Odd, but this is my first fighting game. Love the hell out of it. First question, what else for the old Playstation 3 could you recommend for a babby to get into?
Also, any ideas for beating Hi-no-Kagutsuchi in story mode? Is it some kind of gimmick fight where you have to die once and then you come back and kick his ass? Is that the reason he has no health bar? I'm confused.
Jose Anderson
Theres no trick to it just keep hitting him, he is a bit annoying though if Im honest
Jason Wilson
Do you need a lot of jumping attacks? I am completely new at fighting games here.
Carter Ortiz
I want to fuck her desu
Jayden Allen
Same desu
Grayson Gomez
Played Persona games back in the olden times. Does this fighting game have anyone from P1 and P2? I wish to beat up Alana (whatever her other name is in the original version ported to the PSP is.) She was a dumb blond annoying idiot.
Kevin Green
Under Night in Birth would be something you'd be into.
I'd also just add that I want to fuck Marie too.
Isaiah Smith
New Persona only
Ryder Hall
Ah carap.
Anyone have any tips on this too?
Jeremiah Johnson
The games are on sale right now for PS3. But I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Should I buy Arena instead of the DLC which is four bucks cheaper right now or should I just buy Ultimax and the story DLC. Ultimax is just an overall improvement and a sequel, right?
Elijah Brown
Ultimax and Arena Story DLC + Adachi Story DLC Ultimax characters have more moves and it plays better, 0 reason to play Arena.
Liam Baker
This. Ultimax is pretty gud. I like it.
Xavier Parker
>First question, what else for the old Playstation 3 could you recommend for a babby to get into?
Tekken Tag Tournanment 2 has tons of content. I mean old school era unlockables that would be DLC today. Get it.
Tyler Morris
Can you give me a quick rundown on the DLC's worth buying and unlockables? The fucking PSN store is so shit at this. Also, the Arena Story DLC is sitting at 10 bucks right now while the main game is only 11 something with all the DLC. Its only the story bits, right?
Angel Russell
I thought it already shut down?
Gavin Baker
The Arena story is just the story mode, yes. There's no reason to buy Arena itself unless you want to have fun with the way the characters in it used to play
Tyler Richardson
I'm fairly new to fighting games as well, but I got Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 recently and I've really been enjoying it. It has a really extensive tutorial if you're new and, despite losing a lot of my matches, it's very satisfying to play, it's made by the developers of P4A as well. The real key to getting good at fighting games is just to practice. Xrd does have an extensive tutorial, but there's no way to put what it teaches to use other than losing over and over and learning from your mistakes.
Julian Collins
The only DLCs you want are Arena Story and Adachi Story. All other DLCs are literally just palette swaps for characters and different music for lobby, pointless unless you play to play a lot of MP which you won't because it's dead.
Benjamin Walker
Oh, okay. I guess I'll buy Arena some other time then.
Kevin Scott
What about DLC characters? I was a stupid idiot who didn't download Marie when it was free and now I'm regretting it.
Jacob Bell
Honestly I like Arena more than Ultimax but nobody plays it. I mean, you can buy them too if you want some fresh gameplay. Marie/Adachi/Margaret all play somewhat differently from the main cast.
Gavin Flores
Netcode client for the leaked arcade version of P4AU 2.0 when?
Evan Mitchell
Who are you going to main in Persona 5 Arena?
Pls make it Arcsys I just want to play as my wife.
Blake Foster
They don't matter either outside of Adachi who you want for his story. Buying characters is only for MP or playing vs AI.
Caleb Carter
Are Navigators pointless as well? I only want to play this for some light online and more local play. Also, can you pretty much unlock Arena shit if you play enough or do you have to buy those?
Angel Miller
Navigators are totally worthless in terms of gameplay, they just talk to you in the middle of fights. It is cute though and I don't regret buying the Fuuka one. Not sure what you mean by Arena shit but you pretty much don't unlock anything in these games, it's all DLC.
Dylan Thompson
Navigators are basically just the announcers. You know, shit like "You're doing great, enemy is below X HP". By default there's only Rise I believe, you can get other people if you don't like her voice.
Brayden Howard
Do they work in offline? What I mean by how you can unlock Navigators if you played enough in arena. I think it's only in Arena. Ah well, I'm buying Ultimax for now. These games are so expensive I wonder whens the next time they'll come back on flash sale. Also, >buy a color pack of 8 >can only use 2 offline Yo fuck that shit, I'm only buying the story DLCs and characters and maybe Navigators.
Landon Hernandez
Oh yeah, you can unlock the navigators, I forgot. I just bought Fuuka in P4A and it carried over. You have to do all the Score Attack courses on the highest difficulty with the character you want. Shadow Labrys, Sho/Minazuki, Marie and Margaret don't have navigators, and you have to buy Adachi's. To get Nanako you have to beat the Score Attack courses with Sho and Rise, and to get Fuuka you have to beat them with Minazuki and Shadow Labrys. They work offline too, just not in training/challenge/story mode, only in actual fights. You can actually use all the colors offline, it's just that the all gold and all black colors are specifically barred from being used online
Nolan Thompson
I told you that the fucking palettes are MP only.
Levi Ramirez
Makoto and Akihiko
Anthony Mitchell
Adachi-Akechi tag team.
James Williams
How do I go from button mashing retard to semi competent at fighting games?
Adam Perez
Firs things first: Stop mashing buttons. Mashing is a bad habit you need to get over. Try doing short combos and input everything as clean as possible.
Cameron Campbell
Learn your character. Learn to block. Play lots of games against people better than you, as this forces you to stop mashing and start thinking about how to play around the tactics that they throw at you. Watch high level games and think about why they make the decisions they do.
