are they right, Sup Forums?

why not both?

Why not both?

both of these

Couch co-op doesn't even exist anymore. What the fuck is this guy on about? I would love if more devs did couch co-op.

This. Sometimes I wanna play with my buds in the same room, sometimes I just wanna play online.

¿por qué no tanto?

games today don't even have singleplayer campagin coop. It's all about pvp multiplayer

>implying devs haven't done anyway with couch co-op

Not even fucking Halo 5 had couch co-op.

well you don't have to deal with lag if it's local co-op so it's actually a better experience.
I guess he doesn't want to deal with interacting with people in the same room though. It's harder to call people Loser Noobs to their face.

almost all games since the beginning of time are pvp

>IT'S [CURRENT YEAR] STOP F***ING DOING THINGS THAT I DON'T LIKE!!!

i hate to bring my sob story to you, but people like this are on the rise and probably in the majority. my steam/xbox/ps4 game has multiple negative reviews for having couch co-op but not online co-op.

that will be outdated by 2018 and couch coop will be back

>Can't just have both

it's 2017, every game should have online support, even if it's not dedicated servers at least let people p2p the game on two screens

both if possible is obviously the best but i'm disappointed with how many indie games coming out these days have local co-op only
i'm not a teenager anymore, i rarely ever see my friends and if i do it's usually some kind of event
so many great looking games ruined because i can't actually play them with anybody

2004 was the golden age of couch co-op

People who don't like CCO are NEETs with no friends

the term golden age has been misused so many times it has lost all meaning now

neets are the only people who have time to go over their friends houses to play video games
if you're an older adult you're doing something else with friends like going to a bar or something, idk i don't have friends
sure online co-op can help no irl friend neets but it also helps the busy-body casual as fuck gamer that had way more disposable income cause it's easier to just "hit up" your "bro's line" and see if he's "down for a sesh" or what have you

most of you fags bitch about how you dont have any friends so i dont see why local co op is such a big loss

That's because people are retarded and think implementing couch coop takes the same amount of resources as implementing it online. What they don't realize is that once you start dealing all the variables the internet has the workload skyrockets. Now you have to worry port forwarding, lag compensation, making a UI to find/join games, deciding how players will connect to each other, that and a whole bunch of other things. And finally to top it all off, making sure all those features work correctly while running at the same time.

I agree.

I like you think and write user.

>t. doesn't have irl friends

Literally the shit idea that has meant i've bought 3 games this entire gen.

>idk i don't have friends
thanks for invalidating everything you just said

my friends and I go to bars and still chill and play vidya, sometimes all night (like sonic mania release day)

Couch co-op is FIFA night

>going to bars
Literally the biggest waste of time and money ever. I can't believe people still go to them.

Same screen co op is fucking garbage and always has been, or st least it always is when it splits the screen. Fuck that shit, either the friend brings a tv or more preferable the host provides a second TV set up for co op.

they're fun if you want to shoot the shit with friends over a game of pool or darts while making new friends and possibly fucking hot girls, but it helps to not be poor I guess

Bars are not where you go to hang out. Bars are where you go to loggered or pick up sluts. You do nothing with your friends there, they only go for the same reason and you all go together for the implicit reason of backing each other up in the event shit goes south.

online coop is more likely to attract customers yes

No, man. Beers, bantz, music, splitscreen Resident Evil 5/6. That's the shit right there.

>tfw people just a decade younger probably haven't played splitscreen

yeah, if you pretend sports games dont exist

>Negative reviews
>For an extra feature

Buy a Nintendo console. They have it in almost all of their games.

Fuck online, local for life. Online is full of kids and faggots, local is excellent times all around.

I make a little over 90k a year, so I'm not poor. I'd rather do anything than go with a bunch of drunk fucking idiots to "hang out" with my friends. I'd rather play vidya or play pool at my house or go to the track and do some laps in our cars. Bars are a waste of everything unless you're some dumb 21 year old. Or you know just not do any of that and do stuff with my wife and kids.

Anyone who says "it's -insert current year here-....." as if that someone helps their point come across in an argument is a total retard and should be ignored.
If you can't actually make an argument as to why then shut up.

Go in the steam forum for crawl.
Those faggots defend offline coop only to their death.

>wife and kids
I'm so sorry

>its a made up lifestyle episode

its okay you can just admit you're a sperg. you're among friends here.

even if he isn't making it up, he sounds like he's old as fuck so it's a little weird being on an anime board that discusses childrens videogames.

>being this salty in 2017

I can only feel pity for those without friends to play games with, fuck your internet buddies i'm talking about real friends

I hate playing online with strangers.
None of the people I know would never want to give some games a chance if I didn't convince them, let alone purchase it.
I hate having to buy a copy of a game I'd only ever want to play with a buddy when it's shit by itself and I'd never touch again.
I hate playing with lag.
I hate the absolute non interaction that goes on with online when in real life you see just how much a person hates or likes a part of a game. I'm soulless/quiet as fuck online, real life you can have subtle reactions someone else can catch on and either play off that or fuck with you.
Fuck online "co-op"
It's never as good and never will be.

No and they can go fuck themselves.

>my steam/xbox/ps4 game has multiple negative reviews
What game is it?

>idk i don't have friends
Clearly. 90% of the time I'm hanging out with friends, we're just chilling at my place playing game or watching classic Simpsons.

RE5 may not be as good as RE4, but I still love the hell out of it for being the perfect co-op game.

Couch co-op, online co-op and co-op through Lan should be a thing for every co-op game.

>every game should have online co-op

EA executive John Ravioli, is that you?
>single player RPG?
>it should have online co-op because of reasons.
>said reasons involving microtransactions and subscription fees.

Unfortunately being uneducated about how online works is overwhelmingly the norm, and we're forced to compete with companies that have 100x+ the budget.

pic related, it really sucks. If people just posted "I don't like the gameplay" that would be a complaint far more valid.

you can probably find it through searching this review

Stop being a bitch and just post the name of your game.

You being so dodgy about just saying the name of your game leads to believe it's actually shit.
