Have we forgiven them yet?
Can we love this game now?

Have we forgiven them yet?
Can we love this game now?
Probably not. Sean Murray is still at large and gone.
Can I go on cooperative adventures with my friends yet?
>free patches
its shit they said was in the game before it was released
been playing since day one and still enjoying it.
nice to have a genuinely fun game for once
Man I don't even give a shit about no man's sky but I have so many questions to ask that guy.
What are ypu talking about, he's still working on the game
No because the game's entire premise and mechanics are still ripped from a mobile game.
You know, I don't know.
Portals let you fast travel now and there is some multiplayer now.
I know you can race exocraft.
>60$ Early access title
Too little too late.
You can't just brazenly fuck people over, and then try to double back on it when it doesn't work.
Sean, adding basebuilding to a game about exploring and never coming back does not make your game automatically good.
He's made no public statement about all the questions people have had. He lied about so much in interviews.
The game might be good now, but what was promised at launch was still not there and the dude lied on multiple tv spots about it.
That was the damage that was done and no amount of good will could really fix that.
Nomad best exo.
It really sucks you have to build a garage on the planet to use it though.
They already have the money. What do they care.
At the least, they care for their reputation. Which is something.
I recently just got the game because I heard it was much better. Got bored within an hour.
I'll end up going back to it eventually, but so far it wasn't really my cup of tea.
At least the No Man's Sky team is actually trying, unlike fucking Bioware who abandoned the shit heap that is Andromeda, but still expect consumers to have enough confidence in them to buy Anthem.
I'm actually kinda excited to get back to it soon, haven't played since release
But is it still as aimless as before? The base building and vehicles are really cool but I'm not sure I can do that get resources -> go to new planet cycle again
>Entire gimmick of the game is still pointless and effects literally nothing gameplay wise
k
>I've never played the game and have no idea what i'm talking about- the post
Can I play with my friends?
Do planets get more weird the closer to the center I get?
Did they finally add the "halo-inspired" combat?
>Listened to all the community
so it's still trash, then.
There are quests now with base building and Artemis.
So there is abit more direction.
>Can I play with my friends?
Sort of, they just show up as light orbs though
>Do planets get more weird the closer to the center I get?
No
>Did they finally add the "halo-inspired" combat?
This was never a thing for NMS
>Yes, kinda.
>Yes, but mostly the rad planets
>You have new mods to change you weapon.
Honestly, it's probably one of my favorite games of all time. I know it's not for everyone, but it scratches my own itches.
>release a game that is basically early access
>charges for the price of a AAA title
>people complain that's it's shit
>"w-we'll fix it!"
This shit seemed like such a scam from the very beginning. Why the fuck weren't a lot of the new patch content in the game from the beginning? And a majority of the stuff Sean lied about STILL aren't in the game
I think that no questions refund policy was a good step in showing good intention for the studio. They really blew it promoting features they didn't have.
I'd like to know who stepped in the shit on that. At some point they must have figured they said they could have multiplayer and all those features and someone must have said that they won't have it for a long time.
Everything could have been so much better if they just admitted they made mistakes before they launched.
Are there more mods for exocraft outside the quests?
The plut consumption is annoying
If you were Hello Games, would you rather:
A. Come clean and admit the game's flaws out of the gate. You receive some good will, but many more people pass on the game altogether. This will probably result in low sales meaning less money to put towards fixing the problems.
B. Pretend everything is okay. No alarm means some people will be happy with what you presented, but you'll eat a lot of negative publicity from those that don't agree. However, the money from the former group might be enough to make a recovery.
There's really no good answer, but I think Hello Games is doing well on the path they're on.
