You faggots told me this was good but it's honestly just as bad as Skyward Sword

You faggots told me this was good but it's honestly just as bad as Skyward Sword

>3 hour long tutorial
>too much handholding
>characters talk too much, and most of what they say isn't all that useful or informative because it is either obvious or could have been stated in one or two sentences
>you fight the same boss at least 3 times
>babby difficulty
>incredibly short dungeons with simplistic level design that require no spatial awareness
>terrible pacing issues and the game should have been 20 hours long at best, not 40

Seems like this only gets a pass due to the art style i.e. superficial shit and the fact that it sold like shit so autistic weebs can pretend to know better.

yeah whatever retard

okami thread? who /playedokamiden/ here

Okami is an entire trilogy in one game

You are a faggot

>40 hours long

That's 40 too short. Nice try OP.

Why do weebs get so defensive?

Okami is my second favourite game and I'm glad Sony doesn't have a stranglehold on the HD version

>40 hours.
Did it really take this long for some of you guys? I only clocked in 23 hours by the ark.

Why would they? The original got a Wii port and the sequel was on the DS, so it's not like Sony had a financial stake in it.

The only reason the Hexadrive remaster was exclusive to the PS3 was that in 2011-12, the PS3 was really the only viable platform for weebshit. The 360 was in the Kinect/Don Mattrick years, Japs weren't aware that there was much of a market for their out on Steam yet and the Wii U was only in its infancy.

So you're telling me that you played Okami for 40 hours, didn't have any fun whatsoever, but didn't bother to quit prior to beating the game?

Either you're retarded or you're lying.

Skyward Sword has really good dungeons though.

Yeah, noone will admit it but the main reason Okami is beloved is all presentation. Beautiful graphics, great music, etc. Whenever you complain about its extremely mediocre systems you'll just get some crap about the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.

Sorry that you fell for a meme game. It's pretty mediocre. I think people only claim to like it for the hipster cred.

Very apt way to put it.

took me like 65.

Easy games aren't necessarily bad games. If you can't enjoy Okami for the story and art alone, you're a bonafide pleb.

Yeah, I finished the story by 25 hours. These people have never played the game.

Most of the stuff you said is actually spot on and things people have been complaining about for years, ignore the retards that act like this is a masterpiece because they'll be the first people to download a mod that removes 95% of Issun's text when the PC version releases.
Both my playthroughs took 40+ hours, not everyone rushes through games.

A game can have a lot of text and still be good despite their flaw(s). Issun is not a game-killer.

ironic coming from a faggot who enjoys games for superficial shit like art style and story you pleb. games aren't movies, kid

I agree with everything you said. I keep hearing how Okami is "the best Zelda" but it shares a lot of the same flaws of the weaker 3D Zeldas like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword.

aome of the systems havent held up, and the tutorial is almost unbearable to replay, but it certainly isnt skyward sword. Twilight princess is a fair comparison, high highs and low lows, but I would argue Okami pulls ahead on presentation.

It doesn't have to be a game to be enjoyable. Do you not find enjoyment in artforms other than video games? If not, I fear it is you who are the kid.

Yeah

The Star Wars Prequels.

If you hate SS for the Tut then yeah you'll hate this because it has far more hand holding

That being said, if a tut bothers you in a RPG or Zelda game, I don't think its the game for you
