Is this still happening? I'd be surprised if conman didn't cut and run after MN9.
Or is he gonna halfass it and give another "better than nothing"?
Forgot about this kickstarter!
Did it turn out good?
ugh I hate all those designs, plus I have no faith in inafune. MML is my all time favorite game, so disappointed in this.
Designs look good you doofus
stop posting
Has it reappeared in some way?
Kickstarter failed, supposedly got funded by some Chinese company but we haven't heard a peep about it since then.
I still have some small hope, but realistically the chances of this even coming out are slim, let alone being any good.
Different user here, but they looked good in MML. Repackaging doesn't inspire a ton of confidence.
>mfw Sup Forums got hyped for this
>
the fuck Sup Forums do you go to?
>the anime was released on some random Jap site
>apparently this was the Kickstarter reward
>not uploaded anywhere else
Did anyone sign up for that failed project?
there is an anime under development by studio 4°c now
just hope it is good without Inafune's bullshit involvement
Gearworld was released.
Is there anyone associated with the anime Kickstarter who can confirm if they are still working on something, or if Gearworld was the Kickstart reward?
MN9 completely failed to make a respectable Mega Man clone while employing a company who made the Zero and ZX games.
Inafune now doesn't have a staff that's made a 3D action adventure shooter. Why should Red Ash succeed?
>Inafune now doesn't have a staff
You're damn right he doesn't have a staff. Comcept went out of business and shut down. He doesn't even have a job now. Level-5 bought them up.
No clue where this leaves Red Ash, though. I'd assume that since Level-5 bought them, they still have the license, but I don't know what rights Fuze Entertainment had from their funding. Heck, with the game never released and possibly never even developed, it's not clear if Red Ash: Gearworld gives Inafune rights to Red Ash, or if those rights (and Gearworld) stay with Level-5.
Didn't Inafune's studio get bought by Level-5? Does that mean Red-ash is still a go?
>You're damn right he doesn't have a staff. Comcept went out of business and shut down. He doesn't even have a job now. Level-5 bought them up.
Comcept went out of business, but 1 of their offices was bought, and many of the employees moved to Level 5. Now they're Level 5 Comcept. This was entirely a "save face" move by Inafune. He gets to pretend this is teaming up with another master, instead of failure. And by keeping the name "Comcept", he can pretend that the company didn't die.
>Didn't Inafune's studio get bought by Level-5?
Yes.
>Does that mean Red-ash is still a go?
No idea.
Ah, I didn't know he was still working there. Well the CCO (chief communication officer) position is probably a lot better for him. I guess we'll see if his name holds any weight at this point.
It would be nice to see Red Ash come out as a good game.
>mfw Sup Forums got hyped for mighty number nine
>I guess we'll see if his name holds any weight at this point.
Inafune is doomed to be a middle manager on mobile games forever. That's a fate worse than death. Inafune's goal was to make a New Capcom, but with him as CEO. He was gonna show that they were fools for driving him out, and that Mega Man is still a big series.
There was hype for about five seconds from the people who still hadn't been broken by Mighty No. 9. It ended up killing what little faith was left.
Kkkkkkkkkkkkeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
What game???!!?
Finding Hyde Incs website is hard and theres less supporting evidence of Red Ash being made.
Even then though we've heard little or anything about Level 5-Comcept. They probably dont have much to show though.
>Finding Hyde Incs website is hard
Care to link it?
Somehow read that as Red Cash. So blood money
>They probably dont have much to show though.
Honestly? Level-5 just bought up Comcept recently and all accounts indicate that Comcept had close to no funds at that point, so it isn't too surprising. I'd suspect that they are looking at squaring away the whole Mighty No.9 situation right now, ensuring that the whole Kickstarter pledges are settled and that stuff like Mighty Gunvolt Burst is proceeding smoothly. After that, they'll likely worry about Red Ash, assuming they even have the rights to it.
ReDash is still there but theres nothing on game info. Theres also info on mobygames claiming they worked on Monster Monpiece in 2017 but I dont know.
>tfw you almost donated to it when the hype and FUCK CAPCOM sentiment was at its peak
dodged a bullet tbqh

This vid didn't get a lot of attention, but looking back it's hella sad. They have nothing. And it's obvious they have nothing. They have the demo all loaded up making it look like they're in the middle of working on it when they're clearly just faking it. Inafune pretends to be really fascinated by all this. Everything they say is just fluffy bullshit to hide that they have done nothing.
The office is small too, so I don't think these guys could handle a project the size of Mega Man legends anyways.
Inafune was washed up after he left Capcom, but still had the ego and thought that he was king of the world.
KS pledges are already delivered, and outside of Mighty No 9 on 3DS and Vita they've sent out artbooks and the like. As for MGB, thats a strictly Inti Creates thing, supposedly they wanted to use the characters and comcept let them for free.
It's fine if they wanted to create a MML spiritual successor, but did they have to rip off the designs THAT much? This is almost Chinese bootleg territory levels of BAD.
Mighty Gunvolt Burst gives me hope that we'll get some more Mighty No. games that aren't trash. I loved the designs but they were wasted on a game that looked and played like shit.
>but did they have to rip off the designs THAT much?
The idea was to go full nostalgia pandering. But yes, these are bad. It means that MN9 and Red Ash could never get their own personalities, but instead are just knock-offs.
Hell, Rosenkreustilette, has its own storyline about magic girls so it feels more original/interesting than MN9.
>i backed mn9
>saw this
>was already past the time i could pull out
>everything that has ever been done out of capcom for inafune has been a total trainwreck
Except Trinity. I fucking hated Trinity. Fuck Inafune for forcing the Call design literally no one wanted into the game.
>Red Ash could never get their own personalities
bilibili.com
They're pretty decent at having distinct personalities. The big guy just seems like a Teisel Bonne expy, but the girl certainly isn't Roll and I'm not sure if the main character is that much different from a standard anime protagonists. Well, at least he's not too much like Rock Trigger.
Its not even that Mighty No 9 was "so shit its good", it was more "so mediocre its shit, but not even close to shit or bad". Theres still potential in the final product but the Call level was awful, the level design for the most part is overly simplistic except for spikes everywhere and relying on "defeat ____ enemies to proceed" moments, along with a shoehorned dash ability needed to stop bosses from regenerating health.
