ITT we describe games we played a long time ago but can't find anymore, and hope someone else knows what it is. I'll start.
>PS2, cartoonish art style >Local multiplayer but no split screen >Camera followed P1 and if they left P2 behind, oh well (Think Sonic 2 with Tails as P2) >Played as kids in a 3D neighborhood playground >Press buttons to hop on monkeybars, seesaws, etc >Volleyball minigame, server decided with Rock/Paper/Scissors minigame >It was probably on a demo disc
>Local multiplayer split screen >Vehicle based arena battle mode >N64 most likely >Vehicles could transform somewhat, or at least there were different types of vehicles >One stage was like a weird hollow pyramid? >May have had other modes >I only remember a stupid arena with cars/tanks/wtf ever
Aiden Johnson
>PC game >3d >Probably post-apocalyptic >Cover was mostly black with a mushroom cloud (maybe) >high camera angle >might have been an rts or tactical game >possible rpg elements >mid 2000s at the latest, probably earlier
So vague since I barely played it
Julian Richardson
SNES or Megadrive platformer where you're a guy jumping on dragon enemies. You can find a suit of armor to wear.
Jackson Jones
there is a possibility that this was extreme-g.
Dylan Harris
Might as well as this. >ps1 game >looks like fire emblem but it's not >dragons and shit >can literally hit magic from the other side of the map Can't remember but I had more fun than fire emblem.
Hunter Smith
Knack
Gavin Wilson
>n64 >huge blue grid platform >enemies have something floating above their head
Nolan Martin
I'll download the series' roms and isos and take a look. Thanks in advance if this is the one
Daniel Martinez
Tear Ring Saga?
David Long
>ps1 demo disk had Jedi Power bsttles >there was this ninja game demo where you stealthed your way through levels until you got to see motherfucker wearing leopard print
My guess is Tenchu but I was too little to remember other than Jedi Power Battles
James Butler
Welp, found it. Game's one of those rough slav RPGs
Also found this on the way en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fall:_Last_Days_of_Gaia >During the development, Silver Style Entertainment contracted the game designers Damien Folletto and Jeff Husges, ex-Black Isle Studios developers who worked before on Van Buren, the intended Fallout 3 Neat
Jace Parker
I know nearly nothing about this game having only ever watched a couple videos, but something about it has stuck with me and I'd love to find it again. >PC horror game >first person shooter >set in some kind of insane asylum, likely russian >graphics are incredibly bland, almost just shades of grey bland >enemies are asylum patient monster things
I don't remember there being any music from the video I watched. Seemed real spooky. Only time I ever saw it was in the $5 and under PC games section of the Gamestop website like 7 or 8 years ago, so it was probably shovelware.
Jack Perry
I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but one of you have forgotten Whiplash for PS2/Xbox. You know who you are.
Cameron Sanchez
>old pc game >3d mech fighter >main robot was blue and white
Hunter Brown
Rockin' Kats I looked for it for years and found it again and had fun.
Lucas Robinson
Keep this thread alive for 6 more hours boys, I'm gonna sleep and I'll be back in the morning. Really wanna know what game this was, because I played it with my grandpa once and left him off screen and had a great time testing his patience (I was P1). Wanna do it again before he dies
Luis Ortiz
either Sanitarium or Loaded
Oliver Watson
Gnome?
Jeremiah Myers
>ps1 >rpg >You moved characters along a grid to fight, like Tactics >Also has wearable accessories that allowed you to fly over map obstacles and such
Bentley Lewis
Neither of these, it was an FPS, but thanks
Ryder Torres
I'm pretty sure it's My Street. Or at least your description sounds exactly like it
Christian Scott
I don't know if you're saying the grid movement is just to get in to battle or not, but possibly Battle Hunter?
Brody Cook
>old PC game >Play as green dino dude or dragon? >Jump on platforms >Lava
Wyatt Thomas
>Old 3D PC game. >First person >Hey pack soldier >Fought slimy aliens and their biological buildings on an island >Is on one of the 100 boot disk / maximum PC disks on my bookshelf that I can't be assed to look through
Cameron Lopez
Croc, Legend of the Gobbos
Elijah James
I only played the demo version of it on a ps1 demo disk >3D platformer >You can get some sort of bat suit or wingsuit > Cartoon art style >play as some sort of kid or little guy
Matthew Moore
Jetpack soldier*
Nicholas Barnes
googled tear rising saga and it wasn't. All I remember was it had plenty of dragons wyverns and angels and shit.
Charles Hill
>played the game on gametap in early 2008 >isometric >robot in a robot factory >alot of puzzle solving. >not point and click; you could move freely
Alexander Moore
Tactics Ogre?
Benjamin Morris
The asylum level of Painkiller?
Daniel Walker
Yes, this is it! Thanks user!
Jaxon Morgan
Looking for a specific video game...trailer.
It was for Legacy of Kain defaince and was on a PS2 demo disc. The rock song on it still haunts me cause I can never remember the damn name.
Aiden Smith
>Tactics Ogre no sorry
Ayden Gray
Nah, not this one either. A few more points of note would be that it had a somewhat more grounded presentation (HUD was simple, only weapons I think I can remember were a revolver and maybe an old WW2-era Russian semi), and it had to have been made around 2000-2007. Definitely not a popular game by any means, I think the whole thing was set in the asylum or around the asylum grounds.
Joshua Campbell
This is not entirely the same, but there was this game back on an old PS1 demo disc that I still have called "Wormhole."
Back in the days of Playstation Underground, you used to be able to get a dual-disc pack of some sort (I don't know the details since my brother was the one that somehow obtained it) with one disc having demos and the other having mini-documentaries and stuff. I only ever had one of these packs, and apparently, to sort of demonstrate how games are made, PS Underground made this game Wormhole where, every issue (as I understood it), the game would get more complete and have more features added.
This was the same particular demo disc pack that had this more-well-known interview on it about Stewart Copeland working on Spyro: youtube.com/watch?v=6Kc2gGycBXc
Anyway, I'm wondering whatever became of that game Wormhole, but I cannot find any information about it online, at all. Does anyone here even know what I'm talking about? The issue in which I played the at-the-time-current version of it had barely just added obstacles that would damage the player's ship as they traversed the pipeline/level, and the informational video that came alongside the game said that next issue they would add weapons and enemies(?), and I'd love to see if that ever came about.
Probably not, but I figure if there's any thread that'd be able to help me, it'd be this one.
Landon Ramirez
Jersey Devil?
Brandon Diaz
Sounds like My Street or My Neighbourhood. I think it had online play as well.
Blake Ortiz
This is a long shot. I've searched a lot for it. >PC >Point and Click adventure game >Early to mid 90s era >Wild West setting >Played the demo >Only objective is to gather materials in town to make dynamite to get an outlaw in a mine >Saloon may have had a brothel or a dancer who had some of the materials in her bedroom but the demo wouldn't let you go there >no voices but may have had character portrait boxes when talking to anyone
Been searching for years.
Bentley Robinson
>PC game >Late 90's style 3D, think PS1 >Possibly on some demo disc >Basically Mario Kart with squirrels and beavers and such >Tracks were based around the countryside and forests >remember one track where you drove across a yellow field which led to a red barn which you then drove through >Intro cutscene was (most likely) a prerendered clip with a squirrel and some other animals driving around the treetops and branches of a forest in their karts
If anyone has the SLIGHTEST clue as to what it could have been, please respond. I'm starting to think I imagined it all
Ayden Jackson
Almost sounds like you're talking about Chocobo Racing, though that obviously couldn't be it.
Owen Gonzalez
Nah the Jersey devil theme is halloween, the demo i played show a sort of tropical like area ,bat/wing suit wasn't always equipped it was sort of a power up, and you can also have items such as a boomerang.
Jaxon Gomez
Tomba or it's squeal
Colton Wood
>ps2 Carpg >cartooney >you could make money buy putting a taxi (company) thing is on the top of your car
Jacob Baker
Road Trip Adventure, my taste-having nigger.
Jose Wilson
>PC game that was a vehicular deathmatch type game >all vehicles were futuristic looking motorcycles only >in fact entire game had a TRON aesthetic to it >map was full of pointless platforming structures that were just fun to dick around in >game was found in this 1001 or maybe 101 PC games collection
I used to play it so much and it's starting to upset me greatly that I can't figure out what it was.
Joseph Phillips
Vandal Hearts?
Landon Sanders
Kid chameleon?
Alexander Perez
This is it! I always wanted to have the full version of the game after i played the demo but I forgot the name.
Both Tomba and the sequel are great games, though Tomba! 2 had some annoying moments (the minecart ride will suck out your soul).
Definitely check both of them out. If you have a PS3 or Vita, you can get both for around $6 each, or you could just emulate them.
Landon Myers
Speed Punks? Motor Toon Grand Prix? CTR?
Ayden Butler
Kek, I've got that as MoHo. As far as mindless action games go, it was pretty good
Robert Torres
I'm sorry but that's not even remotely close. When I say TRON aesthetic I meant it. Black backgrounds, grid pattern all across the floor, freaky future bikes.
Liam Lewis
game #1 >mid 2000's browser game >3D game where you play as a ball and go through levels >probably shockwave rather than flash And not, it's not marble blast, that's a full game, not a browser one MB is a good game tho
game #2 >also a mid 2000's browser game >multiplayer game where you skate downhill in a sewer pipes >you could buy new boards and maybe new clothes >In-game currency was called kudos
Wyatt Robinson
From the PS1 demo discs...one of them anyways
It was a platformer where you played a devil-like character who can glide i think...also came with this parasite eve resident evil kind of game where you activate shit idk
Jack Lewis
OHH shit nevermind just read the thread its jersey devil...but still stumped on the RE/parasite eve clone
Nathan Adams
Soul Reaver?
Blake Lewis
Dino Crisis? Fear Effect?
Eli Reed
>ps2 car game >don't remember any racing >use weapons based on car an pickups >not cartoon style >deathmatch style gameplay
another one >ps1 racing game >powerups like rockets >realistic looking for ps1 >not related to first game
Nicholas Brooks
Any more info? If I had to guess, 1 could be Twisted Metal Black.
Jackson Martin
i checked and the first one seems to be Twisted Metal Black, thanks a lot.
the second game i just remember driving a blue car in a race as shot a rocket at a guy in front of me which destroyed his vehicle (i am guessing he respawned) and that i was using something like in the picture
Hudson Parker
#1: >90's medieval themed game >I think there was a strategy (or roleplaying?) element to the overall gameplay, but it was interspersed with first person action sequences, when it basically turned into a sprite-based FPS >the FPS sections had you fighting other armored knights on battlefields, walking around castles and I think maybe at tourneys
#2: >released probably early 2000's >I think it was an action game with some sort of sci-fi setting >the character were based on some line of toys (or the other way around) and several of the toys appeared in the game >human characters (main characters?) were a young guy and girl with brown hair >some of the monsters were an ugly green frog guy and a sort of red insectoid - I know there were toys of those, but I'm not sure if they were in the game >the toys had lots of movable joints and I'm fairly sure you could replace their limbs with parts of other toys
#3: >90's sprite based FPS >levels I remember took place in a subway and a huge city at night >the enemies were supposed to be zombies, I just remember them looking like weird gray people >I once saw an episode of some old games related TV show and they mentioned you had squadmates you fought alongside in the game
You Are Empty?
Easton Jackson
noice. Apparently there's only one review
Austin Bell
>#1 Was gonna say Lords of the Realm but this is probably a closer fit
Owen Foster
Old PC game
It was like a grid puzzle game where you played as little orange people. They said little one liners in high pitched voices. Their were usable objects but the only one I can remember is a beach ball. Whole game looked like clay-mation.
Asher Brooks
Never played the game and I know jackshit about it but: >it's a DS game >Japanese only, not licensed >there's a train on the cover, that's for sure >maybe two characters of opposite genders as well and flower petals but I'm not 100% sure >kinda reminded me of Sekien no Inganock
I'd be surprised if I got something out of it.
Joseph Baker
PS1 game on demo disc >you start on a huge mountain sliding down >second level is flying above a lava pit all I remember
Luis Bell
Wacky Wheels?
Samuel Johnson
sheep raider
Nathaniel Stewart
NVM, found it. Wasn't even a train, was a huge clock.
Wyatt Flores
Twisted metal or vigilante 8?
Gabriel White
I don't think that's either of those. I distinctly remember the first person combat sections, where you fought against enemies wearing great helms and I don't really see anything like that looking at the screenshots of those two games.
Chase Myers
Sheep raider's demo level is in the forest, not a snowy mountain. Also I recall that you slid down on a dish(?).
Xavier Lee
>PS1 >some space shooter, like star fox >first level's music sounded like a washing machine >first boss was a robot with extending arms
Nathaniel Torres
>n64 game >Main character is a squire >looking for a farmer
Nathaniel Myers
>PC game >90s- early 2000s >was a bunch of board? games >one of the AI character was called Jasper, he was black and wore a yellow T shirt >another one was a dinosaur and ayy lmao
Noah Lee
>MS DOS >Sidescroller platformer >Play as a knight in black armour Don't remember much else. Was the 90s.
Cameron King
I only played a demo of it so, I don't even know if it came out >ps2 game >mafia hitman >get betrayed >have to fight street thugs >can change your outfit to get better skills
Ian Allen
>PS1 >Japanese fighting game >Go through levels fighting mechanical robots
Isaiah Anderson
>PS1 game >Medieval type strategy game with cartooney graphics >Play as a King? >First level there is a battle ongoing in a field with some trees/a road
John Hughes
>PS1 >spaceship shooter >arena's are hexagonal / aesthetic is VR cyber looking >can get powerups and weapons like mine dropper, rockets, etc >remember the soundtrack being pretty high octane
Brody Foster
Just found #2 - it's Last Rites.
Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness?
Kayden Morgan
>PS1 game that was set in various arenas >Camera angle was like a fighting game camera angle, but the arenas themselves were 3D >Characters are able to move about the 3D arena (wasn't constricted on a 2d playing field) >Camera would zoom out depending how far away opponents were, often times making your character really small on the screen >Just remember spamming all sorts of projectiles n shit and zooming around the maps >Cast of characters were all over the place >Some were humans clad in gothic looking armor, others futuristic, and some even being creatures/demons (I think) >Cover had one of the demon looking characters on it
I thought it was a neat concept, but I don't think it caught on. I actually knew a guy whose dad worked on it, had access to early builds and what not.
Cameron Fisher
>Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness? No, sorry. It was like a platformer fighting game where you'd go through several rooms fighting mechanical human-sized robots wearing red.
Easton Butler
>PC, late 90s-early 00ish >3D flying shooter i think in first person >graphics were a slight step up from doom >all the levels were convoluted crazy looking dark and colorful >played on LAN with kids in school pls
James Baker
sounds like tekken, just that is is most likely not
Owen Thomas
Early 2000 i played a PC game demo where you could switch between 3 robots (or androids) and that's all I remember
Kevin Murphy
>original Xbox >be in some building >might have been shooter might have been beat em up of sorts >3rd person I remember >it was like a big add corporate building or something like it >go through a sliding door before being on the roof where I think you fight a helicopter
Cannot remember the name of the game just vague memories
Dylan Ross
#1 kings quest maybe?
Isaiah Cox
Destrega?
Joshua Carter
Scorcher?
Nathaniel Rogers
Yeah, that ain't it. I think it was made by an American company? Also I don't really remember there being any like..combos or anything, but then again, last time I saw it was like 15 years ago. I think it was like everyone had a button that did a certain function like melee or ranged. Certain characters had more range than melee and vice versa.
Not it, but the camera position looks very similar!
Sebastian Kelly
#3*
Owen Murphy
Wipeout 1, 2, 3 or 4?
Bentley Jenkins
>PS1 action adventure game(?) >3D with platforming >starts off with a dude running up a spiraling mountain to fight a dragon, I think there were pitfalls along the way >fights with a sword, may or may not have spiky hair >Menu screen had a picture of a grave with some yellow flowers or something near the bottom
Caleb Flores
Anyone remember this game?
It was one that one issue of OPM, but never ended up releasing in america.
How did it turn out?
Jackson Young
actually the grave was on the pause screen
Cooper Ross
>PS2 game >brother and a sister (think one/both of them was a witch or wizard ?) >3D platforming game >don't remember much apart from walking through a cave at one point
the details are completely lost on me as i got it at a car boot sale when i was 8
