Necromancer + smoke bombs = infinite turns and kills everything easy

Play a Warrior/rogue/cleric/wizard

that way you can have a Rogue/wizard/cleric/warrior and a Wizard/rogue/cleric/warrior and a cleric/warrior/wizard/rogue in your party also

Lone wolf, Polymorph, You'll be one shotting everything by the midgame

Here's some beginner tips:

Search every container you find (that's not tagged as red) because they often contain very useful stuff and gear.
Don't go getting into combat until you have 4 party members
Do quests for XP early on
Pet Pal is a good skill to have
Don't be afraid to craft weapons if you have to. They always craft at your level which tends to be useful in the early game
Don't play like an ape. Combat requires a little bit of planning in most cases
many boss/critical encounters can be resolved without combat
selling loot is the best way to make coin

Summoner is by far the strongest class in the game, invest two points into Necromancer and pick up Summon Bone Widow, it scales off your Summoning and at any given point in time will have twice the health and deal double the damage as your Incarnate, while coming with a free movement skill. Elves are the best race because they come with a free AP skill but you can play whatever you want.

Thievery is broken, two points in it and you'll never run out of gold.

t. never got to the second island

Lone Wolf doesn't boost Polymorph retard.

I'm near the middle of Act 3 and Bone Widow has been consistently outdamaging my Warfare/Poly guy. It three-shot Reimond a couple hours ago. I would say high damahe builds like 2H Warfare outdamage it because of the retard scaling past level 15 but that doesn't make it less useful.

meant in regards to the thievery. Everything requires 3 points at minimum.

Just steal pure gold, you'll never run out and it's faster than going through the hoops to steal their rare items of equal value.

Ifan best companion.

The hardest boss is character creation son

I can't get into the game

the ship is so tedious

I thought Polymorph would turn you into an actual shapeshifter, but all you get is different kinds of skins and snakehead/bullhorns

You mean the beginning?

yes

Never played the first, but played PoE and found it be an absolute chore to play, honestly horrendous.

Will I like this?

if you thought poe was a chore, you'd probably hate this since it's turn based

>asking for spoilers before even playing the game
why bother? are you autistic?

It's like 20 minuets long. maybe longer if you take your time and loot everything.

Doesn't lone wolf double your attributes? So all those bonus poly stats still get doubled it is just the actual combat skill doesn't get a bonus else it would double dip the lone wolf bonus.

Time to prepare for charm spells boy, bone widow is good high damage fuck, but without magic armor it's useless against mages and they may turn it against you.

ye, I don't know what it is. I fairly well liked DivOS 1, even enjoyed PoE and Tyranny.

Maybe it's how DivOS 1 started, you had a clear mission. In 2 you just kind of start on a ship about to sink and then wash up on an island.

I am fairly certain lone wolf specifically excludes polymorph bonuses

replay value is shit
rpg elements are shit
new armor system is frustrating
armor aesthetics are shit
quests are broken
origin characters are annoying as shit
enemy health bloats are retarded
end of Act 2 and Act 3 are shit
final boss is buggy and shitty

Trust me nigga, I must've played the opening act for 20 hours just picking the perfect class and party setup, and this is what ticked with me the most:
MC (preferably Fane) as Aero + Ranged (trust me if you like playing archers you'll absolutely love this one, I personally prefer melee)
MC (preferably Fane) as Warfare + Pyro (basically Battlemage but with Pyro instead)
MC + Ifan as Paladin (Hydro + Warfare + 2Hand) and Fighter (Geo + Warfare + Dual Wield)
Red Prince as Summoner + Aero + Wand and shield
Sebille as Wizard (Geo + Pyro), dual wands/staff

Perhaps I'll invest in Poly once I get out of the Fort.

protip: invest in warfare instead of weapon skills
damage scales as (base stat + weapon skill) * warfare

I feel like 2Hand is worth upgrading due to the crit multiplier, especially if you're playing as a human.

when you consider that 10*10=100 and 10+10=20, it isn't really

Who the hell cares about spoilers? Are you autistic?

I got my purging wands, should i kill slane or no?

this is correct

I did, but mostly to see if I could cheese him with my necromancer.

GOAT

>get on the ship for the first time
>can't find fane
>reload a save to reboard the ship to check it out
>follow fane
>he despawns at a life boat
WHAT THE FUCK I NEVER LOST ANY REP WITH HIM OR ANYTHING? IS HE GONE FOR GOOD?

So the companions that you don't recruit.
Are they always gonna die after the boat fight?

Seems like it, I could swear there was one or two that don't actually die but just decide to part ways and try to do their shit on their own

>sjw strike again

>spreading his party so far apart like that
Got fucking rekt did ya?

It would be silly not to put ranged characters on high ground before talking to a powerful demon.

Nails + Repair Hammer/blunt weapon = lockpicks
Undead don't need lockpicks, so undead rogues are pretty neat

White!

He hides in the hidden alcove at the beginning of the game. He is near the same path you find the red prince. He is on the other side of the broken bridge.

The elf with the hat in the manor next to the graveyard with a bunch of slaves. To kill or not to kill?

What didn't you like about it?

Does Bone Widow benefit from Summoning?

He is a Lone Wolf and wants to kill you.

where the best torrent at?

All summons benefit from Summoning, doesn't matter which magic school they are from

There a place you can respec? I kinda made a mess of a few characters and want to redo some skill points.

Why the FUCK didn't you start playing before now?

You can respec whenever you want after the first act / starting zone

bottom hold of the lady vengeance, the spooky mirror

I am having fun with necromancer.
Summoner is probably the best and is fun
Polymorph looked interesting but have no tried it. You can pretty much swap classes any time you want though, after you reach a certain point in the game. so you can try out anything, just need to find/buy spells

Make sure to pirate this, fuck Larian.

I just started playing and have a question. Do you learn new skills through levelling up or just through the book/scroll things?

skillbooks

this
fucking larian sjw ruining video games

This is prob the thing that annoys me the most, otherwise enjoyable game.

go nuts. You can respect into anything you want come act 2. It's not a PVP game so breaking the game via OP builds isn't hurting nobody but your own enjoyment.

Bone Widow or Incarnate for a summoner with 10 lvls?

Sawyer, you seriously need to balance out your shitposting.

you can give infusions and use elements with incarnate so if you like to use those

U mad bc Trump won but u still arent living easy on ur cotton plantation? Enjoy permanent unemployment

Retard, u can put frost armour on ur summons
