People got mad that this guy homogenized an original character in his fanmade remake

>people got mad that this guy homogenized an original character in his fanmade remake
>Nintendo does it in their own official remake and it's fine

Now that the precedent has been set, do you want an official PM64 remake with Bowser Jr. replacing Jr. Troopa and Twink as a Luma?

Dr Toadly is a fucking badass
Why should I care about a generic magikoopa

>>Nintendo does it in their own official remake and it's fine
You got a source on this op? I don't think it's fine.

Wait, are they remaking Paper Mario? I'm confused

Left: infamous Paper Mario 64 fanmade "remake" that updates graphical style to TTYD, except replaces a lot of character with miyamoto-tier homogenization, creator says it's "his" project and he can do what he wants with it. Sup Forums rages into an autistic fit.

Right: Official Superstar Saga remake that homogenizes multiple characters (pic is just an example of one).

But the Magikoopa doctor wasn't an original character, it was literally a Magikoopa in a different color cloak. Its the same shit as Toads having different color spots.

And they kept the Jelly Sisters, making them look even more busty and curvy

"it's fine" because no one really gives a shit about SS+bowser's minions

>homogenizes multiple characters
>Changes the generic Magic Koopa to a Toad that has more personality and already appeared in a previous game
>Changed the dead skeleton of Donkey Kong to a regular skeleton
>Geno removed with no replacement

>The island residents are all the same
>Queen Bean has even bigger tits than before
>Bowletta still has tits
>The Bros Corporates are still the same
>the border hopper Bros are still the same
>Jellyfish Sisters and the younger sister are still the same
>The Hammer makers are the same
>The picture taker dude is still there
>The cafe dude is still the same
>The bean town shop owners are all the same
>bosses are all the same

So anymore examples? Please ruin my gaming experience.

What does "homogenize" mean in this context? Takong old characters and replacing them with more contemporary characters?

more or less. taking unique characters and making them fit in with the rest of the standardized cast. think of like how sticker star made every npc a generic toad, though that's on the more extreme end of things

>And they kept the Jelly Sisters
gonna need some pics

I can't see them anymore since i just got through that part, remember that they go to sleep after you retrieve the pearls for them and the spa gets closed temporarily. But they're still their, look pretty much the same put they definitely gave them some better curves

>Bowser Jr. replacing Jr. Troopa

That was just something he made, not for the actual game iirc

They still look fucking hot
But they still wont get porn because shit taste nomalfags wont commission it

>Geno removed with no replacement

Good

Starlow is still in the game though :^)

Oooh. Meh, that is lame. On one hand, I quite enjoy the established "races" in Mario, but it was also fun having just random designs all in the same world.

Makes me wonder, have any of the Paper Mario races showed up in other Mario games? Dugans? Ratooeys?

You wish, you floating circle object fucker

M&L:Remake still has all its races of people, none of them were retconned.

Uh.....

As a secret unlockable character in Minion mode, just like Bowser Jr. and even the Prince. You need to meet certain conditions to even unlock the mission that recruits them.

>Changed the dead skeleton of Donkey Kong to a regular skeleton
FUCK THAT SHIT

Nice goalpost, she didn't have to be in the game, she is in the game

So she gets like 2 seconds of screen time, and then she gets benched. You know, the reason people hate her is because she was always on screen and never shut the fuck up.

So how much is actually changed in the game? I know Bosses can now drop new badges because I got one for beating the dragon on Hoohoo Mountain and Queen Bean

HELLO YELLO!

So far, all bosses drop a badge, including Rookie and Popple having their own badge drops. Different kinds of gear you can get from certain enemies as well.

I noticed all almost enemies having a defense stat. More enemies having weakness/resistance to certain attacks, like the starfishes taking less damage from any physical attacks, but being weak to both element attacks.

E. Gadd gives you some different/new gear from brewing coffee. Or at least i think so since i dont remember what he gives in the original.

It also feels like that the animations and timings for button presses are abit slowed down than the original, i did a lot of early button presses when first getting access to Bros Moves.

Haven't beaten the game, i just started the Beanstar piece collection
