Give Them a FUCKING REST!!!!!!
Give Them a FUCKING REST!!!!!!
>Stop making money!!!
But user we just had this thread yesterday.
How do we make Kirby innovative? Last few games have been fun, but very similar...
No one likes Yoshi games, but Kirby games are always on point.
Kirby and Yosh are shovelware to pad between the drought.
Literally takes zero fucking effort to make these boring slow ass platformers and only drones will defend it.
Yoshi can fuck off.
Kirby is great.
Generally true, but Woolly World was great. And Switch Yoshi looks like more of the same.
>Last few games have been very similar
Give Kirby a break, he's been in way more experimental games than any other gaming mascot.
>even when being milked to death kirby STILL doesn't have a bad game
how does he do it?
They wont because nintendo fans just eat that shit up no matter what it is.
Sakurai
GIVE THEM A FUCKING REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEST
>a single bad game in the entire image
>LOL EATING UP THAT SHIT AS USUAL
the only bad game on that pic is new island though
>it's literally the same thread except the title is different and the image size has been reduced
also IGNORANCE IS BLISS
Based ignorance is bliss poster
IF YOU KNEW JUST WHY YOUR HERE FEAR WOULD JUST BE HEIGHTENED
I wouldn't even say it's bad. It's just not as good as Island or Wooly World. Island DS and Story can fuck off, though.
How about I give YOU a rest? *unsheathes katana blade*
fucking cringe
I thought it was "Delighted"
God I hate Yoshi
Kirby games are good but Yoshi gets shit after shit. Just remake Yoshi's Island and be done with it.
Kirby just needs a two year hiatus to reinvent the formula.
Every Kirby game since Return to Dreamland has been basically the same thing with a slightly different hook. It's time for an art style change at the very very least.
Sakurai hasn't worked on a Kirby game in like 15 years.
What else do you expect HAL to work on?
You want more Boxboy?
As for Yoshi, Tezuka just really likes him
>Yoshi had one Wii U game, one 3DS game, and will have one Switch game
wow
PRINCESS
TOAAAAADD STOOOOOOOOOOOOL
The butthurt from those "I hate kirbydrones"-drones was amusing. What compels OP to make such shitty thread?
>Completely ignores the fact that Blowout Blast and Battle Royal are foreshadowing a potential mainline Kirby game with 3D gameplay that HAL has been wanting to do but trying to jolt down the the core mechanics with the succ and the abilities.
Make common enemies tougher, attack more often and quicker, and slightly more health as you progress throughout the game.
Kirby doesn't need a rest. That said, I do want to see more innovation and/or production values. 2.5D levels like 64 would be ideal, but I doubt we'll ever get that again
Oh look, it's this fucking thread again
haha
Give this thread a rest. You stopped for about 2 months and that was nice, but we just had one yesterday and we don't need another.
Reminder that Yoshi's Island 1 was made good only because Shiggy was frustrated with higher ups at Nintendo trying to compete with SEGA with pre-rendered graphics so the dev team took the Super FX chip and upgraded it and made it colorful.
what games here are actually worth buying?
>Switch Yoshi looks like more of the same.
Maybe if you completely ignore the unique gameplay style.
Wooly World is a good game with unlockable stages that can get challenging. Many agree Planet Robobot is great, but give Triple Deluxe a try as well. I think the latter is on discount because of nintendo selects.
robobot is the best out the nu-kirby trilogy
Woolly World is better than any Kirby game up there
Good-Feel makes better 2D platformers than Hal
The only one who needs to rest is the Fucking art designers of Epic Yarn/Wooly World
Go away from Yarn, you didn't need arts and crafts, so something else, go back to anime Wario
WAKE UP!
Yoshi has had one good game.
Kirby games are fun for everyone. Plus they handle experimentation better than most Nintendo IPs.
People here like making the same threads over and over again for some reason.
I'm sure OP is autistic or something.
You can't as long as Neo-HAL are involved. The current director is dead-set on making everything as safe, consistent, and sterile as possible, and they are completely incapable of making a real 3D Kirby game. If they do make the attempt, and they will out of obligation and an attempt to get more easy money, it will be safe, low-concept isometric bullshit worse than Mario 3D Land, it won't even live up to just wandering around Air Ride's City Trial on foot.
why would you walk like that, seems awkward
But that new Kirby game for the switch looks great
Where the fuck is that Bowser model from
kirby and the rainbow curse is shit
I loved Woolly World, especially the soundtrack being extremely different to Yoshi's Island yet still being really good in its own way
new game has the unique playstyle like the other user said, but I'm hoping for some levels to go absolutely crazy with the gimmick and be extremely different, depending on the perspective you play the level in
Why is Yoshi there? He has like half as many games there and two of them are the same game.
>What else do you expect HAL to work on?
Ice Climbers
Kirby is on a schedule of standard platformer ->weird game->standard platformer and has been for over 2 decades.
Me on the left, Haha!
>"weird game" is now so safe and boring they'd rather recolor the protagonist a million times instead of include other characters or make new minor characters
No Yoshi game will ever top Woolly World's comfiness, they fucked up. They should've done the cardboard garbage for the Wii U and the yarn shit for the Switch.
>Making this thread again
OP give it a fucking rest.
This is now a Kirby thread
I can understand Kirby (although, I can keep playing new ones continuously at this rate) but why Yoshi? He's only gotten 3 games & a port.
A baiting OP, but I agree in two ways:
1) kirby games feel stale as of late; I don't think they've done anything really interesting to the main-game formula for some time, and the "gimmicks with Kirby skin" stuff is hit/miss.
2) Yoshi has had, like, 1 good game. Please give him a rest until you know how to make another good Yoshi game.
Also: Yarn aesthetic sucks for people >6 years old. Please don't use that unless you are remaking baby games.
Yoshi is all right.
Kirby was never good.
almost every one of those games is good, or at least a lil fun
>Kirby was never good.
You take that back right fucking now.
wooly world is great fun!
No one likes Kirby games, but Yoshi games are generally on point.
That's a lot of assumption when even the current director stated that he is willing to change from his formula.
It's not assumption, it's observation.
>the current director stated that he is willing to change from his formula.
Then do it.
If anyone has to go it's the fucking mustache man...like into the elderly home with him and throw the keys away.
Ugh this. I never though Nintendo would go all out supporting Fire Emblem starting with 3DS. The worst thing is that FE has this shitty weeb anime vibe that wasn't present in some of the earlier games.
And now
>musou FE
>literally just Hyrule Warriors but worse with literally who characters
You would think they encourage Koei to make something interesting like Mushroom Kingdom Musou or Kirby Musou instead of knights in armor who may be japanese/chinese/or eauropean episode 42.
The reason you see so many games is that Yoshi and Kirby have companies dedicated solely for churning games out (Good Feel and HAL.). No other Ninty IP has this luxury.
>The current director is dead-set on making everything as safe, consistent, and sterile as possible, and they are completely incapable of making a real 3D Kirby game.
I believe that is an assumption reading that since you're mentioning the director without knowing his true intentions. I agree that it needs a new direction, but Kumazaki has been trying to bring that change by bringing a different gameplay from a cancelled game and Battle Royale's use of ability in a 3D space.
As long as Kirby has a dedicated studio that only makes Kirby games, we will consistently continue getting Kirby games.
You ask where is F-Zero? There is no consistent F-Zero developer.
>they are completely incapable of making a real 3D Kirby game.
Their attempts so far have been the most pitiful I've seen. Even Sonic was translated to 3D with more creativity than Kirby.
I'm don't disagree with that as it is a weak attempt. The time attack and perfect runs portion of Blowout Blast did make for a good challenge, but it also did take away from the level design since they felt very empty. Since this game could be compare to the very first title, I found the first one to be more enjoyable than its 3D counterpart. That's not to dismiss it entirely since it did do a good job in creating Kirby's movement and limiting his flight, and while the bosses are very few, provided a good challenge and transition to 3D.
Why are they putting Kirby hats on helpers now? It looks really bad on most of them. And why are most of them re-used from KSS instead of being half newcomer helpers and half KSS helpers? Why is it still using the flat tile style of 2.5D instead of the dynamic K64 one? Why doesn't Kirby change colors with certain abilities? It doesn't look as good if he always has to be pink. Can you even ride on each other's backs in this? Will Weelie even be in? Flappy sure as heck won't be. Kirby GCN wasn't like this.
>there will never be a Nintendo developed Yoshi game again
how could they do this to him?
What genre would you like to see a Kirby spin-off for?
How would you Kirbify the genre?
>it did do a good job in creating Kirby's movement and limiting his flight
I don't like it. The static camera and the way you have to aim Kirby don't work very well, they feel sluggish and clunky. Air Ride did it better, all that control scheme needs an inhale, spit, and slide.
Not to mention that Kirby is just jumping over floating blocks that feel more uninteresting than the settings of even Sonic Lost World. The original game on GB successfully gave the feeling of traversing a fantastical land, and Adventure improved upon it. Kirby's world should feel more alive than that in 3D, not feel totally dead.
I mean, they started making Kirby not change color so they could be free to do multiplayer games where the other players play as different colored kirbies.
It'd feel weird to flip flop on that solely depending on if the game featured multiple kirbies or not so better just stick with pink.
>The static camera and the way you have to aim Kirby don't work very well, they feel sluggish and clunky. Air Ride did it better, all that control scheme needs an inhale, spit, and slide.
I disagree with that since Air Ride movement was heavily dependent on Smash Kirby with no ability to float through the air and I believe that's an important aspect of his flight. His movement in Blowout Blast has total control for eating enemies and spitting out projectiles. Although Air Ride was a bit faster compare Blowout Blast, so a movement increase would be beneficial.
Atleast Kirby was fun in terms of robobot (the only one I played) woolly world was a slow painful game and makes me think I don't like platformers.
That's a pretty retarded reason if that's it. Just stop including recolored clones of Kirby and keep using helpers and characters.
Give Kirby more platinum-esque gameplay. Enemies should have more health and more combo/dodging based game play. Since robobot was my first game after amazing mirror this was all great.
>I disagree with that since Air Ride movement was heavily dependent on Smash Kirby with no ability to float through the air and I believe that's an important aspect of his flight.
You have to adapt it for 3D. Real 3D, with a controllable camera, in a world with level design. Unless you want to give 3D games low invisible ceilings like 2D games it isn't going to work.
>have always wanted nintendo do really make the next big step for kirby instead of rehashing the same game like it's sonic
>tfw it's not possible since nintendo/hal puts no effort into the kirby games and they still sell well because kirby
1. Kirby spin-offs have to be the most varied spin-offs of any series that isn't mario.
2. Sonic changes shit up literally every game with the exception of Generations/Forces/Colours
3. What "Big step" do you want to see them make? As far as I can see it has a great formula that really doesn't need to be changed.
1. The Kirby spin-offs are garbage.
2. Sonic changes things up as much as the New Super Mario Bros games do.
3. Fuck if I know what the "next big step" is. That is for Nintendo and Hal to figure out. I didn't know I wanted SM64, OoT, MP, F-Zero X, or so many other "next big steps" for franchises until it was finally done. Kirby hasn't had anything like it.
yarn yoshi amiibo is a thing of beauty tho
>bring back power combos
>give enemies more health/make em harder
>stop with the fucking gimmicks like the super suck from 3ds/robobot/mega powers from wii
I was just mentioning about Kirby's movement, the perpective and control over camera is another thing. And yes having a static camera like in Blowout Blast is not that great. Although it is somewhat controllable if you're using the circle pad pro, it does not help with creating a true 3D environment since the camera will always angle in one direction. Aditionally I was not a big fan of the level design as I stated before and felt very limited to go wherever I want, like for example the Castle Lololo stages. The game forces you to go in a specific path rather than flying anywhere you want. I see your point about your Air Ride argument, specifically about City Trial, where you have total freedom to go anywhere.
But then where would you get his Final Smashes from?
>Breath of the Wild - HOLY SHIT, ZELDA IS BACK BABY
>Super Mario Odyssey - AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HOLY SHIT FUCKING MARIO IS BACK!!!!
>Pokemon Switch - OH MY GOD HOLY FUCK A MAINLINE POKEMON GAME ON A HOME CONSOLE HOLY SHIT POKEMON IS BACK
>Metroid Prime 4 - [Nintendo wins E3 with a fucking logo]
>Kirby Star Allies - oh look.. its kirby.. haha... we know how much you love kirby here he isss.....
Kirby was in no rush to make the jump to the Switch with the rate of games it gets. I think HAL should have taken a year off, done some serious research to learn what would it take to bring Kirby "to the next level" akin to the games mentioned above and release it in 2019. Battle Royale (on top of the other games for the anniversary) is more than enough to sate Kirbyfags this year.
>extremely safe low-scale low-concept "experimental" spin-offs with microscopic budgets
>extremely safe extremely samey main games with small budgets that mostly recycle stuff from previous games
This is why the HAL keeps pumping out game after game like this, it's just easy money. If Kirby actually tried to be good, took a risk, and made a big new game, it wouldn't be modern Kirby.
There we go, problem solved.
Yoshi hasint had a successful game since Island. Kirbys main games are always pretty good. Yoshi should be the one shitcanned.
Nice pasta
ARE YOU TIRED OF US YET?
>Breath of the Wild - It's about fucking time Zelda returns to being open world, now it just needs to fix all of its other problems.
>Super Mario Odyssey - Fuck off with 3D Mario trash.
>Pokemon Switch - Will Game Freak finally figure out how to make a Pokemon game again? Gens 5, 6, and 7 indicate that's not likely.
>Metroid Prime 4 - Neat, but where's the gameplay footage?
