>Enjoying a classic RPG on a PS4 with a controller
Feels good
Enjoying a classic RPG on a PS4 with a controller
>RTwP on a console
I can't even begin to imagine how that controls
But Pillars of Eternity is a good game, so I am glad you're enjoying it
>MFW Deadfire never gets ported
Wonder how it sold. Can't imagine the console normies eating this up. Too much reading for them.
Hey
thats not a classic RPG, its a mediocre RPG mimicking a classic
Wrong. Pillars is great.
HAHAHAhahahahAHHAHA
Pillars is better desu senpai
Why the fuck PoE didn't have multiplayer like Icewind Dale and Baldurs Gate?
A tip of the fedora to you too, my fine contrarian friend!
Great or not, a 2 year old game can't be a classic.
because nobody played the multiplayer in those games. playing a story driven game with other people is such a fucking chore. i want to play div os with someone but nobody i know wants to play it and even when i do find someone who wants to play it ends up being a matter of WHEN to play.
It's funny how fast that autist constantly spamming his montages of PoE's review scores and concurrent players disappeared when D:OS2 came and destroyed his numbers.
Seriously tho guys, how does it control?
Is it very frustrating? I'm on the fence here.
>IWD being story driven
I can agree on baldurs gate, but not only is IWD not story driven, its completely linear and you have to make 6 non npc characters for your party anyway
It's funny how his falseflagging succeeded and now there's a war between PoE and Div:OS
>because nobody played the multiplayer in those games
That's not true at all. You can't decide that based on how they are played almost two decades later. When they came out multiplayer was a huge part of their popularity and it was what most game magazine reviews I've read back then were most interested in.
what did he mean by this
It probably won't, the publisher was purely responsible for it and they dropped that publisher
>But Pillars of Eternity is a good game
their multiplayer was completely fucking awful. and putting in multiplayer isn't just this simple shit you can add
If Deadfire and this Complete Edition sell well, I'm sure Paradox will still get in for the port.
Why do you faggots have to try and "prove" one is better than the other? This goes for consolefags as well.
im playing it right now alongside Wasteland 2, I like the game but its not a classic.
>uninspired races
>terrible balancing
>poorly written companion characters
the main plot is pretty cool tho and I enjoy the hardest difficulty despite certain compositions being overpowered
Fuck Nu-Divinity. Their writing is just complete reddit at this point. Old Divinity games knew how to balance their cheekiness. If I wanted to play an RPG with retarded jokes, I'd be signing up at my local tabletop hangout.
>uninspired races
>terrible balancing
what
Did you ever make the slightest attempt to shut him down when he kept fucking up every D:OS thread he could find for an entire year? No? Then don't try to cry about being on the receiving end now either.
The Origins are complete wastes of time too.
Sebilles quest is weak as fuck as far as the master is concerned, you just see him on an island with no build up.
>He fell for the falseflag
What a maroon.
Did you or didn't you, motherfucker? Falseflagging or not doesn't matter when the result is the same.
I'm glad a thread about PoE has been made so I can warn everyone how shite this game is.
>Awful graphics, some of the backgrounds are nice, but the characters, animations, magic effects etc. belong in the early 2000s
>Ancient and stale combat system that is deep, but not fun. Micro-management is a chore and if you don't like it they have an AI system, but guess what, that doesn't work properly
>Mildly interesting main quest, but terrible character, companions, side quests etc. You won't give a shit about anything thats going on
>I hope you like reading because thats all youll be doing in this game
Seriously how this game got good reviews I do not know.
>I'm glad a thread about PoE has been made so I can warn everyone how shite this game is.
kys
Keep fueling the shitpost wars, brainlet.
shut up you pathetic autistic faggot
>Ancient and stale combat system that is deep, but not fun. Micro-management is a chore and if you don't like it they have an AI system, but guess what, that doesn't work properly
The combat system is fine and the A.I. works great, in my experience.
>>Mildly interesting main quest, but terrible character, companions, side quests etc. You won't give a shit about anything thats going on
The game has quite a few great companions and side quests.
>I hope you like reading because thats all youll be doing in this game
This is why these games don't belong on console. Consolefags aren't smart enough to read.
>Seriously how this game got good reviews I do not know.
'Infinity Engine tribute game' is apparently the one subgenre of RPGs where you can make basically zero changes or advancements from games that came out 20 years ago, and get away with it
What's on your mind?
Edér best boy.
>The combat system is fine and the A.I. works great, in my experience.
It worked better in the old games because your physical characters for the most part just attacked enemies without all that many abilities. In PoE every class has so damn many special abilities you have to spend way too much time micromanaging everyone and pausing all the time to pick their next special attack.
>playing a story driven game with other people is such a fucking chore.
It's fucking fun as fuck you pleb.
...
...
>pausing all the time to pick their next special attack.
There is literally nothing wrong with this
...
Interesting insult, considering only those with the deepest of autism would be capable of tolerating this garbage
>This is why these games don't belong on console. Consolefags aren't smart enough to read.
Maybe its just me, but I do prefer to be more active when i'm playing a game, regardless of the genre, I like to be doing something, not reading text after text, especially when the majority of the text is unrelated to the main questline.
Indeed
How's Divinity : Normies Adventures II going for ya son ?
>muh wizards: the post
>top-down RTwP CRPG with multiple characters and a severe number of targetable abilities
>controller
Jesus fucking Christ how horrifying.
I'm currently ripping through bg2 SoA on insane difficulty and loving it. Would I like this PoE? I haven't played any of them.
Holy shit.
if you aren't autistic then yes
if you're autistic then yes
I think so. Just be aware that it's way harder to kite in this game because of attacks of opportunity.
>normies
>turn-based
Obsidiots are going nuclear it seems.
You are being active. You are making decisions and roleplaying. You can rush through the main quest and ignore all side content if you want.
So if I'm a neurotypical rpg player I won't like PoE?
Turn based is objectively much more normie than rtwp. The proof is in the pudding: 30 isometric turn based released in the past 3 years. Only 2 rtwp based released in the past 3 years by comparison.
no, I said if you're autistic you won't like it
those are all weebtrash not real games
>regardless of the genre
i bet you are one of those retards who cry that there's not enough gameplay in a visual novel, if you don't like to read then don't play a game where that's a big part of the game
I like PoE as well OP, but playing on ps4 actually might be hell. They ported it weirdly to where you play more than an hour loading screens from just even going inside a building will take a minute or more.
I'm only counting western isometric games.
Who's the Sasuke of PoE?
The main character, depending on how you act.
>30
I can think of maybe 5
and kys for calling something better becoming more popular 'normie'
Would someone that likes Divinity 2 enjoy Baldurs gate today if he havent ever play it? or does it feels too old for newcomers now?
I am kinda pissed i never got around into trying it.
Probably, depending on if you have any experience with D&D. Some of the stuff in the 2nd edition rules are pretty silly/non-intuitive and the game doesn't explain shit.
Devil of Caroc
>depending on if you have any experience with D&D
Some little experience with 4ed with homemade rules
I played asoiaf way more back in the day though, which doesnt mean a lot.
