WHERE THE FUCK ARE ALL THE SAFE COMBINATIONS???
Just couldn't open anyone of them in the first level.

It's a 3 number lock so just get them by process of elimination, it takes 5 minutes

explore, check all notes and documents you find

Arkane's games reward exploration. Go explore the level, listen to conversations, read letters or diaries.

>MFW it took me like 10 minutes to open the Jindosh Vault.

>notes and documents
There's literally no numbers in those, none.

Explore better. Every safe has a solution somewhere in the same level. The information is always somewhere in the level.

>Not trying THAT code on every first keypad in any game.

Barely anyone does the puzzle properly if you did it for the achuievement, you can cheese it by getting the code off Byrne/Paolo, write it down and then reload an old save back at the door and unlock it for the achievement.

Pretty sure it was only in the first Dishonored

Wait a minute that card: the post

>overseers office
>locked safe
>note about three strictures to remember
>"hey maybe that- oh the journal outright says the code after you read the note"
i was physically upset

Dishonored has ALWAYS gone out of its way to ruin its own puzzles for you. Remember the masquerade level in the first game? Bring a bitch a drink and she spoils the whole thing for you.

Nope, 451 works
Have you never heard of 0451

it's the same code for all the genre games.

I mean, you can still do it without reading the journal. I only noticed it after I figured out the code.

The devs explained that during test, most of their players were too retarded to play the game. Blame the normies

Not the lock. I'm talking about the vault from Death of the Outsider. No way would I ever be able to solve that Jindosh lock, let alone in only 10 minutes.

Literally all of the safes combinations are in the same building as the safe itself (at least the first level)

I only remember using 451 in Dishonored 1, I know it's a call back.

I wish this game was harder. It looks fucking amazing, but I'm playing on the highest difficulty and I can literally bang the walls with my sword to awaken the whole building and then just shoot them in the face with the pistol as they come running around the corner. Maybe it's harder if you want to do shit like ghost the whole level but I want to play lethal and don't like putting restrictions on myself for the sake of difficulty. I can refrain from cheesing, that's one thing, but I'm playing very sloppily yet I'm barely challenged. And I wish someone would have told me about emilys power all being built around nonlethal, then I would have picked corvo. Time travel manor was dank as fuck though.
I opened the journal so I could read which stricture was which instead of going back to the book that listed them.

Just look up a guide, it's all by a generated pattern smarter people long ago figured out how to game.

Newfag.

System shock, bioshock, Deus ex, probably a few others I've forgotten.

Honestly feels like cheating.

you gain nothing from thinking and figuring it out on your own. just google and it and be done.

dishonored.wikia.com/wiki/Safe_Combinations#Dishonored_2_Combinations

I did it on my own. Too prideful for a guide.

No you idiot I meant the code easter egg being in Dishonored 1, of course I know it's from Deus Ex (in itself a reference)

i got interesting in solving it myself, especially for the achievement. it was a pretty complex logic puzzle, but apparently in the US it's something that ends up on the SAT. I looked up a guide to do it, and it's always the same puzzle but the objects/owners switch everytime. there's a speedrunning way to do it, like an algorithim. if you did it fast enough maybe killing bryan/paolo is not needed.

You gain personal satisfaction, and self-imposed challenges is the only way to play Dishonored and not find it boring as fuck.

>self-imposed challenges is the only way to play Dishonored and not find it boring as fuck.
this. game producers drop the ball here.

>modern gaymers
Pic related was my first fucking game at the time, while you weren't even in your fathers balls yet.

funny because that was my first game too

>No way would I ever be able to solve that Jindosh lock, let alone in only 10 minutes.
I think it took me about 15 minutes, but I am not very good at these things in general. It looks daunting initially, but it's just a process of elimination. It's like sudoku.

Not that one. The vault in Death of the Outsider

Retards shouldn't play video games.
