What are must have GBA games...

What are must have GBA games? Recently I bought a new GBA SP to play the Metroid games on the console and I'd like to know what other gems it has.

Right now I have:
Metroid ZM
Metroid Fusion
Zelda Misnish Cap
Zelda ALBW
Mario&Luigi Superstar Saga
Yoshi Universal Gravitation
Golden Sun
Golden Sun 2
FF Tactics Advance
Pokemon Leaf Green

Appart from Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, is there anything more?

Wario Land 4

Pokémon Emerald

GBC not GBA but I remember having a lot of fun with this one as a kid

>Yoshi Universal Gravitation

I thought you threw in some made up bullshit as a joke, but that's actually a game. What the fuck.

Hand over ALBW gba edition

That game was cool although really easy.

Buus Fury
Fire emblems
That Kojima game that uses the sun
The xcom tactics style game

MMBN 1-3

Thanks for the recommendations! I'm really looking forward the Kojima game, sounds like a cool gimmick

Already have one in the VC, it's a nice game but I prefer WL3

Does this one need a battery replacement like RS?

Just checked mine and it says the internal battery ran out, who knows when.

Castlevania: Circle of the moon is very good, my favorite on the system.

If you're into ports, there are tons of great ons from Breath of fire 1 and 2 to Super Mario World to Tales of Phantasia (the worst version to be fair, but it works.)

Sigma Star Saga is my second favorite game of all time, so I suggest that one whole-heartedly.

Pokemon Emerald
Mega Man battle network 3
Final Fantasy Tactics advance
Medabots
Advance Wars 2
Fire Emblem, the one with Hector
Castlevania AoS

The battery in the GBA pokemon games were only used for time based events. You can still save your game and it'll hold the save, but you won't be able to catch nocturnal pokemon.

...

Fire emblem
Fire emblem the sacred stones
Advanced wars
Final fantasy tactics advanced
Final fantasy 1&2 dawn of souls
Final fantasy IV advanced
sonic advanced 2
sword of mana
astro boy omega factor
castlevania aria of sorrow

if you can find patched cartridges

mother 3
Fire emblem 6

The Megaman Zero games are great if you like platformers. They're the best the series has to offer if you ask me. Mother 3 is also a classic, but you'll have to get a flash cart (or pay out of your ass) to play it on your physical console.

Lady Sia is a gem in the system. Cheap too.

V-rally3
Tony Hawk
Harvest Moon
There's some good older game ports of the GBA
I have a list sadly I don't have it right now

Speaking of games that you probably won't play without a flash cart: Rhythm Heaven is amazing too. It's only available in Japanese, but it's completely playable with no knowledge of the language.

Oh, well, at least is playable. I'll pick an Emmerald with a new battery, though.

I didn't know about Sigma Star, thanks! Also, I think there's a bundle with both castlevanias so maybe it's worth picking it up.

About the ports, I already have the NES versions of the Mario games, but Breath of Fire and Tales sounds interesting.

Is the Astro Boy game good? Never heard of it

How about the Megaman Battle Network? I might pick one of the Zero, any recommendations?

Astro boy; summon night 1+2; secret of mana

>I might pick one of the Zero, any recommendations?

Those are great games, I wouldn't call them masterpieces like the first three Megaman X games, but nevertheless they're great games.

Also recommending every Mega Man Zero game.
Better than the X series, in my opinion

Addition: Riveria: the promised land; shining soul 2

Sigma Star is fantastic. An RPG where the random battles are shmup spaceship battles with a bit of an RNG element. It's hell trying to navigate a tight course with a lumbering cargo ship.

Does SP still play GB and GBC games?

Yep it does

Tactics Ogre.

>but you won't be able to catch nocturnal pokemon.
There aren't any nocturnal pokemon.
The only thing the battery does is grow berries, and a handful of nonessential events.

This right here.
Metabee > Rokusho

You are using an everdrive right?

Klonoa 1 and 2
Boktai
Drill Dozer
Warioware Twisted
Max Payne
Sonic Advance
Mario vs DK
Wario Land 4
Advance wars

It's been awhile since I played Emerald, they didn't carry the day/night pokemon system over from Gold/Silver?

Been having alot of fun with this lately

Came here to say buus fury. excellent taste

The Sim games on the GBA are pretty fun.

Shining Soul 2
Mech Platoon
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
Super Mario Advance 4
Tactics Ogre
Metal Slug Advance
Metroid Fusion
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
Yu-Gi-Oh Dungeon Dice Monsters
Bomberman Tournament
River City Ransom EX
Dokapon Monster Hunter

There is no day/night system, but there are still timed events like berries or the sea level in that cave.
