Dont know about you Sup Forums but i am really enjoying this game
Dont know about you Sup Forums but i am really enjoying this game
me too but in hindsight i wouldve rather waited x months before i played it because a lot of quest stuff seems buggy. not gamebreaking bugs but it annoys me
It's even better when you look at the amount of anal pain it inflicts on incredibly mature and undeniably underage PoE backers.
Best RPG I've played in a long fucking while. Even if this is painfully true.
yep, i like it a lot so far
excellent combat
neat combinations of stuff
lots of extra stuff to find
10/10 will continue playing (and then do another round)
THIS
Despite killing Ryker I still have the Reluctant Servant quest open, and when I traveled to the Nameless Isle it was the only quest from chapter 4 that didn't close. So now I'll have that one quest permanently open for the rest of the fucking game.
>and then do another round
Holy shit nigga, me too. Can't even remember the last time I wanted to replay a game right after finishing.
yes, i'm currently playing as fane
next time maybe Lohse?
I've restarted about 20 times trying to make my optimal party (not min/maxing, just trying to get a party that feels right).
Finally got out of Fort Joy but I'm thinking about starting over again.
I was absolutely LOVING this game... until the bugs. It was in Early Access for a whole year, and yet, they launched it without localizations, broke multiplayer with the first patch, and Act 1 is a complete bugfest. It's garbage
I haven't been interested in a game for so long, specially one like this it's fun as hell.
You think this is a good GOTY contender?
Legit question btw.
>switched to tactician because classic was too easy
>getting raped by skeletons everywhere now
>can't fucking progress at all
>last save on classic was 3 hours ago
Send help
Sounds about right my boy. Planning a lone wolf duo of Fane Lohse after the 4-man party run.
Shit. Posted a reply to my own damn self. Here, post limit be fucked.
>Act 1 is a complete bugfest.
I haven't found any bugs desu.
Maybe he meant Act 2 because that was rather fucked till the last patch hit.
Can you change difficulty on tactician?
this is a totaly sane response and not a classic sign of autism
sounds like a game to wait for the extended/final version of
are the legends true? can you tf any of your party members into lizardmen?
It's pretty good. I just wish it had more from the first one in terms of attributes/talents/general character building complexity. Streamlined AP make me sad.
It's being said by many, many people. Critics and players both seem to agree on this one.
>restarted 10ish times
>11th one is an aerothurge hydro caster
>thinking fuck it sink or swim time i WILL NOT restart 11th time
>now savage sortilege 53% crit chance thunderstorm fuckery
>niggas dropping left and right
Just pick something fun and try to roll with it.
Is this game only fun with friends? Playing it solo and it's not great.
I'm having the same issue. Can't decide for the life of me.
Only been playing it solo and have been having a blast for ~70 hours far and I think I'm only now starting to burn out.
>it's ANOTHER dos2 thread
yep no shilling to be seen here folks
*boops your nose*
About to start a two man playthrough on Tactician, we'll use the lone ranger perk. Is this feasible? What skills/playstyles should we focus on to have an easier time?
It's pretty fun with friends.
>it's ANOTHER *boops* post
yep no anti shilling to be seen here folks
*continues playing the GOTY*
...
dont go hydro unless you want to be a healer bitch. It might be okay damage wise early game but later on you are pretty much forced to mostly use buffs and heals.
Makes for interesting moments if you are both okay with doing things separately (mostly stuff in towns). But can get irritating if someone is a savescumming faglord who wants to see what every option does or pass every persuasion check.
>Take Sup Forums's advice to roll pure magic and physical damage, and make a power ranger squad of all the elements.
>Do fine and S T E A M R O L L my way out of Fort Joy
>Three seconds after stepping outside of the Fort meet a being with 31 Physical Armor and 200~ health and magic armor
Fuq. And it's a story-important enemy too.
doing my "perfect" playthrough is going to be a pain.
Pretty much this. Had to redo most of act 4 because Lohse's demon quest bugged out. And it's not just an unique case, a lot of people have reported the same problem where the final dialogue doesn't appear.
Also my biggest gripe with the game is how stupid the item system is. Merchants have way too good loot on them and quests need to give better rewards. Crafting is also a joke. As far as I know there's only one crafting recipe that gives a good item, and that's the armor of eternals.
Probably the best RPG I've played since Demon's Souls.
All games are fun with friends, that's why those people are your friends. If you can't enjoy videogames without them then you don't enjoy videogames, you just enjoy hanging out with your friends.
how far into the game are you? i found the game pretty damn hard in fort joy but after that the game really opened up with variety in abilities making the game easier, eventually making it too easy
for me it is a contender for sure, maybe not a winner but definitely a contender
Aero hydro is yet to fail me on tactician chief. If something is resistant to air most of the time it can be frozen. If it's resistant to both i can be a healer bitch or a buff bitch and still do okay. Next round I'll definetly ditch it but not because it was shit.
>Not going necro/hydro so you can apply decaying then just shit heals on people you want to damage.
that and sadly you can save scum stuff like quest rewards for stat rolls too
I am enjoying it if my friends would wake the fuck up and play
J-jesus no one told me that dorfs in this game are THIS sexy
whats your party composition? I guess my problem is that I just dont have enough magic damage to make it work.
Nobody could answer the last time I asked, so I'll ask again.
How do I remove the poison I applied to my bow? Fighting undead is dampening my damage a lot.
>Played 40 hours alone
>Finally friends wanted to play co-op
>Played 13 hours straight
I love the game so much more now.
Found out that you can remove your collar at the starter fort too by speaking to a trader, after beating the arena.
>friend is buying something from merchant
>go behind merchant and steal pricy item
>quickly transfer said item into his inventory
>finishes shopping
>OY' I AV BEEN ROBBED
>YOU THERE RANDOM SEARCH
>oh you have nothing
>YOU THERE HOLD FAST
>YOU FAGGOT YOU HAVE MY SHIT
>OFF TO JAIL YOU GO
>my friends face
MC the pure mage, everyone else is phys with beast two handing, prince sword&board, ifan pure ranger.
Right click on an item and choose rune manage
If its from a rune, take the rune out. If its not? I dont know combine your bow with some water
can I lez it up with the female origin NPCs?
>Being friends with a cute meido
I'm jelly.
yes
Fucking game made me play for almost 10 hours a day when i have free time
Very few game does that to me these days
Does limb eating always give random skills? I'm reloading and it's giving me different shit every time. It sucks that at first it actually gave a skill I wanted, except for another character. So now I'm reloading like an idiot.
>Go in with friends
>One guy takes barter, we all load up the shit we want to sell into a bag and give it to him, he gives us the gold
>One guy takes lucky find and we just let him handle all the looting
>moralfag in our group keeps losing his shit every time someone eats a soul or steals something.
>Keep casting heal on our skele and pretending it was an accient every time I have a spare rez scroll to burn
Its a good time
so if I wanna make a more villainous MC, are there any npcs that would go down this road with me or is it "XYZ DISAPPROVES -20" everytime I choose to shake up a soul in need for their money instead of helping them for free? What I'm asking maybe, is there someone with a personality that makes sense for them to follow me arround if I'm kind of a dick?
I was disappointed that wearing the broken collar did not fool the magisters into thinking you still had yours on.
But as far as crpgs go I might actually take the time to finish this one.
its been pretty rare to get a skill from my experience
No, usually it's a little self healing and some vision the elf has.
No, he meant Act 1 where almost all the side quests are broken/don't complete.
it's not from a rune. You can combine poison bottles with weapons to apply a poison
Tried that already, didn't do shit
Damn son now that you mention it it's kinda true. They did complete but the journal registered it wrong or some such shit. Probably fixed now tho.
try applying an elemental essence to the weapon. At least in the first game as soon as you enhanced a weapon you couldn't remove it but you could change the element.
WHY THE FUCK DOES THE KRAKEN RESURRECT. Fucking bullshit...i have to kill rex the lucian, the bitch and then LOL kraken comes back and spawns first turn
>stop discussing a new game on Sup Forums!!!!
>Sup Forums is only for shitposting, waifus, shitposting, and the rare game that I like, anything else is shilling!
aren't shields OP as fuck? seems like they give a TON of armor and an equally strong heal skill. Also only 1 point in warfare gives shieldtoss that hits like a truck without any STR investment
Except hydro is fucking amazing? Honestly fire to me is the most subpar of the four elements in this game.
Hydro has great damage, great cc, amazing combo potential with other stuff, and amazing support.
on its own im torn but like you said just putting one point in warfare gives you the shieldtoss that scales with shield so its a great way for casters to deal physical damage and it also gives you access to two knockdowns
i end up using these skills more than actual spells on my casters which seems kinda ridiculous
Would you rather have a Hydro/Geo or Hydro/Aero in your co-op party?
I'm kind of hesitant to roll full support Hydro/Geo.
I say its worth it even without the warfare point as a caster. Seeing that the other options are kinda dogshit.
How is three or four players run? I have been playing with a friend and its pretty hetic already love it for it though since anything can happen
Aero is a useless spell tree. All it has going for it is a shitty teleport that you can't even cast for yourself and nether swap which only works when it wants to
Grab a rogue or huntsman with cloak and dagger or tactical retreat and you will have someone that brings everything to the party that aero does
The shield toss is the only good thing about that build though. Also you want to max warfare on any character that deals physical damage. The damage is calculated like this :
weapondamage x (1+0.05(mainstat+weaponskill)) x (1+0.05(warfare))
The only character I'd give a shield would be a caster with a wand but at some point staves become much better. Consider giving some strength points for your casters if you need more physical armor on them. At most you need 14 str points to wear high level plate gear.
you mean for shield up? if so yeah i agree, but it was also necessary to survive early on, at least for me. but later on putting some extra points here and there isnt a big deal especially considering theres a cap for abilities
You don't. The crafting is super shallow this time around, and practically worthless outside of making runes/potions.
Wand + Shield seems like one of the better routes you can go if you're playing a support heavy role that doesn't want or need a heavy INT investment like Hydro or Summoner.
Focus CON stat, never die, still do decent damage.
>Aero
>useless
niggawat
Don't worry, even if you had waited until Original Sin 3 was out you'd still have played a shitty and rushed last 1/3 of the game
>the mirror of respecs ruins the RPG experience of this game
y/n
but teleport is amazing for crowd control on melees
t. man who hasn't even gotta on the fucking boat yet.
I have a question for everyone playing the game right now?
The first game was without a doubt better when playing co-op with a friend. Partly because the co-op experience was just so well done, everything worked seamlessly and smooth. But also because the companions were so boring it helped to have a friend along for the ride.
But I'm seeing that the second game has more fleshed out companions.
So I want to ask, is this one better played co-op as well or will you miss out on interesting character stories by playing co-op?
You were meant to talk to the Lizard Girl servant walking around the Graveyard
The only decent character in the game is beast so you wont miss much
Would enjoy this way more if NPCs couldn't realize they have been robbed and or would only care if their stuff was stolen.
Stealing already requires stat investment and has enough limitations to it, why add the fact I now have to avoid npcs or risk a fight because they saw that minor healing potion I stole from a random npc
>no idea what to play
>keep doing the boat with different class combos
help
i am on the same boat
The lack of a class system, the fact that every Tom, Dick, and Harry knows magicm and that all skills are learned form books you buy from Grenda the Fishmonger are what ruin the RPG experience
Larian are good at some things, but crafting a believable and interesting RPG setting is not one of them
>Playing co-op with friend.
>He's constantly busy
>Bitches if I play ahead in single player
>Sucks at character builds
>Constantly spams AOEs without regard for who's standing in them
>Kills NPCs "Just to see if he can"
>use mirror
>character has shitstain on his face for the rest of the playthrough
I'm fine with this, it's the mark of the loser which he cannot hide. If I see screenshots with shitstained faces, I disregard that user's opinion entirely
Best to play co-op, then take along Beast and Ifan. Or play Ifan. Don't fall for Fane, he's an epik quirky meme character. You might want to bring a girl along, too if you know what I mean.
>Nothing good comes out for PC for a while aside from War of the Chosen
>This finally comes out
>One of my fucking laptop fans breaks
i dont like respecs so i havent used it
the game has a lot of issues, but the mirror isnt much of a problem
You can respec your chars later with the mirror on your ship
Jesus man
Read - Aero shits out damage, has amazing cc support when paired with hydro/pre-existing water (which is true of like every element though), has great utility.
I am convinced skeletons are the best race in the game.
>immune to deathfog
>poison heals
>face-ripper
>lockpicking with bone bits
>blood succ
I recall one of the problems with Aero magic was all lightning-based magic tended to electrify blood puddles, which ended up zapping your own silly asses a fair chunk of the time.
Where do you get the fourth Teleporter Pyramid? Please don't say Nameless Isle. I'm too far in Arx to reload.
