Morrowind > Daggerfall > Oblivion > Skyrim > Arena
Swap Skyrim with Oblivion and you're correct.
Oblivion=Daggerfall>Skyrim>Morrowind>Arena
Daggerfall > Morrowind = Oblivion = Skyrim > Arena
Only the underage posters will disagree.
Still waiting for a true sequel.
Enjoyed Morrowind,Oblivion, and Skyrim.
Tried Daggerfall and it took all of 20 min to nope the fuck out of this game.
It may have been acceptable at launch but nowadays not so much.
It fucking sucks.
Daggerfall starts off seeming like its a fun but dated game, but as I played more I found that it had a charm to it I haven't seen in any other RPG, let alone Elder Scrolls game. I really don't know how to describe it.
Daggerfall > Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion
That's notElder Scrolls Online
wew lad
this but unironically
Once you figure out that going to any province except for Daggerfall, Wayrest or Sentinel is worthless, the game sorta falls apart.
Did you manage to get out of the first dungeon? It's a drag, but once you get out, the game is really quite an interesting play.
>going to any province except Daggerfall, Wayrest, or Sentinel is pointless
Not if you're trying to get a certain vampire clan. Other than that, though, you are right.
I still can't help but love the game. I could probably sperg for hours about why I love it so much.
Witcher 1
>literally an unplayable piece of shit
>best
?
I like the smaller settlements in Daggerfall, like Menevia
If you weren't aware, there's a Unity port in the works.

They had an update like 2 days ago which added a bunch of shit. I'm really excited for it because I know once it's feature complete I'll sink hundreds of hours into it.
>unplayable
You didn't get out of Privateer's Hold, did you?
>You didn't get out of Privateer's Hold, did you?
I did, the game was still a buggy piece of shit.
the daggerfall unity port has already fixed every bug the original game had, so maybe give that a try when it's done. It's probably already more playable than the original by your definition, despite missing most of the gameplay part of the game
Not the entirety of SMT, just Persona
Arena is pretty awful
Arena is great because of how much you can break the game. You can pretty much be immortal by the halfway point.
don't certain regions have different holidays? Also different knight orders.
What killed sierra? They made hit after hit when I was in high school
It was much more than the combat.
There was little I found enjoyable to the point it was a lost cause.
I have enjoyed every Bethesda game despite their flaws but Daggerfall was a bridge too far.
ITT: tips fedora really hard.
That is not a good thing.
sure
if you have autism
It's something missing from modern RPGs. Gaming the system by actually planning your build. The dungeon design was punishing and encouraged you to break the game in that way.
The only important holidays (daedra summoning dates) are universal and knightly orders are literally ALL the same in terms of quests, ranks, benefits, and services. There's no point to joining a knightly order in a region you aren't already spending a lot of time in. Considering how much is reused between the temples and knightly orders, Daggerfall is rather lacking in faction content compared to Morrowind.
That said, the temples are a good enough reason to choose a different region, since even though the differences are small there at least some reasons you might prefer one temple over another. For example, The Temple of Kynareth is the only way to gain access to the spellmaker outside of the Mages Guild, albeit requiring a much higher rank. Each region has one temple as their main religion which will be found in the majority of the cities.
That a whorehouse?
Blasphemy.
Eh, Daggerfall's definitely top 3 but there's only one BEST game of this franchise.
this game is literally impossible to get running on windows 10
It runs quite well in a VM loaded up with Windows XP. Theoretically Windows 9X would be better but I haven't found good virtualization software that supports hardware acceleration for it.
And the DOSBox+nGlide version available on GOG is playable. The framerate isn't great with that method, but at least you can get it running with no extra setup required.
