For some reason, old educational courses all hopped on the Second Life trend at one point and then Universities and educational institutions started buying all sorts of land for virtual campuses and whatnot, as anyone who looks for 2 seconds now can tell SL is mostly a sex simulator and otherwise a standing around doing nothing simulator, but since education is shit the old SL craze stuff still surfaces now and then.

I mean, virtual classes could be a nice thing for online schooling. It'd basically be the same except not in person, but with avatars.
If professors can write on a virtual board the same as they would in class, it would be just as good as real teaching, provided that the students have mics and stuff as well. I think it's not too bad that they are exploring this,m although a totally new program for learning would probably be better than Second Life. Gotta stop somewhere though, I guess.
