So I just picked this up on the switch and I gotta say this is one of the better platformers I've played in a while

Rayman / platforman thread.

I got it for 9 bucks on PSN. I missed Guacamelee for 2 bucks, should've read the description more clearly I thought it was a wallpaper or something and now that's back to 14 USD.

Rahman is pretty great tho. I would've paid full price for it had I known it came out on PS4. For some reason I thought it was exclusive to Wii U/Switch.

These autoscroller levels are way more stressful than Origins, that's for sure

>Any Musical level

>Get the game on pc
>have a blast the whole time

>Get it on vita to replay
>Murphy levels
I see why people say Origins is better now.

Does the Switch version allow you to control Murphy via the touch screen like the Wii U and Vita versions did? Or are you stuck with using the stick?

This is what I want to know
They shouldn't call it definitive unless it has both

>Murphy levels
Are those the ones with that little green guy?

I think they're kinda cute, but I can see them getting annoying in the future.

In regular levels? No

But there is this thing which only works in handheld mode, but I haven't tried it yet.

Seems like an odd mobile game desu

Yeah. They were fine on pc because you still control your character so you could go through at your own pace for the most part but being forced to use the touchscreen is pretty boring.

You could play it 2 player on the Wii U, with one player controlling murphy and the other controlling rayman

It was incredible. Asymmetric gameplay was the main drawing point of the Wii U that basically no one took advantage of, not even Nintendo

Are there any platformers that do what this level of Rayman did, possibly with a bit more mechanical depth?

This is the definition of anti-fun

No it's not, it was a nice challenge.

So wait does the "Delux" version just add the murphy levels from the WiiU version but have the normal versons of the levels otherwise?

Thats pretty shit if true desu

You're pretty shit

Reminder that the WiiU was so bad that a game made for it was better on different consoles.

I was afraid the Murphy levels would be a pain by the gameplay footage of the different Rayman Legends platforms, but having it be a button press rather than a touchscreen function kept the pacing up quite well.

fuck off nigger, I actually would like to know if this game is worth getting again for the switch or not when I already have the PC version.

>I already have the PC version.

I'd say not needing to use uPlay is a pretty good reason, but otherwise there's almost no extras to speak of. I don't even know why it's called the "definitive" edition.

>having it be a button press rather than a touchscreen function kept the pacing up quite well.
It also completely destroyed the game
Just because you don't like touch mechanics doesn't make them shit. You're also ignoring the opportunity for multiplayer that it opened up

Thats a shame, I also heard this version has worse loading times compared to the PC.

Does Rayman 1 get better after the level subsequent to the first boss?

I fucking hated flying with those insects.

The soccer mini game is pure dumb fun with a few friends. Ubisoft was super generous for putting that in the demo.

Best playable girl

>buying a 4 year old game on the Switch
You're the literal shitcock feeding the cancerous game industry

>It also completely destroyed the game
How so?
>You're also ignoring the opportunity for multiplayer that it opened up
You mean the opportunity to involuntarily screw over other players every few seconds?

>Rayman Legends for the Switch
Why the fuck did you get the infamously worst version?

I'm a huge platfomerfag, but I can't stand the way this game plays. Also whoever came up with murphy levels are fucking braindead. At least the non touch screen versions aren't as bad.

I wish there was a more efficient offline way to collect lums for non Wii U players. Also, better costumes for the non-Princess characters.

>supposedly "deluxe" version
>none of the cool extra costumes or new levels based off the new assets they made for Rayman Adventures
>literally just some dumb shit involving gimmick football

I hate Ubisoft

There's a new world called Murfy's Touch where it's all those stages with the original touch control scheme put back in. Can only play it alone undocked though. They COULD have system linked like they did with Vita, but they didn't because Ubisoft.

The loading times can be pretty bad because Ubisoft compressed the ever loving shit out of the game so it'd fit on a 8 GB card (it might be even less than that actually). All the loading is the Switch having to unpack everything.

so when are we getting a new Rayman

like, actually new

>You shouldn't pay for old games, even if you've never played them before

Sure thing pal, you sure opened my eyes. I'll run right out and grab me the new Assassin's Creed right away.

When we get Rayman 4
So never.

>music levels

You mean Estelia?
