>tfw merc assassins ambushing me with these things

pssh nothin personnel kid

Man, i fucking love NV, but the weapons there are so OP...
Especially with all the DLCs, of you play the GOTY edition, you can basically reach the wnd of the game just with your starting inventory

psshht...nothing personnel, kid

New vegas guns are so lowpoly, along with less than average gunplay it made shooting absolutely unenjoyable. I know it's console limitations but still. Nee vegas type of game with f4 gunplay is my dream

gee, an almost 10 years old game has low poly guns

>Not using graphics mods

2010 is 7 years ago
just cause 2 came out the same year

An M-16 with wooden furniture.

Pick one:

A) The plastic furniture rotted away, so they made new stocks & grips out of wood.

B) The wooden kit was original equipment in this timeline because fucking plastic guns are toys for kids.

Extra credit: M-16s on the wast coast, FN-FALs on the east coast. Why?

which is ALMOST 10 years ago

and let be honest, NV is literally Fallout 3, graphic wise

Using graphics mods, when everything's *supposed* to look like shit because everything actually did went to shit.

you get that rifle in Utah tho

Still could have had animations that are not complete shit and different models for world and first person perspective if high poly is too hard on ram. Ut2k3 is a good example. Guns not feeling and sounding like shit is something that could totally be fixed. Shut up if you dont know what you're talking about retard

no shit user, next thing you're going to tell me is that it's the same engine they've been using and continue to use for the last 2500 years

You know you don't have to use any of that bullshit, right? There's a dumpster right out side the Goodsprings store you can toss it all into.

The binoculars, and the "get out of hardcore mode free" canteen are especially broken.

look, despite how much i love NV, i agree that the gunplay is probably the weakest part in the game, but comparing it to literal arena shooter is retarded

I choose B. Also it wasn't a FAL in Fallout 3, it was a G3.

You know you just find binoculars 5 minutes later in Primm, right?

The rest I agree with though. I always dump all that shit.

>Getting rid of the canteen
madman

That particular gun a pre-nuclear example. Wooden handguards fit the Fallout aesthetic better than plastic.

The normal service rifles are actually manufactured in the postwar NCR.

B but it's because of the scarcity of oil prewar so they used wood instead of plastic.

It's both, the gun always had wood furniture but the foregrip was replaced at some point.

How are binoculars broken? I never found a good use for them since they don't zoom in enough.

you mean the handguard

I really wish this thing was just a P90 instead of some weird looking fantasy gun.

They can be handy with a mod that allows you to zoom in with scopes.

P90 doesn't fit Fallout aesthetic. Yes, I know it's in 2, where it takes 9mm and 10mm for some reason.

It looks like a gun from 40k or something desu

Got done white Honest Hearts. played with no guns and these piece of shit guns are every where.

>P90 doesn't fit Fallout aesthetic
pffftttt

In-universe the P90 was created by H&K instead of FN. 10mm is also the in-universe common alternative to 9mm (which is decidedly rare).

So it's a 10mm H&K P90.

But sometimes they're loaded with 9mm. It's a bug or something, but it happens.

Wiki says it only happens with V15 raiders, though.

I haven't played Fallout 2 unpatched since the unofficial patch & restoration patch existed so I couldn't even remember that.

I know in Fallout Tactics the devs of that game (Micro Forte? some Australian dev team) made the P90 a 9mm FN P90, which is confusing. I can only assume they just didn't care for the weapon manufacturer switchup that was present with a few weapons or assumed it was a mistake and corrected it.

Guns with wooden furniture just look more Fallout.

>when everything's *supposed* to look like shit

It's been 200 years, shit is being rebuilt for fucks sake, calm down Todd Howard

>P90 doesn't fit Fallout aesthetic.
>it's in 2

WEW
E
W

Well I guess ghosts fit Fallout too, then!

>Comparing something silly to an actual gun in the game's universe

Yeah, because Mothership Zeta and the Tardis were really lore friendly too

0/10 bait

>in case you really are a retard, in fallout II you help a ghost of a murdered girl in the den. you also help sulik's tribe's shaman excorcise a ghost.

>Mothership Zeta
I don't care about Bethesda's games, sorry.
>Tardis
Explicitly a random encounter, unlike Anna's quest, which happens inside an otherwise normal location.

Who are you quoting?

How the fuck does this gun even work? That magazine looks like it's impossible to pull out, there's a metal bar in the way. Do you pull the entire bar off every time you reload or something?

The magazine is the darker colored bar on top. Sort of P90 style, I guess. Yes, the rear sight is attached to the magazine.

East coast is fantasy.

Wood is good.

...

Muh dick

>tfw always saving up 12.7
>never use it

...

Why was this thing so fukken hueg. I would have loved it if it weren't for the fact that it takes up a good 1/4 or even 1/3 of the screen.

I assume that everyone like me autistically saves up on rare ammo for top tier weapons. and like everyone else i never use it.
I want to believe i will one day, but i never do.

>rare ammo
Learn to reload.

reload the cell? for loot manipulation?

no, reload spent casings

oh i never did, in vanilla anyway. Just seemed like a waste of time since the less powerfull ammo is forced down your throat at terminal velocity

Is there actually a mod that reduces the overall amount of ammo in the game? Not to the point where I've only got 3 shots for a rifle for most of the game, but where you have a decent amount.

I like miniguns, so I used reloading a lot. Gotta work to have thousands of 5mm JHP.

Probably, been years user, check nexus

it's a video game and it's not real ya ding-dong diddly dork
