I got a Wooly Green Yoshi. That's all I ever wanted. Figurines are gay, Plushies are adorable.

I bought a few, then discovered tagmo and ntags. Haven't looked back.

I got slightly addicted, but stopped at 13. Outside of Smash, I was more interested in specific characters over their game functionality. I stopped buying them because of scalpers.

I have every smash bros character, all splatoon amiibos and a couple of extras like the Pikmin statue, Metroid and Alm and Celica.

i bought like 5 and then stopped, because what is the point on getting them? The least I can do is host a cockfight and get all amiibos well trained just so people can bet on who gets into the match or have them bring theirs

I have Wolf Link because it came with TP HD, and Yarn Yoshi because it came with Wooly World. I don't give a shit about the wolf in BotW and playing with a clone Yoshi isn't fun and makes the game worse.

Over 20ish physical ones and several AC card packs, along with like 18 Chinese bootlegs for BotW, cause fuck paying like $200 to have access to all the content.

Now I'm at an impasse on continuing or not, since I've nabbed physical ones for a mixture of having merch for series I'd never get ala FE & Metroid, as well as the perks granted within the games was a deciding factor. Yet now Nintendo has the Metroid 2-pack that locks content out of the game and not even as DLC option for when the amiibo are out of print, and I found out FE Warriors doesn't even support all the amiibo due to characters not even being in the game like Roy / Ike / Alm, short of paying like $20 for DLC pass and getting lucky. Though I'm clearly more than welcomed to buy the new Tiki & Chrom amiibos for like $28 with tax and all.

I need to just invest into an NFC device and get the mats to make my own if Nintendo is planning to be even nastier with shady practices in their games.

I bought Pikachu and Samus when that first came out for Smash because I play those two the most and now I have 15 of them and I'm lurking Ebay everyday trying to get a good price for the TP,MM and SS Link amiibos

I recently bought the Metroid Samus Returns amiibo since I'm a sucker for the franchise and any merch with it.

But all amiibos basically are delated to NFC tags bought off amazon and had amiibo bin files assigned to them using Thenaya.

I got two. The kikes keep deciding to add all of the new ones I want into 2/3 packs, so fuck them.

Is there a way to play games like skylanders/didney infinite and hack all the nfc shit so you don't need to pay a gorillian dollars?

I like them for what they are. If you like collecting and Nintendo characters this is probably the only way to get a figure of specific characters that would have probably never seen the light of day.

That said, I do believe they are expensive (especially in Canada) and it's becoming quite a pain to actually purchase new ones.

It annoys me that they upped the amiibo price from $12 to $16 without improving the quality at all.
