It depends, I'm not American so english with anime art will aways sound out of place fo me, since it's "localized" to your culture after all. But I understand that is natural for someone from the region a game is being localized, for example. But I'll always prefer Japanese, the native language is always the better option for me, just like I always prefered watching American movies/shows in english with subs before learning the language.

I want to watch an anime dubbed by Australians, though.

Every fan-translated game was untranslated at certain point, most of them for years, many for decades even. Maybe you are saying that maybe because you got what you wanted already. I'm still waiting for translations of games I want to play to be completed, like Dragon Quest Monsters 2 for 3Ds and Puyo Puyo Chronicles.
