HEAR YE, HEAR YE! QUEEN JUSTINIA EXECUTES TWO DOZEN NOBLEMEN FOR INSUBORDINATION!
HEAR YE, HEAR YE! QUEEN JUSTINIA EXECUTES TWO DOZEN NOBLEMEN FOR INSUBORDINATION!
is this game fun
should i play number 1 first
it's alright if you are okay with most of the action just being described as a text instead of actually happening
What game is this?
Not true, and all text is narrated ... the battle sequences are very well scripted and action packed
Just remember that everyone is a self-absorbed dick with 30 hidden agendas, you have no friends and the good guys are all lying.
>bone widow
>need only 2 necromancy
>cost 3 AP
>last for 5 turn
>come with self buff and teleport
What a fucking turd
3AP are a lot unless you're running lone wolf characters.
DOS2 is literally a JRPG made by Belgian
A game is about the players taking action by themselves.
A text is a text no matter if somebody reads it for you or not.
Also
>fucking hueg HP with atk make 2h fighter look like fucking beta
MANY CHEESES
name of game?
Dragon Age Inquisition.
So Sup Forums seems to be enjoying this game at the moment.
My question is, how long until Sup Forums unanimously agrees that this is the worst game of all time?
No it isn't. JRPGs wish they had tactical turn-based gameplay this good.
yes
not necessarily
Call of Duty WWII
Divinity II
Now that i think about it, can you maintain two summons at the same time on one character?
I mean story
No, because of Soul Bond.
The one exception to the rule are totems.
Join the Spud Club if you've got an eye for fine potatoes!
is it good?
But it isn't? The story in DOS2 is pretty much the same with all Divinity games and Larian has been making these since the 90s. They're just glorified D&D campaigns.
Quick Sup Forums, which magic school is the best for ranged character? Also bows or crossbows?
1-2 months before people start taking the contrarian opinion.
6 months before the Gothic autists stop humping the Witcher 3's corpse and start spamming memes about how much better Gothic is than Divinity
12 months before the majority of Sup Forums Divinity posts are about how it is a trash series
Reds and oranges yellows and green, the finest veggies Cyseal's ever seen
>Lucian is dead again
Isn't we just rescue that guy from his son sex dungeon in Divinity 2?
That's what i thought, now i wonder if i will just scrap my incarnate if bone widow will end up being strong.
It's good but you don't have to fear about "reroll when you are lvl 5 because you have a shit party"
But it's really a good game.
>>Lucian is dead again
He actually isnt. Finish the game.
>Dad! You kill my gf you make me a beta virgin! Now watch me slaughter your people with my POWAHHHH !!!!!!!!!!
maybe geomancer since you can lock people in place or just pick something with a lot of mobility like polymorph -> spread wings
Lucian is a literally cuck
Polymorph gives you wings, good to reach high ground.
Aero get's you swap, teleport and a few other things. Its ok.
Geo gives you Fortifies and oil surface. Oil slow down melee a shitton, and unnafected by armour. Good shit
Pyro gives you clear mind for a good stats boost, and haste for a few extra AP/movement. It works.
Water give you heals.
So is 10 summoning worth it? Does incarnate really gets that strong or is it just some worthless buff?
10 Summon turns your incarnate into a big guy, so yes
There were plenty of shiposters since the very beginning. Like that autist who was upset that he was allowed to respec his character and posted a page long post about it in every thread.
well fuck. Judging from the screenshots I thought the gameplay would be similar to Dragon Age; Origins. Interest lost.
No, he's referring to the narration.
The combat is turn based with free movement and geo effect gimmicks i.e. if you splash oil on the ground, you can cast a fire ball to ignite it and burn enemies standing in the oil puddle.
By the way does that dragon knight from act 1 ever repay his favour ?
The aero+ geo looks kinda neat on paper to huntsman, i already have tactical retreat on huntsman, so i could pass on wings, plus aero gives some more mobility, add geo to shit on melees as you guys said.
I think it looks fun.
>raising another man child
>he grows up and fuck you in the ass
Brilliant Larian
Where can i get patches for pirated gog version?
He clears all of the shriekers when you try to get close to alexandar fight, plus encourages you for 50 turns.
The final plot twist was fucking retarded
>haha jk I survived
>and here's our old pal Braccus too
>btw we're the good guys, please apply for the only good ending where we make you our bitch
>become divine
>world is thoroughly raped
>share the power
>haha everyone's at war because, if you haven't got the memo, everyone's an asshole on a genetic level
I am motivated to do a genocide playthrough at this point
Yes, he swoops in and kills the shriekers
At least you didn't end up locked for eternity into a sex dungeon like a certain dragon knight.
If you thought that was bad, the ending where Lohse's demon pal intervenes and has you kill everyone, including your own character, is more fucked up
...
epic post my fellow redditor! we all know Sup Forums is just one person and they hate videogames.
I'd pick Fane sucking it to the God King over any of the bullshit in the generic endings and their implications. Does the Lohse's demon become the divine?
how does this game compare to, say, UNDERRAIL
Damian had the best idea of simply drowning everyone in death fog and call it a day.
>conversation looks like it's heading towards violence
>before ending the actual conversation, have your band of misfits cast bone widow
>you now have 3 bone widows right in the enemy's face and a full turn to act
It's very, very pretty compared to underrail. It's fucking divine compared to underrail. It's hard for me to find words to describe how horrifyingly bad underrail's visuals are.
>Divinity II
??
You both share divinity, but it sends the whole world into chaos as demons swarm into the world and Malady becomes hunted
I think it's generally considered the bad ending considering how shit goes down
Wait, doesn't he die when you kill him in his spooky clinic ? Or does this happen only if you ignore that plotline ?
Huh, so apparently the endings are based on the companions you have? What if I created 4 player avatars, does anything special happen?
do not bully the underrail
hows it compare in terms of gameplay though?
WOT DO THEY CALL 'ER, THE AXE?
It's a secret ending if you ignore treating Lohse's possession. Demon guy becomes the true final boss.
'E 'AMMER
that shit is good
What if Lohse is not one of your companions and she dies on the ship?
kek.
Last year I played Divinity 2 for solid 5 hours before I was told that the Original Sin was the latest game in the franchise.
>people still use "ye" unironically as a replacement for "you" while it actually meant "the"
Great thread, OP. Keep it up. You're doing a wonderful job at being a Hurensohn.
That said, you are given two options
1. You can resist him, but the demon kills Lohse, and you can still pick the generic become divnity or give away source options once you beat him
2. You can join him, and now you play as Lohse and you team up with the demon to kill your MC and party members, and getting the bad ending
I can't compare, I stopped playing Underrail very early. The combat in D:OS2 is great. In, say, Fallout 1/2, you more or less just shoot at each other until one of you loses your health bar. Here there is a very large number of ways to fuck up, and you have to do your turns with great care. At least that was my impression on Classic on first playthrough. Doing second playthrough MP, classic also, and somehow fights feel like a breeze.
>And then there were you, [RACE], doing your [RACE] things in your [RACE] kingdom
>Did you lead [RACE] to prosperity or ruin? Only you will know. But rest assured, you will be forever remembered among your [RACE] people
I wish I was exaggerating
Amazing.
>Doing second playthrough MP, classic also, and somehow fights feel like a breeze.
Let me guess, lone wolf?
The epilogue doesn't really matter since Damian and the black ring will fuck up everyone else anyways in due time.
bravo
>second playthrough
>classic
Raise the difficulty you pussy.
No. 4 characters, two players, and I insisted on no summoning.
Build question. I'm running a STR-based Poly/Necro/Warfare build and was wondering whether its better to go for a two-handed weapon or dual-wield. Was using two-handers for all of the island and it served me well. But I just got to the boat and a chance to respec to dual-wielding now that I have a decent number of talent points and good one-handed weapons is tempting.
>Dungeon is full of level appropriate fights
>Dungeon boss is unrestrained, autistic nonsense
Every. Single. Dungeon.
Holy shit how does this game just fucking fall apart the second Act 2 starts?
Mordum, Aeterna, Ryker; every fucking fight is at least one mandatory re-load because the devs fucking think "uh uh uh, I bet you weren't clever enough to think she was going to summon 3 dogs, stun every party member in a single action, and then spam CC"
Enhanced Edition when, this is just awful
The person I'm playing with is playing for the first time. I can't do this to him.
I actually didn't even finish my first, still roaming in Arx.
You should bring that issue up with Larian because that's exactly what it says in the game. I would know, I had to listen to it over a hundred times.
Two-handed > one-hand + shield > Dual wield
This also counts for mage classes.
Not him but I'm on tactician and once I got to act 2 the game got real easy. I'm level 16 now and did the black pits and the decay void woken and shit and it's all been very easy. I hope it gets hard again soon. I haven't had to save scum an engagement in so long.
just like every other AP based combat system, it's all about finding the most OP combination and spamming the fuck out of it. nothing special.
My follower stopped moving what to do?
The weapon in your left hand actually hits for much less, for 50% of damage or so. Try, respecing is free, but I decided to stay on two-handed.
>summon artillery plant
>it's actually strong as fuck even with no summoning because of the spore spam alone
Nah, shield is better for mage unless you for some reason don't have enough spells to cast. Shield is 50% of your armor.
I wish I could dual wield shields as a mage.
So its a squad based game
can you be a 1 man band?
Is this game still good if I'm going solo?
>two-handed
>counts for mage classes.
Why so you can melee someone with your fucking staff?
Use double wants or wand + shield
I killed modem and ryker without a reload. On aeterna is total bull shit that I just retreat skipped. I didn't bother going back to finish her.
It's a commentary on how you should never adopt
Some staffs have some ridiculous stat gains, then again, if all you want is burst damage you would pick a ranger anyway.
Same. Or if there was 2 hand giant shields.
Click his portrait and drag him next to the others. He probably got seperated.
Easy enough, just make sure you don't get CC to suicide.
