Loving it, waiting for Odyssey. Going to get Picross, need to know more about Golf Story and if it’s any good first. Still need to get Mario Rabbids as well.

So far the previews and reviews hail it as Mario Golf meets Earthbound which sounds real cool

Hardware is alright, library density is ehh, but the games I have bought I've loved so far. Saving my shekels for SMO, DOOM, XC2, and maybe the new Atelier game to close out the year.

So far for next year I can't wait to sink my teeth into Kirby, TSA, Fire Emblem, and if god loves me Metroid Prime 4.

I also really hope Rainway makes it.

I kind of regret buying my switch. I only got it for breath of the wild, which is admittedly a great game.

The thing is I just don't care about using it as a portable system, I'm only going to use it with a TV. So it's basically a console that cost more than my PS4, but has worse performance, and games are more expensive cus cartridges.

I wish there was a cheaper switch that had no screen and came with a pro controller instead of the joycons for people who just want to use it as a console, not a handheld.

I hear the joycons are great. And I love the idea of having your hands separate from each other when playing a game. Is there something wrong with them?

I'll get the Mighty Gunvolt Burst DLC. Maybe that Pankapu game, looks like artsy indieshit but I have low standards for platformers.

Okay so I turned my switch on, but the screen is completly blank. You can see that its on but there's no image, when I try to restart or shut it down it wont do so ..

The pro controller is better if you're using it at home. The joycons have really small buttons and the sticks don't have much movement range either, so harder to be accurate with them. Even with the slide adapter thing I prefer the pro controller.

Just for the first party games really. I would never buy a third party game like Doom on the switch if it was available on other platforms for less money and ran better.

It happened to me too. You have to hit the screen with the corner of the table. ONE strong hit, no more or you could break it.

Honestly, Spla2n and Mk8 aren't very fun at all. I've had more fun with the Octo demo and Steamworld Dig 2 than I have with Mk8 and Spla2n. Feelsbad.

Love my switch. Play a ton of ARMS and Mario+Rabbids. Just want SMT and Fire emblem to give more information

Love the hardware, love spla2n, BotW was kind of tedious. Looking forward to Xenoblade 2 & Octopath in the near future.

Had so much fun with mario kart8(never had or played a wii u) with my gf she got herself the splatoon 2 switch and a copy of it for mine and haven't had this much fun playing video games in a long time. I forgot how magical couch co-op is.

If you'd fallen for the Wii U meme, you'd already know those two games are bargain bin tier for autists.

Tbh not sure why everyone complains about the library. I know it doesn't appeal to everyone, but you'd have to be retarded to think it's barren. I'd go as far to say it's one of the strongest launches desu, I have seven games after about six months, and there's like three or four more I'm looking at this year. That's pretty much unheard of with me, normally when I buy a console it goes mostly unused for a year or two.

It does, it's just a hassle to get working and requires a program that tricks your computer into thinking it's a 360 controller.

Yeah to this day I have like four ps4 games. But this year I'll have MK8, MARIO XCOM, MARIO, ZELDA, ARMS, BATTLE CHASERS AND Xenoblade

Splatoon 2 (250 hours) and Mario Kart 8 (50 hours) with friends has already made the purchase worth it for me, I bought my console pre owned for cheap after a normie was done with Botw.

Keen as hell for Odyssey and Xenoblade 2, they should last until Monster Hunter World hopefully.

I recently put the atomic purple casing on my joycons, it looks great but holy shit it was tedious and annoying to put back together.

Thing is, Nintendo consoles typically don't get revisions -- handhelds do. And though the Switch can be a handheld, I'm not taking for granted that there will be a revision for it.

I'm holding out hope, but unless there's some really glaring shortcomings that can be fixed without creating software incompatibility, this system might be it. It was one thing to make a few games that could only be played on N3DS: systems in that family were all under 200 bucks. People won't be so willing to replace something they bought for 300-up with another 300-up system.

Try using it as a portable system sometime. Take it to play in your sofa or something like that. It’s surprising how you get used to having a portable, even if it’s only to play at home. I pretty never use it on the tv.

Put both games in one package and you've got yourself a deal. i ain't buying both games separately.

Does it work docked? This can narrow list of issues.

I got Botw, Fast RMX, Sonic Mania, Infinite minigolf, Phantom trigger, shovel knight pack, xenoverse 2, golf story.. and later I'll be getting Stardew valley, blade strangers, Mario odessy, maybe xb2, fire emblem warriors.. that's just the launch year

I like it, and so does my little brother. It's nice being able to bond over something that we both enjoy.
I'm excited for Odssey and I look forward to other games.

NES, SNES and Wii all got revisions, whereas N64, GC and WiiU didn't, so it's 3/3.

I can already think of a revision but nothing like the gimmicks in the past like Game Boy Color or 3DS.

They most likely gonna make a gimmick if they do one.

What revision did the NES get? Is that the Famicom and NES versions you're counting?

When does the Switch get a remodel that won't let it get scratched by the dock?

Mine collected dust for awhile, but as more and more games are coming out it's becoming my favorite current gen platform between this, my ps4, and my pc.

Been playing Steamworld Dig 2, Xenoverse 2, and slowly chipping away at Disgaea 5.
Will definitely be getting Golf Story today, which I'm really excited about. Also eyeing a few other games coming out today/tomorrow like picross, pankapu, brave dungeon, that one piece game, and that shoot'em up

I've got Odyssey and fire emblem warriors preordered, as well as Xenoblade Chronicles. Contemplating Skyrim, Doom and LA Noire.

I'm most hyped about Stardew valley though.

I hope switch maintains this momentum. I haven't been this entertained with vidya in a looong time. It's reinvigorating.

I enjoy the Switch. Bought one at launch and hated it because Zelda was the only game of any value and I didn't like it. Nowadays, there's plenty to enjoy if you're a Nintendo fan and the hybrid nature of the system really opens itself up to being played in ways you can't do on other systems.

If you want a golf game pass it. Most are the mechanics are bare bones. If you ever played Toadstool Tour or Hot Shots Golf this is a big step back. Its super light on RPG story stuff and imo its really cringy. The read text is super jarring since it clashes with the overall style of the game. Also you can see the same tilted pixels that most games use when emulating pixel games. Overall I'd pass but if you really want it go for it.
