Grand Strategy

How's your empire going?

Well?

Hello? Anyone?

These games are to hard for Sup Forums

try /vg/ /gsg/ but be prepared for liquor autism

My empire fares well. Playing as the khazar in CK2. Going toe to toe with 22k Byzantine Doom stacks and winning.

It's going great user, thanks for asking.

Feels good to see some grand strategy on Sup Forums.

Currently playing CK 2 +.

Started as a small tribal chief in Iceland in the year 769.

Managed to form the Kingdom of Nordeson by conquering Iceland and all the outer islands south of Iceland towards Pictland, it's the year 1001.

My proud raider has decided to invade Ireland and migrate there.

Having alot of fun with this one.

LA PLATA

I have no idea how to play CK2

Arumba made a solid tutorial video years ago that is now thoroughly outdated

Maybe watch that and play the base game for a bit so you comprehend it and then add the DLC bit by bit and see what it does (don't add Sunset Invasion though that one is shit, also don't add some of the music ones like Viking Metal or Orchestral House those are bad as well)

It's really not too complicated once you understand what's going on

Trying to do SPQR achievment but everytime I take like 2 counties, my threat level shoots up to 80%

Are they going to fix this crap? Why the fuck does some no name viking cunt in the frozen north see me as a threat?

Oh and to add.

Roleplaying the fuck out of this one, traits are how I act.

If my character is a craven, he can't lead armies or do single combat, etc.

It's alot more fun this way, I basically have a bloodfeud with the house whom has held Pictland for the past 300 years.

Our families have been at each-others throats for years, constant war.

Probably because the ancestors of my current character have all been crazy fucking zealots, sacrificing any Christian they come across, raiding and pillaging. Conquering.

It's good fun.

>It's really not too complicated once you understand what's going on

Neither is theoretical physics.

i learnt how to play CK2 when I was 13.

it's not that complicated, oh, and I'm 18.

the game was released early 2012.

You know what I mean, there's a barrier of entry but after that, once you understand the UI and so on, it's smooth sailing

Having to take physics classes the stuff doesn't really stop being complicated because I need to do the math all the time and having to learn new stuff doesn't stop

Playing as Bengal in EU4, trying to make loadsa money and get Bengal Tiger achievement. Pretty much just started, absorbed some smaller countries and force-vassalized few that I can feed later.
Need to get rid of Jaunpur and Orissasoon before they grow too big.
Dunno whether I should take Exploration ideas and colonise shit out of asea as well.

I stopped playing these after Paradox got too greedy

>playing Vic 2 for the first time as Japan
>doing well , conquer Korea and even grab some colonies in Malaysia
>Start implementing liberal reforms because I want my people to have nice lives
>Making mad dosh
>COMMUNIST TAKEOVER
>What.jpg
>all my industry goes to shit, bleeding money

It was fun while it lasted

I really want to learn Hearts of Iron.

But holy shit, it's fucking complicated.

I've played alot of grand strat, but this is a whole different thing.

>grand strategy
4X is a better genre.

I played EU4 as some native American group and got confused and then everybody died

I like them both

>Paradox """hisotorical""" games

they've always been

Yeah but they raised the kikery to a whole new level with EUIV

just pirate all the dlc

>tfw to stupid for grand strategy games

That's what I do

yep these games attract Sup Forumstards like shit attracts flies.

>finally no sandniggers can bully me at school

on fucking point

How assblasted do you have to be to spend over 200 hours in ms paint making images like these?

/gsg/ has elevated shitposting to an artform, don't question their devotion

start with ck2 as irish count

did you literally just respond to yourself?

>try /vg/ /gsg/

No, thanks.

My fellow peers

I have lost complete motivation to play my beloved GS games...

I have over 1100 hours in CK2 and more than 200 hours in EUIV but lately I have been met with fatigue it seems. The only games I can still play are CSGO (because of the adrenaline in winning and the competitive aspect) or a casual PUBG with friends... But I want to go back.

I want to go back to simpler times of CKII or EUIV but I just can't even bring myself to launch the games anymore.

It's been months. What do?

Just be yourself
