A parasite that reproduces asexually that can infect everything (including machines), can't beat be hurt by anything except Metroids, can phase through solid objects, gain all the knowledge of anything it infects and share it on a hive mind, and have a goal to become everything. They take control of anything they infest and get easily make hybrids of infested life forms.

Well it's an infection, and infections usually only have one specific cure. Anyway, you actually can destroy X-infected creatures with normal means, but you just won't kill them. They'll revert back to their flying goo-ball form and go away to regenerate later.

The victim requires organic components to infect but they've been seen replicating mechanical parts, unless Space Pirate laser claws are actually innately organic, which would be weird but not impossible for this batshit setting

Them having DNA from the baby is the only reason Samus got cured. If Samus got infested prior to them having that DNA, the universe would be fucked by an army of Sa-X.

The varia suit couldn't save Samus from almost getting Thing'd, Bayonetta would get hotglued to death.
