I actually enjoyed all of the Risen games after being VERY disappointed by Gothic 3.
Elex looks interesting and Gamestar gave it a good review so I guess I'm buying it.

It's an interesting concept but it just does not look good and the animations are fucking terrible.
I know it's an RPG and that's not what's supposed to matter but god damn, these guys have been making games for like twenty years now. You'd think they would have hired a 3D artist by now.

Combat in their games hasn't been good since Risen 1. Why do they insist on making the characters do these teleport-like leaps forward when attacking?

They're biased as fuck, though. They always have been when it comes to Piranha Bytes and a select few other German developers.

Why did they go full retard with this Chinese ugly aesthetic? I miss their comfy German RPGs about wandering basically-Austria and talking to the Folk. Their games had such comfy atmosphere, at least until Risen 2's pirate bullshit.

It's $20 for me due to regional pricing, i suppose i'll bite. I actually liked Risen series, except for third game.

They deliberately wanted to move away from the 'Ruhrpott'-RPG setting. Dunno why. Probably got tired of it.
