Danganronpa v3

I put up with a lot of shit in DR but 3-2 fucking pissed me off
>not explained how kirumi dropped from the high as fuck gym window that even a ladder couldn't reach without the stage + tall as fuck tank without getting hurt
>the knot in the rope which would have completely fucked up the ropeway theory is never addressed
>the fact that angie asked her to make the curtains for the magic show
>was literally put into the suspect seat by a complete lie without even a thread of truth (him hearing a sound that didnt come from up stairs)
not to even mention that the fabric piece wouldn't be cause by a rope burn and the fact that anyone could have taken her gloves, requested use of her gloves or use another article of clothing with that material

this case pissed me off something fierce.

I love Junko!

>sticking with DR after 3

You only have yourself to blame

I'm quite fond of bullying Miu.

I just finished Chapter 3 so far. I don't care about spoilers so I already knew this one's outcome. I'm liking v3 a lot so far. Plus the executions are easily the best in the series. They're also the only thing I made a dedicated effort not to spoil myself on.

>the knot in the rope which would have completely fucked up the ropeway theory is never addressed
There was no knot on the ropeway

>the fact that angie asked her to make the curtains for the magic show
Why did that piss you off?

>was literally put into the suspect seat by a complete lie without even a thread of truth
Which lie was that again?

>the fact that anyone could have taken her gloves, requested use of her gloves or use another article of clothing with that material
Pretty sure it was mentioned that the material for her gloves was unique to her only and if someone had taken her gloves she would have mentioned that earlier to draw away suspicion

>There was no knot on the ropeway
It was two ropes tied together. In half of the pictures/scenes it shows the knot in the middle. If she was going fast enough that she needed her hand to stop it, that knot would have been a huge problem for her balance. The ropeway wouldnt just roll over it flawlessly.
>Why did that piss you off?
Because obviously angie asked for the window to be covered. What is the point of that? it wasn't relevant to the show.
>Which lie was that again?
The one that I wrote in spoilers in the OP
>Pretty sure it was mentioned that the material for her gloves was unique to her only and if someone had taken her gloves she would have mentioned that earlier to draw away suspicion
It wasn't mentioned to be unique. It was just asked if they could compare it to see if it matched. Even so, a rope burn wouldn't cause a piece of the glove to tear out and fall away. It'd basically just grind a hole in the glove.

...

She used the tennis wire to pull the first rope up, she then untied it from the rope, so it was just a single piece acting as the ropeway.

V3 is just a shit seacats

S U B A R A S H I I ~ ! !

>V3 is just a shit seacats
Yes, and?

...

I just finished it and I thought I'd blog post.
Also fuckin saved

Daily reminder that Candy Slut deserved it.

Oops, didn't mean to reply to Still though. I like to think her final moments were agonizing.

I thought Angie was cute until everyone started believing her cult bullshit.

>It was two ropes tied together.
That was just the method she used to be able to tie both ends of the rope to the gym and Ryoma's lab. She tied one rope to the lab and another rope to the gym. Then she tied the two together at the pool and went back to the gym so she can pull rope 2 towards her and bring the end of rope 1 towards the gym since they were tied together. Then she untied the two ropes and tied the end of the rope that was also connected to the lab and also tied it to the gym.
tl;dr: It was one rope

>Because obviously angie asked for the window to be covered.
I thought she just asked for the rank to be covered. I don't recall ever saying she wanted the window covered

>(him hearing a sound that didnt come from up stairs)
Is this the lie where Shuichi says he heard a conversation between two people in order to protect Maki? Because that's the only lie I remember

Honestly I was expecting to see more threads for this game. What's the consensus so far? Especially on controversial shit like Chapter 1 and the ending?

People are probably still playing it and don't want to be spoiled by someone who'll post spoilers in the OP

I'm surprised too but if you are feeling really adventurous you could always hop onto our sister board, those threads have been pretty fast since release

>Honestly I was expecting to see more threads for this game.

A lot of the people who would've made those threads got directed to /drg/ like, a week ago.

Ah I see. I was expecting more since Sup Forums was flooded with Persona 5 threads when people were playing, but I suppose the two aren't really comparable (plus Persona is evidently more popular).

I'd at least expect a few more V3 waifu threads.

/vg/? I'll pass.

Guys, does it also drop frames for you at cutscenes? Its fairly annoying. The sound ends but the animation is not even done

No, maybe something is wrong with your computer. How old is it?

I just finished the game.
That ending was such a mixed bag of what the fuck. I actually sort of predicted a lot of it, but getting it confirmed to be real felt like I had fallen asleep during the trial and just dreamed about all that insane bullshit happening.
But in the end, this is Danganronpa, and if the second game and Another Episode were anything to base it on, I guess the "franchise ending" couldn't have been any less nuts than that.

Not that old for a VN. Dual core 2 duo and my graphic card is an HD 5770, 4gbs of ram. And it only happens in cutscenes.

Did you buy the game or pirate it? I mean idk what to say I've never seen people complain about that particular issue

After playing both the last Utawarerumono games, DR3 feels like mediocre low budget vn in comparison.

It pissed me off because both the victim and the killer were favourites of mine. Of course shit like miu, angie and kaito get to survive another chapter but cool people dont. Himiko is fucking useless...i dont even understand why you would include a character whose only thing is so be lazy..so lazy and stubborn that she would rather die than say the truth

Ryoma was way too real. Not all heroes wear capes

3-2 was complete shit. If the culprit was as smart and thorough as the game wants you to believe, there's no way they would've left all those incriminating pieces of evidence in the pool. There would've been ways to retrieve them.

His motive video is so real that i ain't even going to write it in the spoiler just so people who mistakenly read spoilers wouldn't get spoiled on it.
At least i can do that for him. I can't even say that i feel that justice has been made...kirumi was also a favourite of mine

Pirated. You guys spent 60 dollaroos for a VN?

Does she actually say that?

Ending aside, what did you think overall about the game?

Pretty much an improvement in nearly every way, except maybe for the female cast. There probably wasn't a single female character that I liked while a lot of the boys were fantastic.
The music was fucking great, my favorites being the Monokubs theme, Mass Panic Debate and Split Opinion.
And probably the biggest thing about the game was how shitty it made me feel sometimes. Despair has been a pretty major theme in Danganronpa for a long time but I think this game was the first one where it really felt like it, too often. I'd say Chapter 3 was the only one where I was mostly "meh" regarding all the happenings and even laughed at the execution, but everything else kinda screamed that Danganronpa tried reeeal hard to mature.
Also, the casino was a total waste of time, and the Psyche Taxi and Whatever-The-Fuck-Minecraft minigames were absolute garbage. Especially the mining one, I got A's from EVERYTHING through out the whole game, except whenever there was mining in a trial, those were always B's.

Is it worth to pirate this game for pc?

I agree with a lot of the things you said, though I quite enjoyed a few members of the female cast. I understand where you're coming from though: I feel like they also have less of a waifu appeal which won't win them many favours on Sup Forums.

I wasn't emotionally moved by it but the whole Chapter 3 reveal and execution made me laugh the hardest I had in a while, which is probably why I like Kiyo so much.

Yeah the minigames are pretty shit. Look forward to the post-game content at least.

>Yeah the minigames are pretty shit. Look forward to the post-game content at least.
Maybe next week. I've been playing the game non-stop since Steam release with only sleeping inbetween, so I think I've had my fill for a while.

I still don't get why tsumugi reveals to everyone their fictional, and then goes on about how she wants the killing games to continue.

How does revealing things as fictional help that?
Hell how does that help the audience watching danganronpa want more of the show and for it to continue. if anything audiences would percieve this whole fiction shit as stupid. No wonder the audience ingame would choose to end the show after that stunt. She helped tank her own season

Oh, and one last thing I'd like to mention that still made me smirk right before I quit the game

>game resets back to the logos
>spike chunsoft bla bla bla
>team danganronpa bla bla bla
>don't distribute this game bla bla bla
>all the characters in this work are the work of fiction

Those fucks.

I am at Ch4 and I think I figured it out.

This is literally a reality show with some random schmucks being given talents by brainwashing and thrown into Battle Royale which is streamed. Way too much emphasis on words like "script" and those Flashlights seem nonsensical plot tweests. Also Koichiki said that people are watching.

Miu is.....special.
Her dub actress deserves to be paid more.....in singles obviously.

Just finished chapter 3 and my god
>That meltdown
>That motive
>that execution+OST
What a breath of fresh air. We never get chapters with unapologetic evil characters like this. Loved pretty much everything about this chapter. I was so worried this chapter would be shit like the other chapter 3's.
So glad to be wrong

I didn't like her dub voice when I played the demo. Is she actually that lewd in Japanese?

What would sex with Chisa be like?

Japanese isn't naturally as lewd a language as english, but yeah, she's pretty blatant there too. You can imagine the reception to her being even worse in a country that's more obsessed about social rules and structure.

Her Love Hotel scene is her wanting you to impregnate her and then taking you by force when you say no

Salty milk and monocoins.

Now figure out which one is from the producers of the show before they reveal it.

The game and series as a whole is written as to make even the stupidest nip teenager feel all smart and shit.
The writers of this shit are dumb people trying to write smart shit but since they are so dumb they end up mistakingly think that just making shit convoluted equals smart writing. Aside from the lame waifu shit I will never understand what people see in a supposedly mystery type thing that is written do god damn stupidly to make dumb dumb people feel smart

okay so i need a quick spoiler from you all so i can leave this thread quickly before i get more spoiled

is v3 really a separate story from everything else or is it actually a prequel/sequel?

Separate

Separete story with some sequel parts.

Separate. But the theme of the game is Lies vs Truth, so exactly HOW separate they are is up in the air depending on how much you want to believe the mastermind

>Last trial spends so much time with its head up its ass trying to push the fiction meta

>At the actual end the MC suggests that perhaps everything tsumugi said could be a lie

if you're going to make me deal with all that bullshit kodaka could you at least not pull that shit on me at the end

>Is this the lie where Shuichi says he heard a conversation between two people in order to protect Maki? Because that's the only lie I remember
No, there was absolutely nothing pointing towards the maid and he flat out lied and said he heard her leaving her room.

The only lie I remember in that case is him covering for maki

Does it works?

AYAMATTE

Who cares if it was a lie? It was necessary to draw out a murderer

There's also Hoshi and Tojo's backstories and personalities being made in such a specific way that she would be able to have a motive for murdering him, and Harukawa being the Ultimate Assassin, with Oma hating those types of people. Same with Korekiyo's motive for murder being falsified backstory-related
I'd like to assume Shirogane initially planned things out so that Kaede is the true killer, Case 2 and 3 would remain as is, 4 would have Harukawa kill Oma without Kaito interfering, and Kaito would die of illness. Obviously, things went wrong since Shirogane had to kill Amami herself, and Kaito's love for Harukawa saved her

I honestly don't remember that. Are you sure you didn't accidentally find one of the alternate routes?

thanks. then i guess no one knows because the mastermind could be lying

I don't remember that either, it probably was a back route.

What is this from, it looks intriguing

You must have gotten and alternate route, in mine you call her out because this was well planned out with perfect detail

Danganronpa

What, the anime?

That explains why I've never seen it then

Yes, its on the dangan 3 anime future side, has all of the Hope council members in a killing game, with each member having special rules or they die instantly. Honestly I enjoyed that more than the despair side of the anime

>it looks intriguing
looks can be deceiving.

classic misdirection

>play DRV3 demo
>people all shit on Miu when she says it's a suicide and he stabbed himself in the gut
Why wasn't she in Danganronpa 3, she would've solved that shit in the first episode!

Hey guys just beat DRV3

Fuck Danganronpa as a whole, that was fucking stupid honest to God, I can't believe how retarded that big twist was

>Fuck Danganronpa
Agreed.

Meme obsessed Danganronpa fangirl takes over the series, viewership plummets.

Is it predicting the future?

Saihara please.

I hate how Monokuma has barely any presence in this game. It's like he isn't even part of the stort and only shows up in dedicated Monokuma segments to remind the player that he exists.

>forgetting the classic chapter 5

From the thumbnail, I thought her drills had expended to fill the entire screen.

dude are you telling me you don't like the same fucking phrase popping up every 7 sentences to give you some bare (haha bear) 'lol xd' humor that contributes nothing to the game

Move aside grandpa, it's time for monodam to shine

Could be that whole thing regarding his original VA in japan, could just be because they really wanted to hammer home the Monokids are essentially Scrappy Doos and a sign the series has jumped the shark

No legit imo DRV3 is just non-canon because it's so fucking dumb and it's basically a "It was all a dream" fucking pull-off
I'm either seeing it as that or:
There are two universes: One where DR1&2&AE&3 happened and One where it's fictional
Otherwise fuck it, it was having a really cool story up until that point with the meteorites and virus stuff, but nah seriously, that was a retarded cop-out

O N E
N
E

The two universes theory is the correct one

So is there one where UDG2 is a real?

If so, I want to live in the other one.

Have you faggots prayed to Atua today?

No.

Fuck Atua and fuck you. Nee-san will see you now

Nee-san is best and hottest V3 girl

So the game ends with K1bo blowing up?

I really like "Bye-onara!" but I really fucking hate Angie now.

Do I miss out on anything by not importing the demo save?

She got what she deserved so it's okay

It gives you the item that triggers the first hidden event in Chapter 1.

You get 333 coins, a free item (can be obtain in the main game anyway) and a free skill for trial.

What's the scene?

What's up with Angie? Not too far in but all I've heard is that she's fine with pinning a murder on Himiko. Is she a killer?

Can you please, please prove to me this is true
