TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODD
tedious
I'm glad Todd is working hard to bring us fantastic content like this.
Considering the survival mode in Fallout 4 sucked dick I'll just stick to free mods.
if youre gonna cry like a fucking bitch about things, atleast make legitimate complaints like how their fucking creation club updates break all fucking mods
survival mode is free lik it was free on fallout 4
If Bethesda wants to make (see: copy) mods and sell them, fine by me. Just don't expect me to pay for it. Also that shit was in vanilla New Vegas. Fuck you Bethesda.
Free for ONE WEEK, it will be $8 after.
Yeah $8 for a dumbed down Frostfall.
>SKSE64 is getting some actual progress finally
>Better fart out a useless update to fuck with it
Bethesda is dead to me.
And they say pirating games makes you a bad person.
Whats stopping someone from buying a mod and then torrenting it?
Technically you have to pay 15$
>Bethesda's stance on already existing mod items
>"Uhh well if it's from our games we can make shittier versions because we own it"
Skyrim was never designed with survival mode, this is literally breaking no existing mod promise on day one, again.
Bethesda never even pioneered the survival concept in Bethesda games, a contractor did.
Pete Hines is going to need a raise trying to defend this bullshit
Is anyone actually buying CC bullshit from them? Even consoles have mods to pick from now.
a wise investment indeed! ill surely purchase this mode no matter the cost, for ALL of my skyrim versions!
i simply cannot have it any other way.
i really enjoyed fallout 4 survival mode, i hope this is good too
>people will PAY MONEY for shitty mods for a 6 year old game that was shit the day it came out
I'll just wait for the free version.
I'm just going to pirate Bethseda games from now on.
This better be bait.
Reminder that it was made by the exact same guy who did all the survival mods.
You just make me remember that the first Bethesda game I played was Morrowind, with a cracked CD english version a guy gave me at highschool. I bought it a few years later tho.
Today, I am pleased I never bought Skyrim even if I played more than a 100h.
It's probably crammed up the ass with DRM.
...
>thoughts?
Should have been included from the beginning. All they had to do was copy-and-paste the survival mechanics from New Vegas.
I wouldn't buy it in the form of DLC. If the base game were later reprinted with this and some other DLC features packed in, then I would possibly buy that.
It simply uses an ESL file which is very easy to convert to ESM since it's almost the same thing.
>mod DRM
so this.......is........the........power.......of.........PC................
I gave up and un-installed FO4 and SSE. Bethesda finally broke me. I used to hate piracy but at this point i'm honestly considering it since the cracked version is CC free.
>mod collection
okay fuck bethesda
>People complaining
You do know you can get it for free right?
Opt into the beta and get it on the CC with your account and it's yours forever.
Only dumbfucks complain about having to pay. When there is a choice to get it for free.
No point in speaking the truth desu.
PS4 players are. They are the bulk of the market anyway and their target audience with this CC shit.
my skyrim is already modded to the point where this will seem like easy mode
It's a paid mod that is free for a limited time.
It's not even worth it free anyway, free mods already a much better job.
Making your credit system andakong people purchase packs of them to buy things is without a doubt one of the most Jewish practices out there.
Ah yes the download about 8 mods and 6 compatibility patches to all make it work as intended.
Frostfall and iNeed is literally everything you need to blow that shit out of the water, fuck off shill.
And the sleep to level up?
The restriction to not fast travel?
Your hunger and fatigue affecting your magika or stamina?
No HP restoration at all over time?
Hmm yeah I guess they do that alright...
> from now on
If you haven't done that since oblivion times then I pity you.
Hope you're ready for lootboxes with mods user
What mods do you use ?
I think a good survival mode only needs Requiem + Frostfall + Realistic needs and diseases
>DLC
It's a fucking paid mod. Call it what it is.
>no fast travel
frostfall retard
iNeed already does hunger and thirst better than survival mode, there's also Realistic Needs if you want something different.
All other changes are achieved with very minor mods with zero compatibility issues, and that's the biggest problem with this survival paid mod: it has ZERO customization, if you want fast travel you will have to disable the entire mod.
If you don't know shit about free mods then why are you even trying to argue against them? I already tried out survival mode and Frostfall does literally everything better.
Correction it's paid mods that you can get better from free mods.. this is lazy and just truly amazing how Bethesda is ruining their own games/modding community as they go a long, so far turning out really great for a laugh..
>Bethesda copies a New Vegas mod and turns it into DLC
>"this isn't a sign of things to come, surely"
>it was
>If you get it during the free week, it's perminent
What's the fucking point of needing to pay for this shit then?
The majority of players won't be able to take advantage of the free window. And the ones that do get it for free will both be promoting it for others and be lured into trying other CC products.
>and Frostfall does literally everything better.
Like?
You keep claiming that but not explaining why.
Like usual on Sup Forums
What's the point of it existing at all? I already have every single part of this "survival mode" running with a whopping three mods. Mods they even allowed onto their console versions. There is no reason for this to exist besides the lines between real Todd and meme Todd blurring a little more every day.
>the more cold you are the less max health you have
So they basically turned the cold into Fallout 4's radiation?
>paid mod for something that was already done better and free 5 years ago
wow. i bet they bet copy immersive patrols next and charge for it. zenibeth is beyond saving, let tes and fallout die already.
I'm pretty sure you're replying to a very clever advertisement for ineed and frostfall.
>People who get mods to disable fast travel
I don't get it, why bother modding it instead of just not using it?
>Buying a mod
This board should be re-designated as /Consolegaming/
Already have mods that do this.
>saw Skyrim on discount
>bought it to later in the road play the game
>now they've ruined mod support for the game
is pirating the way to play the game with mods at the moment? don't devs and publishers ever learn anything?
Clothing mechanics - wearing thicker clothing makes you more resistant to cold, it also supports the capes mod for protecting against rain. I don't know if Survival Mode actually has this but it doesn't mention it anywhere so I will assume it doesn't
Wetness - staying in the rain increases your wetness which multiplies coldness effects
Freezing Water - In Survival Mode you lose HP when submerged in freezing water, killing in you about 5 seconds, leaving the water instantly stops the damage. Meanwhile in Frostfall it maxes out you coldness and wetness, which debilitates you and kills you if you don't dry up quickly enough
Building tents and fires - no such thing in Survival Mode
There, I just listed the mod's features that I remember for you.
doesn't the cc shit only apply to the special edition? i think regular skyrim is still safe.
LE edition is safe. But they pulled it from the Steam store. store.steampowered.com
Bethesda abandoned the 32bit edition so it's CCfree.
>leaving the water instantly stops the damage
That's not how Thermal Dynamics and hypothermia works.
>Frostfall
>iNeed
>Hunterborn
There you go. Everything you need to completely bypass this entire fiasco in three easy steps.
But there are already free survival mods. Who is going to buy this?
Consolefags.
I forgot one import thing
Settings - you have full control over every little aspect of Frostfall, Survival Mode has no settings.
Creation club needs to die. Everyone who promotes this shit is allowing AAA gaming industry to go further down this road. Soon every single player game will have microtransactions in it.
>for skyrim
FUCK JUST RELEASE ELDER SCROLLS VI
they pull the LE bundle is all. you can still buy skyrim and the dlcs from steam, but since beth is pushing the SE so hard the old skyrim never goes on sale anymore there, which is fine, because you can still get LE steam keys from a variety of legit sites like fucking gamestop.
Why would Skyrim have a survival mode anyway?
Unlike Fallout, Skyrim is totally filled to the brim with lakes, rivers, animals and towns all around.
It sort of makes sense to worry about these needs in wastelands, but not in Skyrim.
The temperature thing kind of makes sense, but apparently it's still warm enough for lizard people to live just fine.
Frostfall fits it pretty nicely, Skyrim is cold.
Never ever
>you will soon be able to pirate a survival mode dlc for skyrim
ftfy
mate tes and fallout are dead. every future game is going have even more microtransactions and you know they're going to dumb down the games even further and sell you back 'features' that make the game 'better.' let it die.
What does it matter since literally every character starts the game with flames and healing spells?
>there are ppl who still plays skyrim in 2017
Video games as whole should die. There is no saving it, let it die.. LET IT DIE
Thermodynamics nigga, you need more energy to conjure up fire than you gain from it.
Skyrim came out in 2011 god damn it Todd shut the fuck up about it, it wasn't even that good why can't Bethesda just do other projects.
what does survival mode in fallout matter when there's power armor on the side of the road and batteries for it all over the place?
>{Current year}
Fallout 4 Battle Royale when?
Stop shilling Let It Die
Survival mode in Fallout 4 fucking sucked though. This will suck too.
it should have been in the game at launch as a big game feature. playing with frostfall makes the game way more fun.
the only good thing about fallout 4 survival mode (the patched one) is that it at least tried to make combat less bullet spongy, like you die fast but so do enemies.
they failed for the most parts though
That's the complaint; that's how survival mode plays, not Frostfall
you end up getting more features by using them too, as well as having options for all of them thanks to MCM
>still no dedicated multiplayer.
why even bother?
for what purpose? so you cad 'raid' draugr caves or are you that bad that game you need help to kill the dragon priests? not even every game needs fun with friends meme.
>thought I couldn't hate them any harder back when Oblivion came out
>thought I couldn't hate them any harder back when Fallout 3 came out
>finally I thought there could be absolutely nothing worse than Fallout 4
>this happens
not even made anymore lol
stuff like this just anti-fun since the whole game is built around positive reinforcement rather than calculated tradeoff like a real rpg.
Too bad it wasn't just an even damage increase across the board, instead they pissed us about with the stupid fucking adrenaline thing.
yeah no fuck you, multiplayer fucking ruins singleplayer series, just look at GTA 5
>Todd's stand is to change the size of things other than him at will
It all makes sense
when oblivion came out I never thought it could get any worse...
yeah, that's what they fucked up, balancing it around some adrenaline shit. I'm not sure if you could even see your current adrenaline in an easy way
>Horse armor
>I'll just wait for the free version.
What? But thats already out. It's literally a carbon copy of the most popular Skyrim Survival mod out there.
It's funny, everyone hated horse armor when it came out and made fun of it, yet here we are, with an entire in-game store dedicated to horse armor-tier paid mods
nope i like survival crafting shit when it's done well, and fallout 4's was fun as hell for me
You have extremely low standards.
