Anyone else enjoying Mario X-Com here? Only just started the second part so still fairly early since I'm focusing on getting perfect in all the maps.

Tried for hours to get a perfect on the final boss but took a break from the game. It was quite enjoyable but be warned Rabbid Luigi is an overpowered piece of shit because his vampire dash heals more than either Peach could ever hope to. If you don't understand what I mean, the vamped status effect marks someone so every attack on the marked target restores health to the attacker.

rLuigi is great early game and smaller maps but becomes far less useful when you get more enemies/space/bullshit to deal with.

But doesn't Rabbid Peach heal in a sphere? Don't have actual Peach yet.

Games great so far. Once I finish a world I go back for all challenges and hidden level. Haven't found sherbet desert hidden level yet but just completed all challenges.

I'm partway through the second world, too.
Is it true that you must always have at least one rabbid and one normal character in your team? Seems a bit stifling to peoples' creativity in team composition, if you ask me.
I'm probably going to keep Rabbid Peach on my team anyway, but I'm sure there's plenty of people out there who would only buy this game if they could just ignore all the playable Rabbids and treat it like a straight Mario spinoff with weird enemies.

is it worth buying a switch for this game, splat 2, and maybe arms?
any other recommended games? is fast rmx good?
I already played botw, mk8, and splat 1; and switch games are expensive as fuck here.

>But doesn't Rabbid Peach heal in a sphere?

Provided you can dash to them RL can mark targets to vamp every turn for healing.

I stopped using him pretty early so I don't know how well he does on the later maps.

The surprise of the year
At last Ubishit did something good

You have to have at least one rabbid and Mario is your mandatory leader. You can either consider this kinda bullshit or an interesting gimmick to strategize around. Given how fucking annoying some of the world 4 maps are the first time around, I'm leaning towards teh former.

Rabbid Luigi doesn't have enough movement to be great late game. What you want is rabid Mario, draw a group of enemies toward you, dash them all then hammer them if they are packed close enough

>Is it true that you must always have at least one rabbid and one normal character in your team? Seems a bit stifling to peoples' creativity in team composition, if you ask me.

Yeah. Every Nintendo character has an overwatch ability so I suspect it's so you can't have a triple overwatch team. Peach's overwatch is kind of shit tho because of her weapon.

>is it worth buying a switch for this game, splat 2, and maybe arms?

Maybe. You just listed out the games I bought with my Switch and I'm quite happy. However I split the cost of the Switch with my roommate as well as the games. I bought ARMS and Splat2, she bought Kingdom Battle. But yeah, since I paid $150 for a switch it was totally worth it for me.

>is it worth buying a switch for this game, splat 2, and maybe arms?
That's on you. Once a system have over 5 must have titles than I say it's worth it. But I bought mine with Xenoblade 2 in mind.

I had to take a break because the Halloween level just ramps up the difficulty like an oversized buttplug when you’re just used to a finger.

Its a great game, I am alrady have the season pass.
Hope that it sell well so we can get a sequel.

I'd say you should at least wait for Mario Odyssey, since it's a month away. That seems like a perfect first game for the Switch since you already played BOTW.
I can tell you firsthand that Splat2 and Rabbids are great fun, though. Puyo Puyo Tetris and Sonic Mania are also great, but they're multiplats.

The worst part is needing Mario in your party at all times, he isn't a fun character

What is in the season pass? I haven't really looked into it but if they later part of the game is as fun as the first part I might actually get it.

>tfw using a Mario and Luigi double overwatch on a team-jumping enemy

Personally I'd pass on Arms and fast rmx, they aren't bad but they are kind of shallow . get thumper and shovel knight

Hi, Davide.

>implying doing a stomp jump into a hammer attack isn't sick as fuck

In World 2 and using Mario, Rabbid Peach and Luigi and doing great. I seem to have great movement with team jump and stomp and Rabbid Peach double dash is really helpful. Is there a better combo later in the game?

All the characters are good it depends on the map/personal preference. My favorite team was rabbid peach and rabbid mario

Fucking this goddamn I love this shit. Bounce missle with rLewis and yer setting over watch on Mario and Luigi

Both luigis for me were the best setup but team changes and abilities change based on map
