Total Warhammer 2

>no threads because everyone's busy playing
Who are you playing nigga

>>no threads because everyone's busy playing
Because it's DoA and everyone already pirated it.

I've kept trying to beat the comp in a chokepoint battle on the map Finuval Plains. I attack as Dark Elves against High Elves defenders. Fail every time, albeit barely

Pretty REEEEEing

just do this

>dat melted hp bar

Playing Empire.
I can participate in the thread because of waiting for a torrent.
Torrent never

the comp doesnt just stand there tho

Who else? Also moon dragons are fucking insane

>tfw my entire front line is blessed saurus warriors with spears
>tfw kroq-gar has a 30% ward save and another 15% physical damage reduction and another 10% ranged damage reduction

*5 star dragons from an intervention force eat your lizards*

why didn't they just release this as an expansion? It looks and plays the same

so they could restart the cycle of sales under a new guise

So is it true if you own the first game the maps combine into one?

How do I do Warhammer 1 factions vs Warhammer 2 factions in custom battle?
I'm only seeing 2's factions

why are they throwing spagghetti at them?

bcoz CA sucks at creating VFX

Eventually. All the starting zones and things will be changed to the new map.

>try playing at same settings as the previous game
>it runs 20 FPS lower
I just want to despoil the land and hunt Elf-things.

>wanting to be a rat
sounds like you deserve it

you don't, nigga.

arrow trails can be turned off, faggot

>Doesn't want to play the most technologically advanced race
Peasant scum-filth.

wowo now I can't see anything
great solution, retard

>the ratfucker uses an inbreeder reaction image
pottery

and then they become invisible woooooooooow so helpful

i want them back to the way they looked in shogun

>advanced
>explodes in their own faces half the time.

now people are going to think we're samefagging

Wait a month for the mortal empires update.

until then the games are separated.

i liked the thin black streaks in Attila

i never played that, was too turned off by the rome II launch. i should get around to doing it some day

>He doesn't hold a slaverat up in front of his face whenever he's doing science

Reminder that Malekith is the rightful phoenix king

dude's too busy fucking his mother to do anything worthwhile.

Could someone help me with all the DLC for Warhammer 1?
IIRC there was a way to pirate them all while owning the game on steam.

I mean yeah, but even in his early years he had a tendency to being an asshole. Other elves knew he would have just been a puppet for Morathi to fuck everything up.

Asshole by human or elven standards? I ask because elves are assholes on a level that makes bretonnian noble feel envious

Just loaded it up. Playing Dark Elves. The new introduction campaign is pretty damn nice as far as refreshers go.

>mfw using 10 units of Lothern Balanceguard
>it's a line of archers
>press button
>it's now a big spearwall

I don't think they playtested this

creamAPI or something

>Brit yeoman can be hybrids now
If they pussy out we riot.

I guess he wasn't that bad by elven standards but it grew much worse over time.

Those repeading crossbows are OP

Was playing skaven. I hate lizards. Every fucking fight I have to kill every fucking lizard before they give up. Every fight takes forever and they just have unlimited stacks. The AI is fugged.

If I play quickfight can I fight with first game armies?
Can poor guys with only the first game fight against lizards and shit?

is this literally just warhammer 1 with different races and a different map? have there been any changes at all or graphical upgrades?

imagine a modder throwing in something like the manor construction system like in AD 1257 for Warband
the new mechanics in TWWH2 are like that--ultimately something that a dev can create in a day

because then they could only sell it for 20 bucks

There's some graphical updates like dynamic clouds and shit, but mostly yeah. If you also own 1 you will get a big map combining both when they implement it later.

Yes.
It looks and runs worse.

how can they possibly get away with charging full price for dlc?

If they do that while retaining the performance improvements on the new map and battles, I will be pleasantly surprised.

desu deving is a lot more work than that
You still got a point.
Warhammers are seriously just a single game too big for one release after all.

>have there been any changes
Yep, new mechanics for each of the race, treasure hunting.

Skaven have:

>Electricity
>Monorails
>Nukes
>Space Travel
>Instantaneous communication devices

In a setting where everyone else is basically living in 1600.

Because it's not DLC

It's a sequel.... amusing how no one thinks Attila is Rome 2 DLC when it literally reuses the same campaign map

So is it worth getting now? Even without the mortal campaign with all the races?

I thoroughly enjoyed the first game

It has at least as much content as vanilla 1.

Just pirate it

Nope, I support devs that make good games

Not playing. Huge GW fan. I've purchased just about every games workshop Vidya worth a damn ever. I could see Total War Warhammer 1 was a bit of a cash grab, but I still did. However I've hit my breaking point. This is shitty DLC pretending to be a sequel and I'm done.

Edgy as fuck

It's a good game but with only 4 factions it gets old fast without the other races. Get it in a month

>busy playing
Nah, my rig can't run it well enough for my liking so I'm leaving it out. Probably pick it up in some complete collection in a year or two.

dont break the historylet narrative just let them tantrum. They'll get tired eventually.

i rather wait until they add all the dlc.

I'm no big Creative Assembly fan and dislike their practices of selling off factions as DLC etc but this game fits the bill of a 'stand-alone expansion' more than anything. It's actually a step in the right direction, though i fully expect they'll also make some lazy exploitative DLC to sell you.

>$60 dlc

whoa

But what about devs with terrible DLC policies?

I bet we get another 5-8 bucks blood dlc for this game, too, in a few weeks.

>But what about devs with terrible DLC policies?
Dose anyone talking about Paradox and Civilization? At least in TWW dlc factions will be added into a campaign without buying.

blood dlc was 3 bucks for the first game and works with the second game as well.

theres only 4 playable factions but the game still has all the factions from the first game present.

>Dose anyone talking about Paradox and Civilization?
All the fucking time, yes. Paradox are the Grand Jews of dlc.

I'm pleased if it's a stand alone expansion which over all moves the franchise in the right direction. But calling it a sequel and charging a sequel price isn't making me want it any more.

CRACKED
10
HOURS
AFTER
RELEASE

>start on hardest difficulty
>life is pretty good I am proud at myself
>got lot of settlements
>have a strong army with strong lords
>play for 5 hours in row
>start a ritual
>followers of chaos spawn everywhere with lizardmen intervention forces
>they rape my ass

I hate this fucking game

Does this "new" game only add the new races and a new map for them? There's basically no info on the changes for Empire and other factions. Are old factions still the same? What role do they play in this dlc?

Reddit rats of course

The vanilla game had plenty of content to justify a purchase.

All the extra DLC was optional, I picked up some of it when it was on sale.

I have nothing against DLC as long as the base game is big enough and that was certainly the case for this game

Presumably the original races will be the same.

In truth total war warhammer is basically 3 games split apart over 3 years. The first one was made with the last one in mind.

if you cant play the faction it doesnt count as a faction

someone please answer

Is this pricing a normal thing with Total War games?

Is it seriously cracked already? I want to buy it for the mega-campaign but the first one barely ran on my toaster and it'd be great if I could check.
What are the fags at Denuvo doing?

Except for Bretonnia, who never quite advanced past the 12th century.

>games workshop
>creative assembly
you couldn't have expected anything less from these britkikes

Most people seem to say that it runs better than the first one, but my experience has been quite the opposite.

Update coming soon, knowing CA they probably don't know how to do it because they rotate devs every 2 years and keep using interns.

Games workshop has been getting a lot better with their pricing recently, ever since they switched CEO. It's still expensive but it feels like they're trying for example with the start collecting boxes or the recent christmas battleforces. Paint and brushes are still absolute jewery though
>t. owner of a warlord titan and 3 warhounds

>Games workshop has been getting a lot better with their pricing recently
>new death guard
Also, SC are pretty useless since it's not even 500 points.

I swear to God, if Araby doesn't come out by November or December so I can get my crusade/jihab on, I'm gonna smack a bro.

First game, didnt had alot of time yesterday.
But feel smoother then TWH1

The only thing they have there is comms, which others have, and they dont have it on a large scale, warplightning aint no harnessed electricity

>play delf
>request additional slaves
>build public order buildings
>win

Malekith is easiest campaign by far

struggling to find which race I want to play first, I've done about 20 turns for both lizardmen and dark elves so far. enjoy dark elves a ton in battles, Malekith is getting over 100 kills from spells in every battle and I'm always a fan of ranged units that can melt away enemy units as they approach, but there's something about their starting position and campaign mechanics that I'm not keen on. I think it's probably that I can tell already that I'm going to have to sail across the seas a hell of a lot and micro-manage armies across the huge map.

From what I can tell about Lizardmen so far, they seem to be built to just conquer Lustria and not really have to spread out across the sea so much. But I've never played an army like them before and find them kind of weird to play as in battles.

Guess it's just a result of the fact that all 4 races have always been towards the bottom of my personal list of Warhammer fantasy armies to pick up in tabletop.

>Elfy

No thats literally their trait. They berserk at 50% hp.

>all these little QoL improvements
I'm pretty satisfied
Can't wait for combined campaign map

gimme a rundown on the different race playstyles compared to the first game

>tfw no gunpowder race
