What type of mods would you like to see for Fallout 4 to improve the experience?
What type of mods would you like to see for Fallout 4 to improve the experience?
Dog fucking guild
You can put confetti on a shit, it's still shit.
The mod that uninstalls the game
There are lots of mods that have little improvements, but nothing fixes the fact that the RPG interactions are gone, and the dialogue is extremely restricted because of voice acting.
That, combined with an awful time-travel story, that seriously stretches the suspension of disbelief that the world would still be that level of shit 200 years later. The game has fundamental immersion problems that can't be modded out. The best way to play is to just go off and do your own thing, and enjoy the mechanics that exist, and usually work as intended.*
*for a Bethesda game.
Can you run mods from NMM while simultaneously using mods from the built-in mod manager? It'd make things easier to just do everything from reskins to weather in the game and let NMM exclusively run mods with scripts.
>fallout 4 experience improvement mod
>only 9500 credits!
I like tha uninstall mod quite a bit
Fix the settlers
Settler AI is what ruined settlements for me. I had fun building shit up, but these guys are worse than a hamster who won't run in his wheel or crawl through his neat plastic tubes that you bought him.
You can assign these fucks their own bed, and you would assume they hang around that area like as a home of their own, but no. When you come to your settlement, they all spawn in one spot right in the center of the settlement and just stand there doing nothing. You can assign some of them to run the stores, but guess what? The motherfuckers are never around! They don't show up to work! You can assign guards to patrol watch towers and stuff, but those fuckers will probably be just standing somewhere doing nothing instead. And half the time they spawn on the roof of a house for some reason, and they can't get down.
It was awful, it just ruined the whole experience, which could have been so much better. They could have taken some ideas from like The Sims or something and put them to use here. Instead, their improvments was to add more lights and add animal traps and arenas.
Fucking dumb Bethesda
One that adds more dialogue interactions with NPCs
Mods, the only reedemable thing abo ut bethesdas games, were gaining in popularity so they look at this and go, "wow our games are so shit people just solo rebuild the game from the ground up and make it playable. Should we hire people like this or start promoting their work?"
"No but lets start charging for shittier mods to our heaping shitpile of a game."
I enjoyed Fallout 4, as I did the other games. Was I not supposed to?
>What type of mods would you like to see for Fallout 4 to improve the experience?
>replacers for most of the guns
>fix some of the gun loading mechanics
>overhaul of the stats system to be like the old games
>overhaul of the game start that makes the character start as a blank slate wastelander who just arrived in Boston
>Main quest removed
>Deep, interactive, new quests
>Most of the settlement locations transformed into non-player controlled settlements with unique NPCs
>Very simple, highly streamlined squad based controls so a charisma character can travel with a posse of multiple NPCs for protection. More NPCs for more charisma
>Clothing overhaul where almost all the NPCs no longer wear 200 year old clothing but instead buckskin and new colonial inspired clothing manufacture by the wastelanders
Add the Legion to the game. Random Legion Recruit kills a roach so Preston makes them the new General of the Minutemen and keeps warning them that a settlement is in danger.
the only thing that can save this fucking disaster are good sex mods
im serious by the way. i used to joke about how shitty of an rpg the next tes/fo game would be and what they could add/remove with friends, and 90% of it came to fruition. it goes without saying we spent the following days being mindnumbed
Power armor was cool, but I want a big Voltron type shit to brawl with Deathclaws
Mod that lets you have a romance with your wife's corpse when?
>love the way the power armor works, how much you can modify it, how it's more like a vehicle than a halloween costume that happens to block damage
>fusion cores are retarded but you can just give yourself 99 in the console and they stop mattering
>all this good stuff is stuck in Fallout 4, a game I absolutely do not care about
I pirated this game just to play with and find power armor, I'm too enamored with the concept.
Hey Todd, I'd like some Dinosaurs. The bigger the better. Thanks
A full "create your own synth servant/bodyguard" for intistute players, something like the acessories from freedom wars.
And I mean an actual decent mod with the same creation character menu you get for the mc, perks you can control, combat settings and all that.
A synth companion who is fully under my control is what I wanted ever since I discovered the institute, but beth never delivered, and the few synth mods out there are full of bugs.
At least automatron was better than I hoped.
you can already do that in skyrim :^)
Crazy Pron Quests and anime tiddies
I cant believe theres still no mecha mods for the power armor.
Was expecting a EVA or Gurren Laggan mod to show up as soon as the game came out.
All the moding drama killed the moding scene. Maybe the jp modders have done that stuff look at jp blogs
A detailed simulation of my weird fetish that is naturally mixed into the game world.
>fusion cores are as common as hell.
Don't understand why people have trouble with them.
nuka world was like 90% of what I wanted from this game
the only missing detail was the full extermination of the minutemen
I think there should have been a quest to identify the railroad as insane, anti-human criminals, and then kill them in righteous finality, but I can see why that was omitted. They did, in fact, get purged, so that's good enough for me
>More Trainwiz and Someguy quest mods
Maybe I would then consider playing this abomination again
I would want a mod that allows you to summon your power armor.
Perhaps it could be tied to the town system, in a similar way to the artillery strikes, where you can only summon the armor if in range of an armor launcher.
Also can only call it outdoors and it drops from the sky.
>its been 2 years since Fallout 4 came out
Theres a bunch of mods that do that
Oh. I don't actually have it on PC.
>and the dialogue is extremely restricted because of voice acting.
I think the dialogue is more restricted due to Bethesda casualizing the game for consoles than it is due to voice acting. I mean, they could have written more lines for the voice actors to say based on the choices, but you can't unsee the 4 dialogue choices in the shape of a console d-pad or layout of the buttons.
I use FROST, it axes all the story bullshit, and the dialogue issues aren't problem because there's nobody to talk to. Lack of RPG shit is still an issue and the guns are still wet noodles but it's better than vanilla.
>Same map but cleaned up a little because Bethesda cant into post apocalypse design without putting trash and junk all over
>Voiced protag removal
>dialogue wheel removal
>A total overhaul mod that hires a team of new writers and replaces the story with something that doesn't suck with dialogue that isn't amateurish
>reduced godrays
The mesmetron redux, with an overarching quest to enslave good looking females to whore them.
Same, I was just doing a BoS run, they straight up give it to you like candy.
Find like 1 or 2 here or there while exploring. Met the BoS, find like 4 or 5 just in a foot locker, then like 2 on each Knight.
Holy Shit. I felt more prepared for war than any other asshat by the end.
no amount of mods make up for the uninteresting story.
I don't think the game is nearly as bad as what alot of people make it out to be. Despite its flaws I still had a ton of fun with it. I'd be fine with the minuteman, just if I weren't forced to be general, same with like the Institute, being director, I just like being a no-name wanderer doing things for my own cause. I really liked the BoS, but how they were portrayed as overly ignorant/intolerant (More so than usual) bothered me a bit.
Rape mod.
Small nitpick. THE FUCKING ROADS
I feel like they are way too small for the world.
Like some of those cars would barely fit in a single lane.
Also some of the internal external scaling doesnt quite match, like the Mass Fusion center is way bigger on the inside than how its portrayed on the outside.
Spoken like someone whose first game was FO3
Massive faction questline expansion.
Not just doing these little random radiant quests, I meant shit like finding some weapon specs and so fourth to help upgrade the armories of everyone.
>Set up spy cameras for the railroad giving them better intel
>Retrieve plasma weapon specs for the Institute to make their own plasma weapons
>Take over quarries, Ironworks, and Corvega for the minutemen to get manufacturing restarted in the commonwealth
>Not sure about the BoS, they seem fairly set.
