It doesn't really matter which one you try to side with, Therese always says "I'm sorry it had to end like this..." or something similar. It's never Jeanette who is the one who is trying to kill you. And even when Therese says Jeanette is the one who sent the thugs to kill you in the diner, it still ends up with Therese saying that line and implying she's the one who is actually trying to kill you.

Vanilla patched up to 1.2 is able to be finished, even though it's buggy and gets random crashes once in a while. You'll need a couple fixed dll files to deal with the blurry texture issue but I played the game my first few times just with the official 1.2 patch.

There were like maybe 2 dozen VtMB threads within the past few weeks. Can only talk about it so much. I'm guessing most people ran out of things to discuss and are going to play the game, then maybe take a break until next October. Go play other games or do other things but try to get more people into VtMB. I've seen more and more people saying they're tired of the way modern games are with their crappy DLC practices, microtransactions, etc. and that they want to play older classics, so it's a good time to remind people about it.

If you're that guy saying you only liked these threads to discuss the pnp game then hopefully someone else at least reads this and gets more people into VtMB

Yeah make sure you use the basic version of the patch if it's your first time, don't click the box for the "plus" version and other additions during the patch installation.

The members of Troika came together to create one of the best games ever, and then disbanded. We came together to discuss it over a decade later and are now disbanding. Sad but fitting, but it's not the end of VtMB. More people will play it.

only gives them level 1 dialogue though, which is a good compromise

Do Tremere really use much domination in the PnP game?

Why wouldn't they? It's a pretty useful discipline

It's complicated
Thaumaturgy is considered incredibly important to the Tremere, so much that one of the main flaws of the clan is that they usually base promotions on thaumaturgical skill, to the detriment of other, perhaps more useful abilities
With that being said, only an idiot Tremere would not try and take advantage of such a powerful in clan discipline, that has so many applications
Tremere probably have the best in-clan discipline combination, and if not, they're definitely up there

Thaumaturgy is the most versatile vampire discipline of them all, next to Vicissitude.
One of the paths, Movement of the Mind, is basically the force. That would be fun to have in a video game, not many have actual telekinesis come to think of it

The problem is the Tremere's promotion system, which depends on Thaumaturgical aptitude
Just because you're great at magic, doesn't mean you're the best at leading a local chantry, or being in charge of a city.
Also how dare you not mention Necromancy in "Stupidly versatile disciplines" list

Only tangentially related but Orpheus is the most underrated game line. It's like Wraith but actually playable

It does add more, but most of it is lower quality and feels very out of place. VtMB isn't about quantity over quality. The added weapons and Malkavian maze aren't too bad. The changes to rewards for completing some quests make sense, kind of. But the whole library quest has bad writing and dialogue delivery, with a horribly annoying boss fight. The added ways to complete some quests just feel like amateur work and ruin the atmosphere for me. Overall I really don't like it, even though it does a few good things.

It doesn't really make it harder either, and in fact I found the game easier as you get stronger weapons sooner and get more XP points overall. Blood buff only gives 2 bonus points into str/dex/stamina which could be considered more challenging I guess but it's not a noticeable difference, it just makes it more tedious to deal with lockpicking. You don't regen health as quickly so you have to use blood heal, but that also just makes the game feel tedious by having to stop and use it once in a while. Just... more tedious, not really more challenging.

It's just not formatted very well. Obviously checking the boxes to not install those things means it won't use any more disk space, so it's for when the boxes are unchecked and those things are being installed.

The prostitute 2 replacer looks like they replaced her with Ann Coulter. The eye replacer is worth getting if the patches don't include it, but everything else is just okay at best so it's up to you if you want to get them. I wouldn't use anything except eye replacer though.

Ventrue tend to be pretty picky about their choices, and not just in terms of ability. They often look for pedigree in their embraces, so it's quite possible that they don't often go for black people
