This is true, but Dark Souls also has some very tricky platforming that's harder than anything in Mario.

yeah but it has shit controlls and is not a game focused on jumping you can make the case for cuphead it has at least 50% focus on jumping and avoiding, the rest is shooting and plane levels.

Probably Mario, but I haven't played it so Hat in Time for me. Most other people don't seem to have enjoyed it as much as I did, but god damn I loved that game. Easily one of my favourite games I've played in years.

It also somehow managed to remind me that games can be fun without any challenge. I used to always argue that as a fact, but in recent years I've found myself enjoying easy games less and less. Hat in Time renewed my enjoyment for easy games.

Deeply regret buying that game. Loved Meatboy and Isaac, but End is Nigh didn't entertain me at all. I should probably refund it if I'm still able.

Rich Evans really took me off guard though. I had just finished watching an episode of Best of the Worst when I started the game and heard his voice. Thought I was hallucinating or something.

Odyssey probably even though I can't play it myself since I lack a Switch. Personally my game of the year is either A Hat in Time or Sonic Mania, I had so much fun with both of them.

I'm a diehard platformer fan and only bothered with 5 of the games in that picture.

Forces, Yooka Laylle and Knack look like pure trash. Haven't seen anything about the Disney game. Looks like it's just a port?

Technically it's just an emulator.

Literally just 5 NES games emulated, with boss rush and time attack thrown in. At the very least it has a CRT filter and some nice old artwork from back in the day.

This was a good game, solid 8 from me. The realization about the usage of tumors and the entirety of Accrptance were really cool moments.

Cuphead isn't even a game. It's just some animated comic art which is forced into the most boring "gameplay" you can imagine.

The "gameplay" quality is just some simple hit box check with a few interactions.
