How safe is G2A? Do any of you ever buy from them?
I know the keys are somewhat shady but I mean the site itself.

>dozens and dozens of articles and videos with evidence of how fucking scammy g2a is
>DURRRRRRR IZ IT GUD?
T. developer
It's as safe as you make it, don't buy from shady sellers and you won't be as upset as this guy
Their attempts at saving face not long after the shit started flying had them do an AMA on Reddit. One of their users put a fake key up and sold it whist the AMA was going on. They showed how easy it was to scam people and then got banned for pointing it out. Just don't bother with them.
it's actually really great, easily the best game store. not shady in the slightest
>Look, there are retards out there who will buy from a seller with virtually no sales
>ISN'T THAT FUCKED UP?
>T.
Can you newfags fuck off and kill yourself?
They can shit so hard in people's faces and yet PChildren still feed them money like goddamn retards "lol it's cheap who cares if i end up losing over $100 in total?"
I've bought at least 20 games from g2a and never had an issue, like the other user said check the seller before buying.
interesting that someone shilling (for free) against grey markets is calling anyone else a newfag
I've bought dozens of keys from there on multiple platforms, never had any problems or bans. Use your fucking brain: If its a sketchy seller then don't fucking buy from them.
Depends on the seller, the ones with good ratings are reliable.
I occasionally sell on G2A and got tricked by a buyer once. Seller and buyer beware.
>build new PC last week
>too paranoid of getting malware to buy from G2A
This.
Bought a handful of keys from there and didn't have any issues
Well, I had a few dollars to spare on a prepaid credit card so I bought a few cheap games on G2A. Now a friend of mine is telling me I can get keyloggers and malware just from buying steam keys on G2A. Now I'm kind of worried. I'll be monitoring this thread
Instant gaming is usually cheaper anyway, so I really don't see a reason to buy from G2A anymore
I've used it to get Oblivion Master of the Sea Edition for like 5 bucks before and recently got Rise of the Tomb Raider for 20. I may be lucky but nothing bad has happened those times.
Remember that the price you see WILL NOT be the price you'll get charged, g2a will add some bullshit fee somewhere in the middle
DO NOT use a credit card directly, try to use paypal. Why? Because they will try to charge you monthly for some bullshit service, and it's easier to dispute through Paypal
Don't even bother selling there, you'll get swarmed by fees and earn scraps. You'll also have to wait for 2 weeks for them to release payment. When you try to withdraw you'll get a withdrawing fee. And when you try to buy from their own marketplace, you'll see a price, try to pay and BAM another fee so now the item is 10% more expensive
>malware from copypasting a key
????????????????????
Install malwarebytes and use your antivirusand dont have to worry about malware, more chance of getting malware on Sup Forums apparently the new adds are infected but i use addbock so iwouldnt know
ding dong wrong
don't buy from nobodies, even if it looks appealing because they're 5$ cheaper than the big names
keep in mind some devs would rather you pirate than buy off g2gay because it hurts them less than chargebacks from stolen credit cards
>Now a friend of mine is telling me I can get keyloggers and malware just from buying steam keys on G2A
the fact you believe this is hilarious
Worked perfectly every time I've used it so far, but I think I bought under 10 games total.
>malware from a key sent to you by email or a gift sent to you by steam
stupid fucking anime poster
I've honestly made dozens of purchases and the only issue I ever had was resolved pretty promptly (key countdown bugged out and never got my key, they fixed it and gave me a discount).
Several of my purchases were without g2a shield as well. My most recent was the guild wars 2 expansion, although I was a little on edge because I thought it might have been a unknown seller. As long as you avoid people like that, then you'll be good.
After the Steam region locks there isn't much point to keysites. Often their listed prices are higher than what you'd pay for on Steam.
That's if the seller does a chargeback though. Often if they do a chargeback, then the key is invalidated. Still pretty much the fault of the customer for buying something shady.
I bought a few times from there. No issues. They just give you a CD key so I don't get all the posts about malware.
that said, if you're so worried about it just buy somewhere else. G2A isn't that much cheaper. Surely you can afford the extra $3 that G2A saves you.
Some years ago I bought Battlefield Bad Company 2, and EA removed the game from my Origin account.
Sup Forums ads have always been super infected. Nobody except the lowest companies want to associate with Sup Forums, so we get to see the same ads porn sites and fileshare websites use.
I've bought exactly 77 steam keys from g2a. 2 of those keys were revoked by steam, but I got my money back in both cases, so I don't give a fuck. Buying full price is retarded, when you can buy with a massive discount.
That's blatantly not true. Hundreds of games still have $5 copies from bundles or past sales. Region locks effectively do nothing, given enough time.
You do click a link to G2A through your e-mail for the key so who knows
probably written on phone so it made the T uppercase automaticly and he didnt give enough of a fuck about you or your reply to correct it
So instead of Ivan selling you a $60 new release for $10, you have to wait probably years before it goes on that kind of sale for your region.
Seems to be doing quite a lot buddy.
It's fantastic for selling spare keys you get from humble bundles and stuff, I've easily gotten a couple hundred euros from spare stuff and gotten games that I wanted. Wonderful service that gets a bad rap for a tiny amount of users that use scummy practices, also that g2a shield thing is shit, never use it
G2A has more scams obviously but what about Kinguin
I'd trust g2a a lot more
Forgot to mention you probably dont want g2a shield its just a way to jew an extra few shekels from you
Bought about five games. Not a single issue in years. Make sure you buy from the people with the most amount of ratings even if they're a bit more expensive. Remember it's eBay for game keys.
All the time. I think I've bought roughly 30 games from them. Whenever there's a steam sale I check G2A, if it's cheaper on G2A I buy it there
it makes devs and shills mad so fuck yeah I buy from them, BUT, multiplayer games like total war warhammer, bf or titanfall. I borrow single player console games and pirate pc single player games.
burnt massively here and i did trust g2a til that time.
Not doxxing myself so tl;dr (dont care about shills asking for screenshots).
1. Buy a (then) recently released title half off from their recommanded sellers with g2a shield. Figuring its all good.
2. Key banned from steam
3. Contact g2a support - 7 days
4. Asking for screenshots of purchase history etc. Ok cool i provide those - 7 days pass.
5. Claim gets rejected despite providing all they ask for.
6. Use g2a shield chat - they are glorified chat CRs who can't handle claims ,have no access to claims , cant pass on info to claim handlers.
G2a shield is a fucking scam on top of it all. You get nothing for it for above reasons.
6. Appeal claim - ask what else do they need. At this point the shithole seller starts claiming i shopped the pics and cussing. G2a rep asks for another screenshot. I provide - 7 days pass. Appeal rejected. No reason provided.
At this point i contacted my cc company for a fraud claim. Takes 2 months but g2a doesn't answer them and i get my entire purchase back. Beyond that particular key.
My best guess was the douche was selling a chargeback key that was banned for being a chargeback.
Never again. Few dollars more not to waste this much time on a fucking blight on the entire gaming scene.
>all these people calling one guy a shill
>while they also shill
interesting
Use fucking PayPal you dumb cunt. Claims get dealt with pretty quick in my experience
I haven't been burnt yet but probably eventually will. Just use it like Amazon and don't buy from anybody under ~95%.
I'd say Kinguin is safer than G2A. I bought several keys from them and never had a problem.
G2A is fine, i've bought around 15 games and never had a problem.
>not just pirating your gaymes from steam
Thanks to the user who pointed out that glitch, now I never have to use shitty torrents again
Never had a problem. Laughing at the moralfag redditors ITT. Somehow you fags get more upset about people purchasing the game at a cheaper price than straight up pirating it.
