What older games have you bought recently rather than spending $60 on the new Mario/AC/Wolfenstein/Mordor?
I've bought Witcher 3 GOTY, Dying Light: The Following EE and the Full Throttle Humble Bundle for about ~£30 combined

I'm playing f2p runescape
Entitled millenial scum get out
i just pirated the new mummy game. Soundtrack is awesome, on par with hotline miami games, but not that impressed. Oh i just bought saints row three when it was 3.75 too
Those games aren't old at all faggot
Witcher 3 and Dying Light are both from 2015
nier automata was at less than half price when it came out, Witcher 3, homeworld remastered, wolf the new order and doom for 15€ combined a few months ago too
Kinda feel sorry for people who can only handle modern games and there graphics.
i just bought a 3ds xl for $40 and modded it. so happy.
And if you think $60 new games are bad, check out all those eight to ten years old games still listed for $30 on Steam, and then 50% off is supposed to be a great sale.
Yes, and?
Minecraft was like £17 britbong bucks. It's fun.
I got the jak and daxter trilogy for 8 bucks a while ago and it's kept me busy enough.
...
>people don't remember paying $60+ for N64 and PS1 games
Games have almost always cost $60, if not more. is just one example. I remember some N64 and PS1 games being more than $60 as well.
>tfw remember saving up $80 for Excitebike 64
>BOBBY MALONE HAS KNOCKED OUT JUMPIN' JIM RIVERS
Who are you arguing with? Nobody said otherwise.
You mean, yourself? Or are you actually 37+ years old?
Because cartridges were expensive. Disc games were always $50 until last gen when they rose to $60.
>PS1
>cartridges
I clearly remember paying around $70 for a few new PS1 releases.
We aren't arguing with anyone, which is why neither of us quoted someone in discussion, but rather in agreement to what someone else had posted.
I have only bought a 60 dollar game twice in my life and I regretted 1.5 of those times. Sub-$20 games for life.
I could count on one hand the amount of times I've paid $60+ for a game.
Of course, these days waiting and buying second hand games has bigger disadvantages than they used to (i.e. no digital preowned, dying online modes etc)
I forgot missing the boat and only being able to jump on when they have filled the game full of shitty "games as a service" bloat and loot box garbage
And 20gb+ patches.
Are you actually getting triggered over people being frugal?
I really hate the direction that many companies are taking with games. Day 1 DLC, exclusive retail bonuses, and now the whole loot box garbage.
I use to be fine with games like MMOs having cosmetics and such, there was usually always enough content to the games themselves to allow it.
I also don't agree with everything having to be multiplayer to succeed, dumbass idea that is being meme'd pretty hard by shitty developers.
Unless you spend $60 on every new release then buy the season pass and a bunch of loot boxes then you're entitled gamer scum that is destroying the industry
I don't remember. I think Bayonetta 2 at launch wasn't 60 bucks.
With Bayo1 it was, but alone it was $40.
My parents bought me the power rangers game on SNES for $65 which is over $100 in today's monopoly. I'll always remember that.
If it was then that was my last $60 purchase, because I bought the bundle.
yeah, original xbox graphics are totally outdated bro!
My last full-priced game purchase was Driver 2.
It was impressive before GTA.
$60 isn't the price of the full game, its the price of the entrance fee
I miss felling good after beating a game that fully complete.
got simcity 4 for $5 as part of my sale haul.
I straight up do not pay $60 for games anymore. $20 is my top dollar. In fact, the last games I bought at full retail price were MGSV and the Crash Trilogy. Unless I really, REALLY care about the franchise, I find it for 10-20 bucks on sale or don't buy it until then.
Props to that game, but didn't the xbox version have unpatched shit that made it impossible to 100% Real inane shit I mean.
>showing off shovelware Xbox games
I hope you didn't pay more than $3 for those, og Xbox games are flooding resale stores
