Will you purchase you games at FUCKING GAMESTOP now?
yes
no
I love how blatant advertising won't be removed by mods and janitors.
i don't know
Maybe
What?
What if someone genuinely wants to talk about this?
This honestly looks like a move of desperation to get more people in the doors since more and more people are buying new games through Amazon and Best Buy.
Then they would've talked about it normally rather than use catchphrases and direct linking to shill articles in the OP.
Wait, so you get one used game and come back into the store to exchange for another one?
I like it because A) it would save me money on buying new games (which I wait for a discount anyways), and B) it'll help curb my retarded backlog.
I'm cautiously optimistic.
Of course, if I cared about digital only this would mean nothing to me. But because I care about saving money, it's interesting.
Reminds me of Blockbuster.
Just stop, dude.
...
>This honestly looks like a move of desperation
Exactly what I was thinking, gamestop has been getting destroyed from digital distribution and online retailers. Why drive to gamestop where they will try and shove pre-order bonuses and other garbage down your throat when you can order with amazon prime and have it at your door day one.
No I go to the library to rent my games.
I can't tell if this is worth it or not.
>throwback classics
>oldest game in picture is for 360
MAKE IT STOP
It still doesn't explain much. Is there a limit to how many you can check out or what you can check out? Could I get new games like Mario and Wolfenstein as long as they're used?
So its a rental service? $60 is a fucking lot, unless you are constantly renting things every week.
I don't understand how someone can have an attachment to fucking Gamestop of all places.
There are better alternatives and you don't even need to step through their doors, yet they'll still insist on going there and paying the ridiculous tax prices.
Nope. Paid $30 for a 2 year membership to Best Buy and get just a good deals as Prime. Gamestop has lost all my business in the recent years due to mishaps.
>60 bucks
>"The price of one new game!"
Fuck off, gamestop
If you preorder with Amazon prime you also get 20% off too there's even less reason to ever visit a gamestop.
Is this a strange rent to own situation?
Essentially, this deal is only good if you don't buy day one.
Can't you return a used game forr a full refund anyway?
Best buy gamers club is a better deal, as you can pick it up launch day at store and you still get 20% off limited editions which amazon no longer does.
It you can thats new to me.
I remember this shit. I worked there that winter they pushed this and I didn't get any hours because I wouldn't ask people if they wanted it because I'm not a fag.
They didn't keep me.
I'd rather go all digital on psngames, got Mario Odyssey for 33€ vs Amazon and Gamestop €60.
>Used games only
What's the fucking point, all the used games at Gamestop are old sports games and mediocre titles from years ago that can probably just be bought for less than $5.
Nobody is going to be returning their copy of Zelda, Mario, or any other new games released within the year to Gamestop.
This subscription is basically "Please dig through our trash heap of games that literally nobody wants"
>can't put feelings aside and do job properly
>not a fag
Gee, I wonder who could be behind this post.
>tfw my libraries don't carry games
That retort doesn't even make any sense.
The point is that you shouldn't work retail if you're not willing to look like a retard.
Hell think of McDonald, they even give you nice little retard cap to remind everyone you're working for how worthless you are just by looking at you, it's psychology.
What’s the small print on the last game you get to keep?
I assume you can’t just keep a new release that someone traded it in and they are selling for $55.
this is the worrying thing you gotta wait for the used games to show up
My GameStop always has a used copy on new releases being sold for $5 less than a new one.
But I’m sure that won’t be the case anymore once this takes off.
This. Gamestop is falling into obscurity. This is like their last desperate move before they announce they're filing for bankruptcy
>weww!!!! gaymer pass for unlimited vidya
>100 people sign up at one store
>literally no games to rent because the first 25 people took a copy of all the new titles and can hold it as long as they want
nice scam
Post YFW Gamestop will die in your lifetime
You pay $60. You get one used game of your choice. You can exchange that game for another used game of your choice. You can repeat this process as many times as you want for six months. After this six month period, you can no longer do this exchange process, but keep the latest game you rented.
You keep the last game you rented when then exchange program end.
I don't, my refusal to be a corporate shill worked out fantastically as I immediately secured gainful employment that wasn't some wage cuck shit right after I quit working there. So being an arrogant prick who refuses to sell credit cards to children worked out wonders for me.
I don't think these people know what "unlimited" means.
I would be more interested if there were PC games, but as it is I don't really know. I rarely use my PS3 or PS4 anymore.
only if its within like 5 days or some shit
Either that or they're trying to get numbers up quickly right before selling themselves off to someone else.
you're looking too deep into it, man.
>You can exchange that game for another used game of your choice. You can repeat this process as many times as you want for six months
You can already do that by taking advantage of their very lenient return policy. This is completely and utterly pointless.
this is game stops attempt to legitimize "ghetto rentals". i had a ton of people come in wheen i worked there who would buy a game, try it out for 7 days, "return it" and come back in to rebuy it a hour later until they beat it
Your mom. You're a fucking retard for getting fired for not doing your job at a video game store
Sounds true, I mean who lies on the Internet?
What the fuck is your problem?
I wouldve used that in the PS2/3 era a lot.
Not now though.
This honestly sounds like a good deal. Almost too good. I bet you it's all gonna be sports titles and shovelware that's on the shelves. I seriously doubt it's all gonna be stocked with the triple a games that you actually want.
