NPCs aren't completely weak without their stamina, haggling fixed so people can buy 1 elex items, being able to finish the abessa mission if you help the clerics, a ton of stuff.

Cleric weapons are generally more powerful than outlaw weapons. Also outlaw heavy guns barely do more damage than shotguns of the same upgrade level and the heavy gunner perk is increased in increments of 5% instead of 10% like the ranged weapons perk for some reason. Heavy guns in general need a buff, rocket launchers suck. My maxed out heavy crossbow with explosive bolts has higher DPS and stagger potential than my maxed out rocket launcher.

Axes and swords are also made of iron

I use both nerd. Rocket launchers, crossbows, and shotguns use the same stats to equip as outlaw melee weapons.

My maxed out bleeding chain sword is great but sometimes you just want to nuke something with rockets.

Not when plasma guns and flamethrowers exist they don't. You can lock down any group of enemies with either of these easily and do tons of damage with ranged perks and the cleric buff.

Once you get access to ranged weapons that stagger and knock down enemies, that favoritism does a HARD 180.

fully upgraded warbow with scatter shot kills the biggest enemies in three hits and can clear out an entire field of smaller enemies with like two shots

Get the heavy crossbow and upgrade it, it becomes super OP. Explosive bolts stun lock anything and have reasonably high DPS. I would argue that crossbows are better than shotguns for this reason.

Does this patch fix the lack of diversity though?

Just fyi, bladed mace is a cleric weapon for enhancement purposes. If you are a zerker highest damage is the mace and as an outlaw you only get the forge wrench which sucks.

How rare are cyclops eyes? I need one to upgrade my gun and I've killed 3 cyclops with trophy hunter and haven't gotten one yet.

Need help on Main story. I heared somewhere thats its possible to finish this game without joining a faction but i cant do any missions now. I did every missions there is now. Even got the "kill 1000 monsters" achievment. Currently i am lvl 36.
Is it possible to play without joining a faction? Still stuck and there are no more missions to do.
