4k@60hz or 1440p@144hz?

4k@60hz or 1440p@144hz?

>playing games under 144hz

4k is a meme

>4k
lol

fpbp

10bit adobeRGB

100% always pick
1440 @144

it's consolefaggotry

uhh 4k is bigger right that means its better

144 Hz is great because it gets rid of screen-tearing (even without freesync). Much better than higher res.

I'm using a 34" 1080p 144hz monitor and i love how big it is but part of me kinda regrets not going for 1440p. Then again i think i ruined myself and won't be comfortable with a smaller monitor ever again.

Consolenig here, can 144hz monitors do 60hz or 24hz as well when watching kino? Or is this all solved via interpolation?

34" at 1080p does seem low.
I got a 27" I do use 1080p sometimes but it's really on edge of being blurry.
Sometimes I wish I had opted for a cheaper 1080p screen though. 1440p taxes the fuck out of my PC.

Once you go 144hz you never go back. A complete most if you play multiplayer PC games.

As for 4k. I'm an eyelet so after 720p I never saw that much of a improvement.

Why not 4k@144Hz?

>A complete most if you play multiplayer PC games.
Forget games. I can't go back to desktop usage at 60hz.
Looking at those buttery smooth mouse movements and just moving windows around is orgasmic.

1440p at 144hz will give you the best of both worlds. 4k is a meme for gaming, at least.

I've been on 1440p@144Hz for 2 years and have no regrets. Would not go back to 60Hz, ever.

That's too big for the low resolution, you see too many pixels.

1440p is already big enough

i can see pixels on my 23" 1080p sceen
34" must be horrible

120/144Hz monitors display movies (24fps) perfectly with no stutter. The same goes for 48fps, 72fps, 96fps and 120fps. At any other framerate (youtube vids at 30 or 60 fps for example), there will be stutter or irregular frametimes.

>not playing games at 8k@200hz

niga wtf are you doing? playing on console?

Thank you, user.

>200Hz
Lmao poorfag pleb detected. 240Hz 8k or fuck off.

It doesn't exist yet.

>using monitors
>not using an anal probe that sends data directly to your brain

1440@120 with antiblur

Also forgot to mention that unless you have gsync, you won't be able to set the refresh rate to 30/60Hz on most 120/144Hz monitors. Some may be able to do it, but with artifacts and image quality issues.

With gsync, you can set the refresh rate to anywhere from 30Hz to 144Hz which means you can easily set it to 60Hz when watching 30 or 60fps content for optimal frametimes.

Its pretty obvious 4k at 60 fps is a million times better than anything. 60 fps is perfect for me, and the large amount of pixels you get over 1440p is noticeable.

1440/60 because I'm poor

>not playing 16k at 400hz

Fucking plebians in this day and age

Opinion that no one ever had that used 144 hz for 500

Thanks again!
