For some reason I ended up comparing the two games(probably because I was discussing what releases I've played this year with a friend of mine) and I guess I realized how V3 doesn't have the two main issues with P5?

Like V3 probably has my favorite cast out of the DR games and then when I thought about P5 I realize I either disliked or had almost no opinion on the cast of the game. I wanted to play more after V3 was over, but when I finished P5 I felt like I was glad it was finally over, it's too long.

I suppose it caused me to look at P5 more critically.

Worst character in DR1 was probably... Ishimaru? He was incredibly vapid, and his entire little arc lacked any meat. I couldn't get invested in it or him.
