Yup

No

Do you hear them? In the distance, user. Listen carefully.

You can hear them reeeeeeeing, the morrowfags.

Maybe

skyrim>>oblivion

sorry we prefer substance over grafix

As long as you aren't stupid and don't just add every mod from the Nexus. I can get on fine with Unique Landscapes and Maskar's

Yeah, no. Oblivion doesn't have nearly as many sex mods.

And there's the degenerate who faps to creepy uncanny valley dolls.

>substance
>unironically using dice roll combat in a game with first person style action
>NPCs stand around doing absolutely nothing, even the first Gothic had NPC schedules and they'd react to things around them
>absolutely zero world interaction unless the player is directly involved
>enter tavern, can't even sit on a chair

Sure is great senpai, nothing to do with nostalgia at all

Best of 0s is still 0.

Your game is shit.
Just like every single open world game by Bethesda, be it any of the TES or Fallouts.

you forgot to add
>still better than oblivion

Best soundtrack too.

Maximum comfy.

What mods would you recommend my friend? I've been wanting to replay oblivion for a few months now but never took the time to look at the mods.

>mfw playing Oblivion with Better Cities, Unique Landscapes, and HESU land mods

Even modern games have yet to match this level of land detail.

Morrowind is the better RPG, and Oblivion can be argued as being the better action game. What the fuck is still left to debate.

Best fantasy game soundtrack to this day imo.

Although, morrowind and skyrim had fantastic soundtracks as well. Morrowind has the best main theme tune imo, oblivion best overall.

...

How am I even supposed to mod oblivion, I can install 2k textures and enbs on skyrim and it runs fine, I install a few mods on oblivion and the fps goes to shit immediately, is there a way to improve the graphics without ruining performance?

Morrowind had the best main quest and all but oblivion had so much content that was also high quality that its the best no matter how you look at it. Morrowind has quality, skyrim has quantity, oblivion has both

*teleports behind you*
pssh... nothing personnel, kid
*miss*

kek

Yes and no. Oblivion's engine is too dated and comepletely unoptomized for any modern hardware. If you're to mod Oblivion, and want to play at 60 fps, you can basically only have graphics mods and a some really basic shit.

If you're okay with playing at 30 to 45 fps, you can have most mods and graphics mods. A lot of it going to depend on your cpu. But no matter what, some areas will see a hit in performance no matter what you do, such as the waterfront district.

Id honestly recommend 1k textures over 2k. It's not that huge of a difference, and it'll help your system if you run things like better cities and the like.

I-is this a good list to get a better looking game? I followed it last night while I was modding and it looks pretty decent. Characters look great even, while still looking how they should.

Its a good list if all you're after is mostly graphics. It has most of the best texture packs linked. (There's a Russian overhauls that are arguably better, but either hard to get to, or don't actually blend well with other texture packs) Also, some people will claim the japs have the best overhauls located on obscure blogs, but they lie. The Japanese are notoriously shit at texturing. (They can make some unique mods however, see HESU)

However, if you want things like Better Cities, Unique Landscapes, and HESU mods (change the game world comepletely) you're better off following Frostys list. Also located on the nexus. It's not as graphic intensive, but you'll be able to run the best of Oblivion modding has to offer.

There's a huge overlap between lists, but bevi has ENB, and frosty don't. Personally I used both, but I'm okay with playing at 30fps instead of 60.

That's not how you type morrowind

Just finished following that list a couple of days ago. Will dump some screenshots for you.

...

pffff thats not skyrim. oblivion still looks like shit even compared daggerfall

just wait until anons complain about something fixed by mods

...

...

jesus, it's perfect

It's comfy as fuck.

>also known as fill the screen with shit so you can pretend it looks good

Oblivion quest mods were something, Skyrim can't match it, mostly because people refuse to play any mod without voice acting

...

Oblivion has to be the most unstable game I've ever played

>also known as fill the screen with shit so you can pretend it looks good
Give me something else to screenshot then and i'll fire up the game now

...

...

...

We'll need a oblivion landscapes, comfy as fuck.

Yes

(thread)

Daggerfall will always be the best Elder Scrolls. Perfectly captured the feeling of mystery and adventure.

Any particular areas you would like to see?

Skyrim has smithing and is the standard RPG gameplay with TK Dodge.

The map is pretty average, but yeah I like th cities and quests.
The combat wasnt so bad too.

What's that naked bitch doing in there??

Just mix.

Alright, im trying to get some more good shots.

Sometimes if you walk into peoples houses they'll just be chillin while naked. They sometimes show up in dungeons too.

...

smithing is a bad thing you dumb faggot

Bruma

Bruma coming up

...

It started snowing

Give me a sunset over anvil with the docks and coastline you helpful cunt

holy shit thats looks better than i expected. thanks

What mods user

maximum overcomfy lad

Sunset over anvil coming up

Check out Bevilex' modlist

OMW south of anvil, hope i dont miss the sunset

Are you alt-tabbing or you literally snapping a few shots, exiting the game completely, posting and booting up again?

Atl tabbing usually fucks my shit up with Oblivion.

Had to wait a day but it still wasn't perfect.

Yeah, just make sure you run it in a borderless window through the oblivion.ini file

...

what mods do I need for the landscape to not look barren as shit because of there being like three trees per square mile?

Maybe this is better? I'm not sure. Some floating tree fucking with me in the distance. Any other locations?

I want to replay it but installing all the mods is a pain in the ass. Still, I have to say, modded Oblivion is the best gaming experience I've ever had.

This is the first time I am hearing about this HESU mod. How is the compatibility with Better cities and Unique landscapes? Any issues?

The orange glow around anvil on a sunset is just the best, try some other angles?

It's not called "the golden coast" for no reason. If I had to pick a TES location to live in, it would be there.

Use Unique Landscapes. Theres a compilation of all of them up on the Nexus.

I'll try to get around to the other side or something.

Got two good ones just as the sun was setting.

>Dem thick arms

She could rip your dick off

Also how does your chorrol look? It's a comfy town

What's next?

How come modded Skyrim can't match modded Oblivion in terms on comfiness? Isn't the mod community much bigger now?

Hahahahahahaha Oblivion is garbage modded or not

It's just the setting.

Oblivion was generic, but damn even vanilla had a warm, comfy feel

It's a foggy night in Chorrol

...

More like this from the players POV please, it's better than flying imo :3

I meant

Ok, i'll try.
This one is also from player perspective

>tfw your I.Q is too low to figure out modding.

Aaaaaa I just want a comfy experience with modern graphics. I couldn't even figure out how to mod falloutNV or fallout 3. I use Windows 10 and I heard that might make it harder.

Oblivion had the nicest night sky's, it's so calming when you're out in the wilderness and just look up

...

It's actually pretty simple if you use Wrye Bash

I love the fact that you can see out while inside. Especially when it's raining.

these:
but download the Unique Landscapes separately. A few of them are old, outdated, and amatuerishly designed. The Hesu mods are most good however.

>Install Oblivion
>realise i can't possibly play vanillla
>start installing modes
>Spend all saturday installing mods
>install 300% game's original size in mods
>brace for impact
>load up
>shit is fucked
>quit
>delete
>Do this every year or so

I'd argue that Skyrim's soundtrack was subpar compared to Oblivion and Morrowind, while it had great atmospheric music, it felt like Jeremy Soulewas muted and only shined through on a few of the pieces.

How about some Leyawiin?
Any other suggestions?

Its easy to get wrong. It's also a pain in the ass to check everything and make sure everything is compatible. Took me 20 hours to get my game right, and sometimes I still get a random CTD. But it happens pretty rarely.

>spend the better part of a week modding Oblivion and making sure everything works
>it does, and it looks fucking amazing
>the week after that my GPU updates
>my ENB doesn't work anymore
>afraid to touch anything
I guess i'll just go without. Fucking modding Oblivion is like open heart surgery.

...

For sale. Would you move in?
