Just read through the comments section. It's kinda laughable how wrong people were prior to the launch of the Switch, about how much of a success the Switch would be.

>+++++ many times. The switch is going to be cool, but it doesn’t compete with console gaming by any stretch based on power, and it competes with mobile gaming even less based on convenience. People use their smartphones for a reason. The fact that it’s always with you is number one, but in addition, because it’s small and can usually be operated with one hand. Can you imagine being on a crowded morning or evening train and pulling the switch out, playing with two hands? If you get a seat, sure, but in my my nearly 10 years riding a train to and from work, good luck with that.

>The one thing switch has is the fact that it’s Nintendo, and we all love Nintendo games, but that’s the one thing… it has little third party support, which has been the failing of multiple Nintendo consoles in the past. I will probably love my Nintendo Switch that I buy for only Nintendo games, but not at $300, and not when the only game I’m even mildly interested in will be nearly the same game on my Wii U. I was burnt by that system, I think I’ve finally learned my lesson.

I don't get the whole 3rd party support meme. You can check out the developer support sections for nintendo, xbox, and sony. Nintendo is the objectively easiest one to port/publish your games on.

>but that’s the one thing… it has little third party support, which has been the failing of multiple Nintendo consoles in the past.

But he’s right though. This shit has barely any third party support, just like the Wii U. The only difference is that Nintendo is actually advertising it.

yeah! games like payday 2 on the switch are gonna be EPIC!

I never base my decisions off of what people on the internet say anyways.

>But he’s right though. This shit has barely any third party support, just like the Wii U. The only difference is that Nintendo is actually advertising it.

Ummm.

at no point did I imply that flashy AAA graphics were easier to get running on the switch. but there is way more to gaming than fps/tps realistic walking simulators.

theres also way more to gaming than collect-a-thons and BING BANG WAHOO simulators.
try again.

youre more laughable than they are. they were making predictions and speculating

youre evaluating the console after it's been out for less than a year

>collect-a-thons
all one of them

>Many people don’t want or need to play games on the go. For those, the Switch is a horribly underpowered home console with much worse versions of popular multiplatform games and marquee nintendo games that are steadily losing appeal.

>how much of a success the Switch would be

5 million units compared to PS4's 60 million +. If Nintendo wants it to be successful, they better oversell PS4 and they still got a long ways.

It hasn't even been a year yet. How long has the PS4 been out? 4 years?

Yes 4 years.

Yeah so the switch has plenty of time to catch up

>"switch is a huge success!"
>still hasn't surpassed the embarrassing sales numbers of the piiu

piiu sold almost nothing and switch still isn't there.

>8 months compared to 5 years

>5 years of near nonexistant sales numbers

The Switch didn't sell 60mil units in a year? Holy shit, Nintendoomed!

>Nintendo #1 in hardware sales last gen and current gen
>Nintendo #1 in software sold this quarter
>Switch is a success and people are mad
Loving this timeline

What kinds of games do you like?

PC + whatever Nintendo has out will always be the best combo. Yeah the WiiU sucked but even that had its few very good games.
