What a trash game.
This is worse than MOBAs.
At least in MOBAs you can play casual and have some time to experiment with your abilities in lane and see how all your skills are working on your allies and enemies.
In this one you are just thrown in to get owned repeatedly because it obviously takes ages to get used to the abilites of your character since they are all available right from the start in matches that take 1-2 minutes.
And no, im not gonna play practice mode cause im not wasting time "practicing". Im not here to win championships, im here to have fun as are most players. If I practice ill go study something or get into a competitive sport.
For a game trying to position itself as a mass appeal game its really bad at allowing people to have fun while learning.
I wont even mention that you literally wait longer for a game than the time you spend actually playing.
WHY IS THAT????
DID NOBODY IN THE BETA TELL THEM THAT A GAME IS TAKING 2 MINUTES AND THE OVERALL TIME BETWEEN GAMES IS LONGER???
AND WHY IS THERE SO MUCH PAUSE BETWEEN EACH INDIVIDUAL ROUND??? JUST LET ME FUCKING PLAY THE GAME.

Even if this game WAS noob friendly, not many could stand the constant wait and countdowns for rounds that are over in an instant.
At least in fighting games they are smart about starting over quickly after a round is over.

Its just an immediate uninstall for me. I can play League, I can play DOTA, hell I can go play some fighting game. There is way too much selection of nice games of a similar type for such a bad and infuriating experience.
I guess they didnt learn from their previous failed game.

The biggest problem with this game is that it's just so fucking samey after a while.

In other games all the laning and so on makes for varied games all the time, here it's just the same thing over and over. You can't even "farm up" an advantage to help overcome bad team mates

Like SC2 for exmaple is competitive but it also had an extensive campaign to get people acquainted and to allow non uber competitive players to have fun...

In terms of games similar to this one I would have to say League.
It hit the right spot between the autismus maximus of the last hitting in DOTA 2 and some sort of uber casual shiet.

RTS: TA, Supcom, SPring RTS.
Before you tell me I need to practice a lot to play those I will tell you that In all of these games You can play in large team games that can take an hour + to finish, allowing you to slowly get acquainted with the mutliplayer experience while not having to carry the game on your shoulders.

roguelikes: Caves of qud, Tales of majeyal, Dungeon crawl stone soup, DF to some extent although I wouldnt say its in a state that would allow me to call it a good GAME, Its a great fantasy simulation thats for sure.

In temrs of RPG's the latest I enjoyed a lot and felt was fresh was Age of decadence.

ARPG? Grim Dawn. Cant stand the autism simulator that is POE(a literal build simulator that looks like a burnt turd and has such a shit story I cant remember it after playing for at least 100 hours) and the casual for babies atmopshere and world in D3.

Anyway, Single player games are a whole other thing.
In first person shooters there is usually enough reliance on the basic ability to aim with your mouse that you can have fun even if you just started and arent too familiar with a specific chose game in the genre.
