Gen 1 was a buggy mess that's only forgiven because it had the first games in the series and nostalgia. Gen 2 was a bit better, but it's still pants on head retarded with the physical/special split.

USUM deffo seems more worthwhile to people who haven't played Sun. Whether you like or dislike the amount of cutscenes, it does make it a lot harder to play through again but if it's all new to you you might enjoy it and for what it's worth I do think it's the most enjoyable story Pokemon has had.

Pokemon is SMT-lite. Last Bible predates it on the Game Boy by years.
