Suck my shit faggot
This is a blue themed Christian image board user, also shit is gross.
Both are good games, but when it comes to gameplay, Terraria is the better one hands down.
Also post pics of your main base/house.
starbound could have been so good
but nope lets remove all planets and npc variety and add unique ones like dumbos
Terraria has better gameplay, Starraria has nicer building
Terraria 2 when?
Starbounds gameplay is kinda shit among other things though.
Starbound has better mods. Terraria is the better base game
>Starbound has better mods
Like what?
>inb4 FU
Terraria is more fun thanks to more RPG elements with gear. Starbound is better for building in my opinion.
Mods that add more instruments
I thought starbound is universally considered shit? Was there a new update or something now that it isn't dismissed on sight?
Starbound is shit
That sounds kinda shit tbqhwuf.
And vehicles, and races, and world generation changes, and shops, and entire cities and functional systems for custom races such as secondary currency collection for rewards, and hundreds of items, and new gameplay elements and challenges.
Yeah I mean, I guess Starbound ONLY has instrument mods.
Thanks you too
playing starbound is like throwing pebbles at a brick wall to destroy it
Starbound has lewd mods
Is that you Tiy?
Well the newest update was 1.3 and it added mechs, space stations, the abbility to deploy a station yourself and updated the galaxy map to look better.
Also here is my unfinished staround building, because why not?
Chucklefucks ruined everything tbqh
>inb4 FU
>d-don't mentions the essential gameplay changing experience either!
race mods, hundreds of QOL mods, world gen, combat, aesthetic out the fucking asshole
Joke question? Starbound is an awful game
Starbound looks a lot better but Terraria plays better
Modding terraria is a bitch. Starbound has quite a bit more thanks to ease of access. So naturally it has better mods.
Not that guy but FU is fucking shit. Far too much bloat, shitty sprites and boneheaded design decisions.
I made one of the first mods that added functionality to EPPs and I wouldn't stop getting faggots that asked me to make it compatible with FU because THEIR shit was retarded and made no sense. Fuck them.
I looked on Nexus one time and apparently most of them got taken down?

After Terraria Otherworld
Both are good, I just wish Starbound would give us more reasons to explore a planet and basebuild other than "build a colony and leave"
This
We can explore planets and colonize them but it's always the same thing in a different biome.
it's almost 2018, where is the game?
Since Stsrboubd is suppose to be the future why are the main weapons swords and spears? They should have did something like Borderlands with guns extravaganza, different company manufacturers with different properties. But what do you expect from a bunch of fags who've never seen a gun in real life.
go to Loverslab
>modding terraria is a bitch
>tapi is literally praised for being great to work with and extends to every aspect
>tmodloader has a modbrowser that lets you download and install mods from within terarria also updates and dependancies are marked
>can create modpacks or let people that join your server automatically download the right mods either from the modbrowser or from your server to ensure parity
sure
Never ever.
What the fuck is that? I'm reminded the "enemies" of Starbound are fucking jokes.
>main weapons swords and spears
Nigga you do realize there's plenty of different guns available too, right?
Hell, I think Novakid's can only craft guns (Unless you count the hunting bow, which is more of a tool) as weaponry.
>Chucklefuck
>implying they can into anything
Kek, somebody post that laughable "lore" image to why hylotl are fish. They're so fucking clueless and stupid they don't understand basic biology.
Terraria for building shit.
Starbound for erp servers and breeding florins
That's what a juvenile Poptop looks like.
Pic related is an adult.
It's established that they have advanced tech, and have been living underwater for generations.
Yet the idea of them adapting to being underwater is laughable?
They don't even breathe water, they're just slightly more well adapted to it than they were on the surface.
For all we know that could mean they used to be land based amphibians that adapted to being in water more.
Not to mention, starbound is a silly game, expecting it to be 100% reasonable and realistic all the time is a little laughable.
Yeah little shit peashooters that do fuck all and you gotta wait for the fucking energy bar to recharge. What dipshit decided to keep this system in? No I'm talking abut actual guns with gun variety. You know repeater pistols, assault rifles, semi-autos, shotguns, smg's, snipers, revolvers and rockets.
...
starbounder.org
>Grenade Launchers, Machine Pistols, Pistols, Assault Rifles, Rocket Launchers, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles
pls work on better bait
Starbound gets a lot of hate because the devs promised a bunch of shit and didn't deliver. In reality the game is "Alright" if you judge it by itself.
"Adapting" by living underwater isn't possible you fucking pillock, if humans were to live in some place like Europa in biospheres very similar to these hylotl cities we wouldn't magically grow webbed feet, scales and gills because we'd be using technology to survive. The only very miniscule change would be poor eyesight that is if we don't have artificial sun lamps. There needs to be a drastic change for a creature to start changing themselves ergo mutations or outside factors. Supermutants of Fallout go from humans to hideous green monsters from FEV that forcefully corrected their double helix and human genetics making them evolve in a horribly perfect fasion. Falmer from Elder Scrolls were fed toxic fungus that took their generations eyesight while living in subterranian caves and in slave conditions. A thousand years and generations of this they devolved into blind cave monsters.
Starbound's got the advantage regarding cosmetic building, but otherwise Terraria shits on it.
>an alien creature having strange abilities is unbelievable
>them altering their own genes to be more well adapted to their environment is unbelievable
>a species of fish people with an outlandish backstory in a game where every planet that isn't a gas planet or has no atmosphere has life, there's biomes made of eyeballs, and sentient star people is unbelievable
pls
Tiy if your going to go the Pete Hines route of saying "DUUUR VIDEOGAMES" at least make it more sensible.
>conveniently leaves out that literally every ranged weapon draws from the same ammo pool
>also forgets that said ammo supply is also what powers techs
I did, you just don't want to admit you're being an idiot.
Are you going to shit on Terraria for having magic?
I just on't get why fish people are the breaking point for you.
>hurr durr I should be able to use ranged weaponry infinitely with no downsides
git gud boi
Terraria having magic is fine because it's a fantasy game, having something evolve just because from the scenario I just described with no outside factors or mutations is fucking retarded. Go back to 9th grade Living Environment Tiy you fucking mouth breathing retard.
Wow, I forgot how much better Starbound's character sprites are.
Largely because Starbound has workshop support and Terraria doesn't.
Starbound sucks. All planets of the same type are nearly the exact same. All dungeons/villages have the same layout no matter what planet they're on. The underground is the same for every planet type.
>silly stuff is only allowed in fantasy games because I said so REEEEEEEEEEEEE
Not every game with a sci fi theme needs to be super serious and realistic.
Terraria, by virtue of having the comfiest winter zone in vidya
Too bad building a base there means you can do fuckall during snowstorms
The whole energy bar thing is shit, but the big problem with guns is their damage is hardcoded to be tied to the rate of fire. This means you're doing fuck all for damage if you want to fire the gun more than once per second, and it also means that the secondary fire is often weak as hell as well.
Starbound if you want comfyness and exploration
Terraria if you want a game with progression and more focus on gameplay
When your game is a fucking abomination to basic science without even having proper rules and consistencies to keep it silly yet not pants on head retarded, then what you have is a fucking shit games. But keep going full Pete Hines on me Tiy, you know the usual shit you spew out.
>evidence
>[]
Vs. ?
Terraria, its just so relaxing
In what way?
This wood won't grow itself, boi
Ammo
the one with florans is better
But it's still such a shitty game
After the release update if starbound, terraria hands down. I'd rather have a bunch of shit on one map than almost nothing on 100000 maps
The game with actual content. Starbounds retarded hamfisted plot of you being the last mighty morphin' power ranger completely killed one major fun aspect of these kind of games.
Unless I missed something, those looked kind of crappy. Some zoomed in anime humping animations and only with special mod-specific characters rather than the freedom to fly around the galaxy spreading your seed from planet to planet which likely would've been enough for me to want to reinstall and try the game again.
Did what better? Besides the graphics both being pixel style, there is literally fucking nothing else in common
Terraria for Building and enemies
Starbound for exploration
Except the building department.
starboner for pure building autism
terraria for gameplay
Exploration of what? Everything is the same exept with blue, purple or yellow dirt.
A summary for both games.
> Terraria - Best for when you want action, destroying hordes of enemies and travelling the world.
> Starbound - Best for when you wanna relax and unwind, make comfy houses and have a bit of fun with vanity items and mods.
Looks nice, I reccomend doing some stuff involving background walls in the huge space at the bottom to add a bit more to the build.
...
In development hell, along with 2 and 1.3.6.
Starbound is the biggest gaming tragedy of all time.
I'll say this every thread until I die.
Starbound is bad. But it gets an unholy ammount of shit because of how much the devs convinced everyone that it was gonna be mindblowing.
And it deserves the hate desu.
