getting them out before the holidays is good. It's a very good thing, really important if they want any sales this holiday in the face of the competition being cheaper and having more content.

BUT
it's the new hulu layout, the garbage one that forces me to go through 80 fucking submenus to get to the episode before the current one i'm slated for in case I want a refresher. So it looks like again I have no reason to renew my hulu sub. They rolled that shit out on my ps4 and I immediately cancelled, full stop, called customer support and told them it's fucking garbage cancel my sub and refund me my month's payment. God damn it's infuriating. Why is everything so fucking ugly and non-streamlined.

Can't wait to see all my shows in glorious 720p! I can stream Netflix in 4k on Xbox One S.

Netflix, YouTube and Nico Nico Douga are soon coming to the Switch with no date. Hulu came out of nowhere, and Netflix was announced two months back.

Nintendo Switch has a built-in browser where you can link to Facebook, Twitter, Nintendo.com and whatever.com but you cannot access the browser from normal means. Wii U's browser was packed but had a max of like 6 tabs which constantly refresh, though swapping user agents and hiding behind proxies on foreign websites and YT videos that cannot be viewed in the US were pretty good. I'm sure they could do the same for Switch but they're blocking any proper access. There was an early Switch exploit where you could go to the YouTube site from Nintendo.com and view other sites but it's gone.

Basically you have to go to facebook login, go to a Facebook page and go to the suggestions and hope that there's Gmail, go to the link to google, open an external YouTube services through Google Translate and so on

I kinda wish I had the option to shut off the console instead of sleep mode without having to hold the button. Half of the wonky shit that occurs on the switch is fixed with a quick reset.

probably the end of all the movies the vizio app keeps cutting off. Anything over an hour thirty my tv just stops connecting to hulu and stutters loads 2 seconds plays then 5 seconds of loading repeat. Got to say it looks like shit in handheld look some 480i level bad.

More than that, the X1 can do 4k streaming at 60hz, and HDR. The chipset's original purpose was to just stream video.

wish they'd start putting that shit in tv's I have a tv capable of 4k at 120hz but it can't run any apps at that. Seems to be a common problem.

But then Samsung/LG etc would have to start making their TV's thicker again, instead of racing to see who can be the first to make a TV that's literally as thin as paper, with a fucking ribbon cable hanging down it for all your connections.

I love using the Hulu Streaming Service app on my Nintendo Switch, too!

I remember watching the green lantern trailer in 3D at launch and thinking how near it was.

They didn’t release a single fucking movie

I never used ps3 one but ps4 supports the popular containers and codecs except divx which is dying anyways.

I bought this to play video games, anyone who complained this thing didn't have any media apps is no longer allowed to complain about the industry trying to turn consoles into a cable box.

I don't want shitty apps in my console, so nothing.

there's a list of apps that are just obligatory on all mobile/entertainment related devices. They still got a ways to go on this.
