Thoughts on Skyrim?
It's shit
Not very good, don't remember anything about it
yeah
It's shilled.
No seriously we have threads thrice a day at this point. We're obviously being memed for the switch release. Fuck off Todd, no one here is buying it again.
dudebro rpg
Memes AHOY!
Good with mods.
terrible. awful quests, diabolical combat, shit world
its more of a story than a game in my opinion, but that could just be because i didn't play on expert. seems bland when i played it but thats bethesda games for you
What kind of aspie do you have to be to keep making this thread almost every hour of every day?
Great for the first few hours.
>*unsheathes*
Good with mods.
Unstable with mods.
Just makes me want to play something else instead.
The lack of alternative quest solutions and refusal to adhere to the world's own rules (No Khajit allowed in the village except you, etc.) is what makes the game shitty.
That and some questlines being complete chores. I've still never revived the Thieve's Guild.
LET IT GO!!!
undeserved game of the decade
hmm...
>nipple
MOOOOOOOOOOOODS
Thats your average skyrim player. He only plays so he can fap to 4k sex mods anyways.
Engaging enough for one play through, and then you realize how irredeemably shallow it is
OHLAWDY
Worse than Morrowind, maybe even worse than Oblivion but still an OK game. It holds up well enough with mods.
teh irony
Probably the most iconic game of the decade, that all fantasy rpgs released after it have to live up to.
No game attracted quite so many players, led to the creation of so many internet memes that stayed relevant even years after the game's release, and no other game is about to get its third release within a 7 year timeframe.
game of the decade
Not enough mob types ok game otherwise. Not a good rpg though.
>Thoughts on Skyrim?
Even the terrible writing can be made better with mods
>Probably the most iconic game of the decade
That's Minecraft.
Basically fags whole went full blown nits went the game came out, then go on here and formed a hive mind of it sucking even though they will have never actually played Morrowind or Oblivion. Sex mods are cancer. I said it.
It's an interesting game
It's easy to mod and RP. Something Bethesda forgot was a cornerstone in their RPG's when they made Fallout 4
whats the thing on the table?
Maybe among the autistic 13 year old loner crowd.
So you have no imagination? Its ok user, its ok.
You accidentally your sentence but I played oblivion and morrowind prior to skyrim. I was excited beyond belief, then the game turned out to be shitty.
A lockbox with an Eastern Empire Trading company necklace in it.
>phoneposting cunt is a skyrim fan
haha heehee hoho
I decided to install Skyrim SE after 3 years of not touching Skyrim. If I look at all the individual parts
>gameplay
>story
>voice acting
>graphics
>roleplaying
>audio
>etc
Most of them are kinda shit, music and world aside. But somehow, as a whole, I still find it addicting. I don't really get it.

When you dump gold in it the dog rapes the woman in the pen.

>Thoughts on Skyrim?
An embarrassment. Single-handedly destroyed any confidence I could have in Bethesda so now I avoid all of their future titles, like Fallout 4 and who knows what else I don't know about.
its like Elex but with no gameplay, no story, and shit music.
Shit, it's unstable WITHOUT mods. Fucking Oldrim will actually crash without warning given enough time.
Pretty much. By the time I was wrapping up the Dragonborn DLC this was the conclusion that kept being reinforced. The premise of the game and its concept are not enough for a game of this size. Not only that, Bethesda is not talented enough to pull that off.
You mean after you went batshit with your friends and binge played it, got bored and discovered mods, then binge played it again, and when all the furry gay sex mods in all of nexus were not enough you went on the anime cancer sharing site and said it sucked?
unironically this
So exactly like Elex.
stop shilling for this piece of shit that doesn't even have proper animations
thank you
Thoughts on my dark elf Sup Forums?
That's not skyrim! This is:
doesn't look very dark at all
Mediocre game that can be a decent timewaster thanks to mods
And for some reason, its regarded as a 10/10 game by casuals
who the fuck wants to play morroshit or shitblivion when we've a superior game?
bigger handcrafted openworld
more quests, factions, dlc
better graphics
mod community like no other
>me on the right
Does anyone play Skyrim anymore besides using mods for masturbatory material?
learn to read todd
Skyrim is casual bait. Despite how shallow and uninteresting it is, they find enjoyment and satisfaction from the character progression and "radiant" quests. They don't care if every dungeon is a hallway full of draugr, and that every quests ultimately is that. They don't care that the story and characters suck. They don't care about the level scaling. They start the game up, hop on their stealth archer and get a randomly generated quest to kill some randomly generated enemies an a giant tube, then collect some randomly generated loot at the end (going through the secret shortcut of course).
Who /no nudity, sex, or female body mods/ here?
Most entertaining about this game is downloading mods and making it do all sorts of weird shit.
Main quest? Short and ass, Alduin fight is just another generic dragon
Civil War? The exact same fucking fort battle repeated 9 times with a flaccid conclusion.
Open World? It's as if someone killed 90% of the lifeforms in Skyrim, it's empty as fuck.
Music? Main theme and Sovngarde (just a reprise of the main theme. The rest? I can't remember it, and that's not a good thing.
Graphics? There's a reason why only heavily modded screens of this game are posted.
Gameplay? Melee combat lacks feedback entirely, ranged combat is insanely broken and enemy AI is dumber than potatoes.
I remember hearing Todd say you could burn down the woodmill in the starter town and it would change the economy of the town. I thought that sounded so cool that it convinced me to buy the game and it was the first thing I tried to do when I bought it. After a couple of hours of trying and failing I moved on but I was always keeping in the back of my mind how you might go about ruinig that business. Then I did a lot of what the game had to offer, not being too impressed by any of it, and I realized you can't burn down the woodmill. I was very disappointed.
Can I just say the elves in the TES universe look hideous? They have completely fucked up faces and skin tones.
Good job making her look presentable. Unfortunately there's a rapist behind her.
played it on the xbox 360 back in the day, so no mods for me until i got the pc version one day
enjoyed it in its pure, unmodded state quite a lot
>newfag presents himself
You are truly sad and delusional, are you from reddit? You can't possibly fathom that skyrim is a garbage role playing game, with garbage story, characters and combat? After gutting even more systems from prior elder scrolls games?
I prefer Fallout 4's characters
me too
This guy knows whats up. You don't need sex mods for skyrim to be a good game.

I have a serious question. Has anyone made a modpack or do you know of list of mods that revamps everything for roleplay purposes? I love Fallout 4 for its world and gunplay but I can't fully into the game anymore if my character is always ex-soldier looking for son.
when you think in terms or quantity and quality no other game really matches it but when you realize that you have been playing for 50 hours and you barely scratched the surface of the game, its just amazing.
There are fuckloads of alternate start mods. One even gets rid of all Shaun related dialogue if you pick to not be the Sole Survivor.
I believe it's the best game EVER CREATED
I've already played through on Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
I cant wait for the Nintendo Switch version to complete my collection!
You are truly intelligent and smart, are you from twitter? You surely go along with mass thought like the sheep you are. Maybe one day when you have an independent thought you will short curcuit and die because of your preprogramed robot nature.
PS get fucked and find a *Sup Forums perfect APPROVED* game and lick your own asshole for that is all that you need in your life.
Skyrim is pretty much the de facto open world game. You spend ages tweaking your high fantasy character to autistic perfection then spend hundreds of hours fucking around with no enemies even pretending to pose any sort of threat to you. I don't know if it's a good game per se, but it's mind numbing fun
Shit like this disgusts me
Where's the Hate Newspapers option?
Skyrim's advantages over Oblivion:
- Enemies don't scale as much, so you don't have random bandits running around with the best gear in the game.
- The NPC AI and dialogue isn't as terrible
- Far better dungeons and more interesting setting/overworld
Skyrim's advantages over Morrowind:
- Has fast traveling
- Attacks contacting aren't based on dice rolls, so every attack will at least make contact
Skyrim's advantages over Daggerfall:
- Less reliance on computer generated content, so it feels a bit more like a real world
Skyrim's advantages over Arena:
- Pretty much everything. Arena aged even worse than Morrowind.
I thought that dialogue with those npc's that just walk up to you give you the ability to just walk away.
>nice of Todd Howard to invite over to play his game eh Luigi?
>I hope he made lotsa player choices
What makes Skyrim very good is because it captures on of the most basic essences of a RPG, and that it is allowing the player to totally role play the player character in how ever you choose. There are very few games that let you create a character, then set you free in the worldto do whatever. You want to be the best theif in Skyrim, take off for Riften, join the guild, and ignore the main quest. Live as a hermit hunter in the woods, you can do that too. This game does not limit you in your role play options, because there is no pressing need to chase the main quest.
Was fun when it came out, and then I had some fun playing around with it again after a few years had passed on the pc with mods. It has it's pros and cons but the only reason why it still gets discussed about today is because no other company tries to make a game of this size and customization, and Bethesda re-releasing it now and again.
>fast traveling a advantage
>modding skyrim into a sex sim
>without visual enhancements
It looks terrible, how can you get off to this?
this is what I generally hear:
>"Skyrim is too dumbed down because it had no classes or stats".
Not only was the previous stats and major/minor skills system poorly implemented and backwards, the perk system is cause for MANY more build decisions that are actually relevant to gameplay.
>"Skyrim NPCs are dumbed down because there are far fewer conversation options".
Right, unlike Morrowind with dozens of options resulting in mostly copy pasted responses with minor tweaks and 90% of NPCs had no defining personality traits at all.
>"But, but, the rich and meaningful disposition systems!"
You mean the extremely generic "check" that sometimes replaces conversations with "I don't want to talk about that with you".
The only detail I can give a win to is guild progression. Morrowind had the good sense for stat/skill based progression and Oblivion had some decent plots and plot based progression.
Skyrim sucks in that regard.
...
Morrowind had fast traveling didn't it? You just had to pay for a Silt Strider
refined the gameplay to playable levels. threw almost all the RPG into the trash. F4 solidified that bethesda doesn't want to do real RPGs anymore. so yeah
But that's too complicated for casuals like
overhyped shit you have to mod to actually enjoy playing
Since 2011, I have adventured through the ravishing landscape of Skyrim and in between the obsession and breaks, I have not once be inclined to purchase a beefy computer to experience the modding community. Even without and five years later, there has yet to be a time I didn't deem this game an absolute masterpiece and didn't enjoy immersing myself as the countless stealth archers, pure-mage-turned-stealth-archer, holy-paladin-eventually-picked-up-a-bow-to-help-with-dragons-turned-stealth-archer, and vampire-lord-blood-warlock-that-somehow-turned-stealth-archer-even-with-conscious-effort-not-too.
Truthfully, it has been the only game to continue to hold my interest in a death grip and motivate me to experience and explore all of its lore and content. I am actually intimidated by the modding community because I can't even begin to comprehend that my fellow skyrim fanatics have taken an already fucking explosion off ecstasy and turned it into absolute atomic bomb of forever enlightment.
If an entire community of gamers can take five years of their lives to not only improve one single game and never bore of it, but to stay passionate about it's experience, regardless of its age, I count that as perfection in its finest form.
Nice of House Dagoth to invite us over to the apotheosis Gay Luigi?
kek
Perfect game for my degenerate fantasies
what mod?
THIS
THIS
THIS
Hollywood mod when?
...
>not "an" advantage
FTFY
>Not only was the previous stats and major/minor skills system poorly implemented and backwards, the perk system is cause for MANY more build decisions that are actually relevant to gameplay.
then replace it with a good system instead of removing all stats. why not have skills, perks AND stats like most other decent RPGs?
