The hype wore off. Now people can see that the cast was weak as hell and the script was shit. Even the improved gameplay and enjoyable setting can't make up for tiresome dialogue and shallow charatcers that don't play off each other well at all.

A lot of people replayed it expecting to relive the same joy they had when they played it the first time, but obviously if it wasn't as enjoyable.

It's new, and people shit on what's new, just like how P4 was shit on all the time but now it gets a lot more praise that P5's out, people have been looking forward to it for a long time and they may have been expecting it to be absolutely amazing and it just didn't live up to that, contrarians don't like it because it's popular, you can see that in all the people acting like 3 and 4 were really niche and how dumb normies can't appreciate them, and then there's just the game having some issues that some people don't like, and for good reason. I'd say the novelty of the calendar system and whatnot has also worn out for a lot of people at this point. It's not hated though, plenty of people think it's great, but everything gets shit on to some degree by Sup Forums.

The entire presentation is Visual novel like, so if you dont like that it sucks, And while it does let you directly control your party members, it doesn't rebalance the game for it, so its pretty easy.

Upsides are the direct control makes the game less frustrating, and FeMC is best MC.

Id say its pretty good, I prefer the Original though.

P5 is still a good game, but not as good as Sup Forums makes it out to be

P5 sucks because it was even more of a retread of P4 than P4 was of P3

It's good but its too long and theres way too much pointless dialogue. I know its a jrpg but it was way too much meaningless text. In the last 1/4 of the game i just skipped through everything that wasn't directly related to the main storyline
