Animal Crossing is a EAD series. All the guest characters are EAD made and EAD makes Mario Kart. Any characters that aren't from Nintendo themselves they basically have to get permission from HAL, etc and work with them, while EAD created characters be less hassle.

I was disappointed there was no E. Gadd in Odyssey, he really needs an on screen presence in a main line game, he's been around for what, 15 years now and still he's only had a passing mention in Sunshine.

They have a unique weight class that gets drift turbos the quickest out of any, which is really good if you know how to abuse it. The only non-baby character who has that weight class is Lemmy.

I'd consider getting it second hand if you're really worried about money and it not being your cup of tea or being worried about Ubisoft shenanigans, but if not, the devs still deserve their money's worth for what they've accomplished. Current DLC isn't even all that necessary, only if you're a complete looney for hard challenges. We still don't know nothing about the upcoming story one so.
