First RPG I've played
...
...
GSASINRI
Fuck, this game was awesome.
Fuck i'm old.
...
>Fighting Force
>Obscure
I know a ton of people who played this. I have it installed on my PS3 because I still play it with a friend from time to time.
Mother fucking yes.
These threads are full of games that were common as fuck at the time.
Not that obscure, but still
go and play the sega genesis games of streets of rage instead of that shit please. Im telling you this as a nintendo fanboy.
I wonder if they ever got sued for lifting that Hawkmen theme from the Flash Gordon movie.
You can say whatever the hell you want but this shit was honestly better than Twisted Metal and had a shit load of potential to be a great series. It's a shame there wasn't a follow up game because I loved the shit out of it when I was a kid.
This wasn't obscure, I remember seeing figures of the cast in what used to be Funcoland.
It did well enough for a sequel also.
i think it's just one of those games many played but wasn't "revolutionary" "ten outta ten" hyped.
I always thought about how health sammiches were silly
God damn I remember this, I played the fuck out of it as a kid. Pretty fun, being able to use some environmental objects as weapons was pretty awesome to me at the time.l
I fucking loved these.
Pic related was also pretty amazing for me.
Fighting Force was way too short, I remember it taking like an hour from start to finish.
It's like a classic arcade game, part of the fun is replaying and choosing different routes.
Man, every time I see this 90s art style I got fucking sad... I miss my childhood
it was a neat game.
I remember it having some replay value since you could follow through different routes that leadd into new areas.
Nothing too crazy tho.
Yeah. It's really nostalgic
Still one of the most innovative RPGs ever. Game was fucking godlike. It was like an RPG fighting game.
I used to play the shit out of that game, but the fighting system athough original, wasn't THAT fun after a while
Great game, nevertheless
Fun fact: it was originally going to be a streets of rage game.
I loved this game, but as said, after a few hours you'd just end up spamming the same 2 moves (not that you don't do that in every other RPG though)
The sequel was pretty cool too, but the problem was even worse. Once you got the combo moves, they would do a fuckload of damage and trivialise almost any fight.
Top tier comfy starting town music too: youtube.com

I feel old.
...
...
...
Took long enough for someone to post porn.
This game was just too fucking hard but very immersive and graphically impressive for its time. A cinematic meme that had actual depth to it.
...
One of my favorite games ever. But they were never able to recreate the feel of double dragon and final fight in 3D, but you got a bunch of interesting attempts like fighting force, gekido, urban reign, the bouncer and beatdown.
Bros.....BROS!! Don't you dare say you didn't play this, DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT OR IT'LL KICK YOUR ASS!!
...
...
I remember having kids in the neighborhood come over and play this. BUt everyone wanted to play Tekken after a few turns.
That was a cool ass game.
>rotate the level to kill your opponents or the bomb strapped to your chest goes off, here's your bike helmet
>british soldier on the US cover
>US soldier on the european cover
>Halo:CE was released 16 years ago
THIS. FUCKING. GAME.
Aww hell yeah nigger.
This is the only playstation one game I still have in with the box and manual.
I played the fuck out of Blast Chambers on the demo disk.
>obscure
Literally in every fuck8ng store
For elementary school it was Nightfire and Animal Crossing. Obscure in the sense I didn't know anyone that played them
Poor man's 1080, but I don't care.
...
You can't fool me, that's Haunting Ground. But you're right.
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT
>mfw my younger brother acidentally discovers that you can capture monsters in your ra-seru while i'm not looking
...
HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE GREATEST INTRODUCTION LEVELS IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!
It's doesn't matter if the rest of the game is shit, that first level literally got you hooked like a freaking drug addict.
Monster Seed
Azure dreams (The Gameboy Color version)
Point Blank 1-3
Plok
So many good memories
...
my nignog
Shit i almost cired when i saw this pic, the memories man.
Me and my friend used to play this shit for hours and hours, we were 2 dumb kids who couldnt beat level 2, but damn it was fun.
Why hasn't their been any pirate game that is as good and fun as this game? Is the pirate genre really dead or do people find pirate themes boring?
...
...
This game was too goddamn repetitive. It was like three or four lame minigames repeated forever.
Great game.
Fun fact: Shaolin Style was originally supposed to be Thrill Kill.
...
i fucking loved that game, made me feel that i was the only one good enough for it
tried playing the sequel but it was way too different, stll miss all those btu tho
hell yeah i loved this game. corridor 7 was cool too
Anyone?
Holy fuck I remember this, beat this with my friend in like a day.
...
...
what an awesome game. I got this game in 1st grade when a friend of mine gave it to me as payment for chasing girls around at recess
Great soundtrack
This game is my blue whale, I have never been able to beat it in more than 20 years
...
I remember this being great but very hard.
Nightshade maybe but i wouldn't call Shinobi obscure.
My fucking niggas.
Everyone else can go fuck off
Some of the most fun I've had playing co-op
>hiding in a ditch from a tank praying for your medic to come help as a dust storm envelops the village
>Fighting Force
>Obscure
Literally the Dark Souls of SNES
i remember borrowing this and crystalis from my friend when i was a kid. great games
...
these defined me
I’m disappointed.
I don't remember the name.
It was a Sega Master System game where you can be both a tank/starship and a girl. I don't remember if you can actually get out from the veichles or trasform into them.
It was a sort of action rpg with platforming and shooter phases. Way haed of it's times. Amazing game.
I also played shit ton of Paper Boy in the Master System. Fuck the Nes.
Guess what
Hideki Itsuno, the producer for DMC3/4 and Dragon's Dogma is pushing for Capcom to allow him to make another Rival Schools game. He even said he already has the story and everything, he just needs the greenlight from Capcom
AND....
He's going to announce a new project that he's been working on for 2 years now at PSX in December.
Many believe it's DMC5 though.
Hope for a sequel = 0
It's made by Konami.
>Vigilante 8
>Obscure
>goldberg
>on the Thunder cover
lol
Goldberg wouldn't be on Thunder TV cause these were recorded on Saturday and he was "too religious" to break shabbat.
>twisted metal not the more popular one
WISH WE COULD TURN BACK TIME
By your logic Megaman is an obscure vidya character since he isn't as popular as Mario
I love time attacking this game
...
>obscure
You are like little baby.
Watch this!
The opening is 10/10
...
>Used to pretend I was Keiya.
This went on for many years till I grew out of my autism.
Sure brings back memories.
