I once marathon'd super mario bros once
Beating Spelunky is an achievement by itself, good job dude.
I've never even beat the NES game, just the All-Stars version
Yeah, that one is a bitch, I'm also proud of it. The amount of times that Olmec's ground stomp would sent a piece of gold flying my way....
i beat halo 3 on legendary while upside down once.
Probably FCing Legend Road in DDR. I still can't pass 19 or 20 foot charts but I can pass most 18s.
Hey now
I'm thankful that the very first time I made it to Olmec on my Low Scorer runs, I won. Lots of losses in the jungles and the temple but 90% of my runs ended in the mines. only one loss in the ice caves out of the hundreds.
Only had a cape and a pickaxe, and a lot of ropes. Came in to Olmec with 2 bombs and thankfully found a 12 pack in one of the boxes above. Glad I didn't have to try and fight Olmec for real, used every bomb to carve a path for him to fall down. Once tiny piece of gold was in front of the exit and I almost ran straight into it before I was able to whip it. Crazy.
>achievements
Wasn't that hard but there was a very close call in the condemned hotel level near the ending where I got put in Last Stand equipped with a grenade launcher... Longest five seconds in my life.
Yeah, Spelunky is really a game with the perfect difficulty, the more you want to challenge yourself the more is out there for you to find.
Beating Olmec is within everyones reach but the rest of the challenges take a real level of mastery and the game systems just seem deeper and deeper as you get into them. I hope Spelunky 2 is the same.
still can't do the speedrun achievement so I'll never 100% Spelunky
Very sad
>All trophies for all three Dark Souls games
>SL1 completed Dark Souls 1 and 2, got bored doing it on 3 but beat Pontiff.
>Starting dagger only Dark Souls 2, wasn't that hard but still
>Speedrun Dark Souls 1 from beginning to DLC entrance in a little over an hour
...
actually enjoying video games and not participating in hardware wars
...
>more people have the "lost a hero to hunger" than "complete the game" achievement
pathetic
I don't even know, in the end I move on to other games before doing the hardest stuff.
I dropped Spelunky before completing co-op and 500k gold
I dropped Super Meatboy with only half of the worlds completed with no deaths
I never got golden masks (or whatever it was) in Payday, but I had only one level to complete on hardest difficulty
Never actually went through Don't Starve campaign, just survived for 100+ days and stopped playing
Multiplayer games are multiplayer games, there were some rare good moments, but who cares.
It's not that hard to die from hunger.
...
Vidmaster Challenge: Annual
...
Got Helioskrill legit. (All numbered Halos on Legendary)
Beat Bit.Trip Runner.
Quit Dota.
That's about it.
Actually nvm there's also 200% in Bamham City and 240% in Bamham Knight.
I beat Mario Lost Levels without save states
I've gotten to at least stage 15 in Mappy
Is it wrong if I felt Halo:CE's Legendary Run was more miserable than Halo 2's?
I'm calling bullshit on this, you cheated and got the achievement that way. There's no way in hell anyone on earth can make enough sense of the caravan rules to win 30 fucking hands of it.
Is there a more maddening game to 100%?
Achievements are pretty trash as a concept.
Just a cheap way to focus test and provide dopamine drips without making any actual content.
beating antarctica in 1001 Spikes
getting all the perfects in Rhythm Heaven
deleting Stella Glow when I realized I wasn't having fun despite playing for 60 hours
...
how many times did you do it again?
Zombie Chopper
DS games are not hard faggot
La Mulana without any help
probably because anyone who was good enough at the game to beat it stopped playing after specific changes that happened prior to it being completed
That's understandable, I thought they were fairly close in difficulty. The thing about CE is that you can really screw yourself over by continuing with one bar of health, whereas the later games keep the difficulty more consistent by doing away with persistent health.
Dustforce Yotta SS
>beating the game on expert is more rare than the get A-rank or higher from all bosses achievements
Huh
Lately, I've been playing a load of free games on steam for the achievements. It's pretty pathetic, but I'm just trying to get as many perfect games as possible.
I don't have a lot of time for video games right now, so I actually get more satisfaction from a 30-60 minute free game that I play pretty much purely for the achievements than I do from a huge, hundreds of hours long game.
>all halos on legendary
all skulls next user
you can do it!
A few months ago, I brought my two different Siege groups together and I MVPed.
We tried it again this week and I only got one kill between two matches.
Spelunky is the embodiment of gitting gud in a video game.
Just hold RUN and hope you find lots of bombs in crates.
Me too...probably because I've never had a nes, I had a master systema instead

The fucking 7day in dead rising
A fun one. Documented the whole thing.
Mine I guess. Rarest one I have.
what are the best free games you've played?
beat Pokemon Gold Jap version (rom, before english release) without knowing the tiniest single bit of demon runes.
Was so invested into it that I knew which item did what, just recognized the characters but had no idea what they meant or how to read them.
Dont think I have the patience nowadays to ever repeat that though
These two I guess.
oh and for reference for you kids, this was pretty much before the age of walkthroughs.
>Killer is dead 100%
Great taste my man.
When I first beat browser in the mario game I always forget the name of. The one with all the islands and you could ride yoshi.
Young me beat my head against that for weeks.
Never did figure out the alt route on that one bridge.
...
did that on Hard
...
>Multiplayer games are multiplayer games, there were some rare good moments, but who cares.
Oh that reminds me. When I killed like 30 guys it an unreal tournament game from my tank as they spawned. I was just in the zone.
Granted they were bots
What game is this?
I used to have Wrath of the Lamb 100%'ed until they added the new bullet-sponge bosses. I was already pissed off at the bullet-sponge bosses in Rebirth at that point, so I never completed those. Fuck you Florian Himsl, you Austrian wanker.
DId that for Afterbirth, that was quite possibly the most tedious shit I ever did in a video game.
Why would anyone ever want to do it again with AB+ is beyond me.
Antenna, Missing Translation, Element 120 Silver Creek Falls and The Monster Inside are ones I played and actually enjoyed a lot.
They're all super casual and not challenging at all, but they're well made and sometimes that's just the shit you wanna play for 30 minutes or so after 10 hours at work.
>spoiler
Stelaris for me.
Not huge.
Felt good like an actual achievement having to write notes down and know routes
Next up is Chris
What do you consider a bullet sponge boss?
Something about this game just clicks for me. I've played for a few hundred hours since getting that achievement and still haven't felt bored.
godspeed
I was pretty happy after getting the 'true' ending to Eternal Darkness. You have to play 3 times, each playthrough picking a different god. Its only an extra scene at the end, but I got really good and just blitzing thru the enemies and bosses.
Got all the achievement in the 2016 Hitman while only using a guide for the easter egg achievements.
Not much, but it was the first time I ever 100% completed a game.
Not mine, but I admire this guys dedication (and patience)
Zelda 2. It's a screenshot of me only dying twice for a full runthrough.
Installing 300 games and not playing a single one of them
How many hours user?
I once came so fucking close to doing this
A million times this
Achievments is a fucking cancer, I'm pretty sure it causes brain damage
Element 120 was pretty good. Best one I've played is probably Portal Stories. Also swarmriders which you can 100% in 150 seconds.
to clarify, I mean specifically """"achivements"""" like what started on the xbox and is now standard on steam and wow.
I beat La-Mulana without a guide
...
Did qnybody here figure out how to open the crates with the handles in lego city undercover without looking it up?
All of these
So you're saying that the task that the achievement represents is inherently unimpressive despite any actual difficulty involved simply because there's an image that pops up when you do it?
>Dumb Wojack posting
>Calling anything else brain cancer
>"B-but its ironic"
Go die in a fire.
Just hit 700. That's a lot for me honestly.
I should clarify, I think it was around 400 when I got the achievement. I've just kept playing since then.
I just can't do it. I used to play Rebirth every day and 100% it, but I just seriously can't anymore. The game really isn't fun anymore with the stupid changes made in AB and AB+
is that game even worth getting? I played it once and I remember being frustrated with it
One Faith, Europa Universalis 4
I really didn't mind any of the ab and ab+ changes. I think the most tedious thing for me was the greed hard more achievements, but other than that I thought most of the stuff was fun.
My nigga. 242 hours and the relief was magical.
Wait for it to go on a deep sale. The game's an acquired taste, so wait for it to be at least 75% off so in case you end up hating the game, it won't be a huge loss.
I can't prove anything because I don't have any of my shit on this computer, but I got all the par times in Mighty Switch Force without using the mega shot.
I fucking hate myself for this
>actually buying cards
You should hate yourself.
meh
fuck full comboing even though i accomplished doing it in a few levels
I didn't buy cards, I used a dumb "do surveys and watch videos" site. It actually worked, I got many cards and codes for cheap games and tf2 keys and shit. The bad rats badge took a day on there. The site is shit now so don't use it.
100% on the original TBOI and getting 5 stars on all Guitar hero songs
I got 5 day survivor on dead rising but I'm gonna try to get 7 day survivor
That one is easy
