Any of you fags going to PAX East this year to play some vidya...
Went to PAX East during like 2014 and 2015. Really neat experience, though good fucking luck with the parking.
Shame the convention is nothing but a SJW fest now. No desire to go back now
Yes and yes. Also now I get to uninstall the Twitter application from my phone for 11 months so I won't have to deal with panicking every time I hear the notification noise.
Parking hasn't been an issue the last two years I drove in. Just go to whatever lot they have open and get shuttled in, not too much hassle
>And then spend more time in the tabletop area because it's better
Why would you go to PAX East then? Both PAX Unplugged and DragonCon do tabletop conventions better.
Either way, it'll be fun to hit the arcade section again, and it'll at least be a decent excuse to beg off work on a Thursday.
>SJW fest now
Explain
>Why would you go to PAX East then?
Because I live in Mass so it's the easiest drive ever
Not him, but pretty much every panel is either "teased exclusive giveaway with megalines" or "neon hair bitch moans about discrimination to an empty room". I made the mistake of attending a panel one year that was supposedly about the future of multiplayer, but it mostly ended up being nostalgiawank over splitscreen Goldeneye and the "growing problem of harassment in online games."
Thankfully there's more than enough shit going on that panels can be safely ignored.
Nope. PAX East is the worst expo/con I've ever been to and it gets worse every year.
I'm not too keen on the idea of spending $70+ to have no space to stand and get advertised to
It's always fun to find new board games you've never heard of
>Either way, it'll be fun to hit the arcade section again
They didn't have one last year, so if that's something you're excited about you should double check that they have one this year.
>4 days
>53 dollars for a single day
i said FUCK THAT to those prices. every year i get older the less time i want to be around that many fucking autistic men and histrionic BPD women.
I'll grab a scalped ticket or something if protomen show up, but the fact that there are next to zero interesting games on the horizon and that it's become nu-male sjw gender neutral bathroom central, i'll take a nice big fucking pass at that.
>if protomen show up
I remember seeing them at PAX East the second year or something. They weren't that good live. Also were so fucking drunk their singer didn't know what year it was
online games need a screenwatching element to satisfy my nostalgia and so i can claim to not be using it while definetly using it
There's gotta be at least a few more of you fuckers going
Convince me
Go play some new games, shot the shit with devs if you aren't full autismo, and discover some new video and board games you never heard about. If you do go honestly I'd suggest just checking out the smaller game booths. Those will have the actual devs there and games you'll be able to play and the lines for the AAA shit are absurd. I've discovered a few games of both kinds I never heard about through PAX that I love
My friends pretty much don't breathe without their gfs say so. Would this be any fun alone?
Never been alone so honestly I can't say. I genuinely don't think it would be as good if you don't have at least someone else to go with (usually when we get board in the vidya area we move over to tabletop and play shit until everything closes down)
I'll take that into consideration and try to find someone. Do tickets sell out fast?
Saturday was sold out in minutes like always. The other days I don't recall how fast they usually sell out, but honestly try and look into getting them in the next few days. Also as a heads up Sunday is usually a short end day relative to all the others
Thanks for the advice. I figured, I've been to a few others events like this and the last day is always the shortest. I hate how no convention ever has a complete schedule when they start selling tickets though.
I'm going to Unplugged in 10 days.
t. First timer. Any recommendations for booths to visit or whatever?
any thicc daddy types going to Pax Unplugged want to meet up and plug up my boypucci? :3c
wtf? Yes they did.
