Literally everything died in like 1-3 hits. Also my play time was a lot shorter than my first one.
Played through dark souls 3 a second time and steam rolled through it with the greatsword
oh wow gra8 sword OP AS FUKK pplease NERF IT devs or i will scream!!!
lol guts
Yeah, DS3 is athe easiest game in the series by a marathon. Guess that's why people on this board seem to prefer it over DS2 and Bloodborne.
Bruh, DS is easily the easiest of them all. Also people prefer DS3 over DS2 because DS2 sucked.
DS1 has more bad design deaths than the rest, level geometry and whatnot, but otherwise it is definitely the easiest. Parrying makes 70 percent of it trivial
My MAX VIT/STR build was actually the most fun build I did in ds3.
Ran Cathedral Set+Yhorm's Greatshield and Vordt's Hammer for the first half of the game, switched it up to Profaned Greatsword for the second half.
Give no fucks about getting hit and send fuckers literally flying on top of absurd damage.
Most fun I've had in ds3 by far.
Silly shit like that is where DS2 shines. Max str power stancing smelter Hammers, pancakes everything, melting through hp
Falling to your death doesn't count unless it was an intentional jump thinking you could make it or some asshole knocking you off a cliff. Otherwise DS would definitely be the "hardest" seeing as how the vast majority of my deaths were "fell off a cliff I didn't even know was there" and "died from falling damage despite simply getting stuck on an object".
NG in DaS3 is a joke. Enemies do no damage and the boost in health that they get is minuscule. The only reason to even do NG in DaS3 is to try and play through the game again with an end-game weapon, which is just a fucking waste anyway because everything dies so fast you can't even get a real experience, regardless of how high NG you go.
>he doesn't play every initial playthrough of a Souls-game as Guts
ya played yourself
Wow you must have really hated this awful game to have played it twice.
I'm replaying the ringed city DLC.
And now I have to wonder why I liked it so much on my first playthrough.
There's nothing but gimmick fights in that entire DLC, not to mention the entire demon prince fight is a giant fuck you.
Turning a bullshit 2v1 into a 2 phase fight? Fucking really?
I never called the game bad. I was surprised that there are weapons that make the game easy.
>Put ~14 hours into a game.
>Maybe it gets better in NG?
>Beat NG in ~4 hours.
>Nope.
It's not like DaS3 is very long.
it's not called 'great' for nothing
You wouldnt get away with that in ds2
Would you be surprised if I told you that you could literally one hit every single boss in all of these games with magic?
2v1 to 1v1 in a Darksouls game who'dove thunk.
Go bleed/frostbite build and the game becomes a complete joke. DaS3 is so easy to cheese through, even on accident, it's sad.
its a shame so many no fun allowed autists always cry about shit like this and demand it gets nerfed
Bloodborne is the easiest though.
Yeah, I'm stupid for pointing that out, but there's no need to rehash that idea.
Especially when it's the first fight in the dlc
>Know where everything does and what they do, where all the secrets+buffs are
>steamroll the content that is designed around the mystery of not knowing what to do and where to go
>the game's difficulty is literally 70% based on simply "knowing what to do" and the rest is timing and managing your resources
wow dude how did u manage it wtf are u some kind of magician
Do a FTH/DEX run and kill nameless King for his spear. Bonus points if you do it around level 50 and +6 weapons to invade with.
Even at the basic stats and unupgraded, it is so fucking overpowered.
>havel build in ds1
>slow as fuck but become a fucking tank
>havel build in ds2
>still tanky but now can actually move
>havel build in ds3
>can barely move and cant land a single hit because i get staggered by unarmed corpses
>also miniscule damage absorption lol
No I didn't know that, I usually play the games with a long sword and shield from start to end for the first playthrough
I play melee only in all the games as well but yeah magic is comically overpowered.

You can one shot some of BB's with viscerals and the cannon too.
>do shieldless run of ds1
>O & S on NG+ almost as hard as the first time
Is there anything important past the Spider's Bell? I don't think I want to deal with that place, seems like a clusterfuck to me.
And is now a good time to attempt Artorias' DLC? Or is that an endgame level area?
>Is there anything important past the Spider's Bell?
One of the Lord Souls and I would recommend doing AotA when you have a fully upgraded weapon but obviously you can do it whenever you want.
The DaS2 video is using a trainer/cheat engine though. Most of the bosses he's fighting at an absurdly high level using gear and spells you can't even have at that time, and he's not on NG either.
I hate the movesets on most weapons, especially those giant gay swords
>One of the Lord Souls
And I guess I need that to get to Gwyn, like the Lord Vessel past Sen's Fortress? Seems like they just plopped a bunch of enemies together down there and called it a day though.
Like why six Capra Demons in a place with sketchy landscape like that? And I don't even want to know what those things hanging out on the lava field are.
Eh whatever, complaining is not really gonna help.
Demon Ruins/Lost Izalith is a contender for worst level not just in the Souls series but video games in general, I would advise doing that last personally.
2v1 part is easy because the ai are autistic, phase 2 can be difficult or not, depending on if you still have estus and which one you chose.
The Greatsword is better in dark souls 2 than in dark souls 3, the move set is better and it's easy to get an max very early, also in dark souls due to strength division for requirement, instead of adding 50% of your strength. You can wield it with 14 strength and 10 dex, at +10 she has S ratio in strength.
Yeah, I just left after I accidentally made that boss trip over and saw what was past the lava. With such a cool name like Ceaseless Discharge he deserved much better than that, poor guy.
Thanks for the info, by the way.
I'd say DS2 was by a pretty wide margin because of how populous the fucking bonfires were.
Plus you can wield two of them for a fucking meme tier character.
Why do we hate DaS2 again?
Hitboxes for me, also every boss had a huge health pool
Hate to say it user, but git gud.
Removing Powerstancing made DaS3 so boring.
>not staying at like level 38, running through the game, acquiring gear and rings and shitting on people as they try to progress
Is this SotFS? There's no way these fuckers had hitboxes this good in the base version.
>every boss had a huge health pool
What are you slapping them with, a wet noodle? A lot of bosses die fairly fast before NG+3.
Because it's hilariously bad in every possible way.
>CHOSEN UNDEADS BLASTING OFF AGAIN
Are there any bosses besides Midir and Laurence in the series that really have obscene amounts of health? Those are the only two bosses where it felt like they were just walking health pools and even then it wasn't really until later NG cycles.
>beating it in 14 hours
rofl how much content did you skip you nigger
>beating NG in 4 hours
ohh i see you've never played the game
holy shit are you really telling me that your second playthrough was faster and better than your first jesus christ i cant fucking believe this how is that even possible i cant even comprehend i wish i could shake your hand good sir holy fuck what a stunning revelation im so fucking wet and horny right now you dont even know like holy shit what a huge fucking deal this is for you and i good for you i mean that really
t. brainlet
youtube.com
but on the second play through you should be more i depth into the mechanics so you would spend more time tweaking your build
Hitboxes in DaS2 lie entirely within your Adaptability.
you mean to tell me that some people play the game differently not just the first time but the second time and perhaps maybe even the nth time holy shit i just can not believe this i gotta take a moment to process all this like wow just im having a hard time typing because im standing up and clapping as i attempt to type this but unfortunately thats kinda hard but believe me im definitely standing up and clapping right now i think i may even cry
They lie entirely within your ability to not be shit.
>rofl how much content did you skip you nigger
DaS3 is a straight line.
>ohh i see you've never played the game
Stop projecting your shittery onto everyonee else. DaS3 should be a six hour game at most after your first run.
no is going to take you seriously
Retards like the one who made this webm are why we got stuck with the retarded unpunishable roll in DaS3.
Dunno what you niggers are smoking, but DS2 was by far the hardest game for me. I've died in the iron passage alone and while fighting the blue smelter more times than I've ever died in the entirety of 3.
I'm actually curious how long it took you to beat DaS3. The biggest consensus on release was that it was way too short for a Souls game, with most people saying they beat it in 12 to 16 hours. I have absolutely no clue what you'd do in NG that would increase the duration of a playthrough beyond 6 hours, as absolutely nothing is different besides a few worthless rings.
>The biggest consensus on release was that it was way too short for a Souls game, with most people saying they beat it in 12 to 16 hours.
I find it weird that you're too embarrassed to say how long it took you, but you'll continue screaming bait.
I wasn't even the guy you were originally talking to but you definitely are baiting, I didn't play it until this year so I got the version that had both DLCs in them and by the time I killed Gael I think I had ~50 hours so to do all the content in the base game was probably ~40 hours for me.
>I didn't play it until this year so I got the version that had both DLCs in them and by the time I killed Gael I think I had ~50 hours so to do all the content in the base game was probably ~40 hours for me.
How? What were you doing that the game took you this long? Most of the areas take a half hour to get through at most. This was a pretty common complaint here back around the game's release.
I guess going in completely blind, while also dying a dozen or more times on each boss, trying to find every single item in the game, and farming for armor sets or rare drops could get you to somewhere around that number of hours, but jesus.
The shortest I completed a Souls game on my first time was Bloodborne which I did in about 35 hours and that was without touching a single Chalice Dungeon. I meticulously explore all of the areas and I was stuck on NK alone for probably two or so hours, I know for a fact you didn't beat DaS3 on your first time in 12 hours though.
I beat it in 14 or 15 hours using the Hollowslayer and Merc starting class.
No it shouldn't. The speedrun for all bosses is something like an hour and a half. I doubt players who aren't autistic are going to have even a tenth of that time.
>Autism is breezing through the game quickly.
>Not obsessively farming and picking up every little item for no reason.
i'm playing through ds2 (sotfs) for the first time. so far i'd say its more like the attack tracking for enemies is bullshit, but the hit boxes are okay. only seen a few really bad hit boxes so far. the bosses to me seem like they all go down surprisingly fast. like some bosses have gone down before i even knew the fight was over practically.
wait wait WAIT, are you telling me that you steamrolled thru a Souls game with a STR build? Holy shit user, you are a madman
>not staying lvl 30 and invading forever
I remember on release everyone was complaining that STR builds were shit and enemies moved too fast to use heavy weapons against. STR actually seems easier than DEX in 3 because you can abuse range and catch enemies who like to jump all over the place, exception for long swords of course.
...
>easily the easiest
absolutely shit game design, what were the devs on?
Are you seriously implying DaS isn't the easiest?
Mostly cause hyperarmor was shit on release and some stuff like great club/mace/axe was slow as hell. Besides quality provide you with better stuff and more damage.
I don't think that's actually true because the hitboxes are unusually wide even if you aren't rolling, e.g. you have the same "how did that hit me?" shit even when using using shields instead of rolls. I think it's just really large hitboxes and i-frames and that's it.
>he hasnt seen people praise morrowinds combat
literally what I do every time
It has never been that way. People just wanted to blame the game, rather than admit that they couldn't time their fucking dodges, so they started making shit up.
here's your (you)
Yeah that totally didnt happen in DS1
I remember great clubs did so little damage for their attack speed that they were almost unusable against bosses because you wouldn't be able to get away after swinging once.
I miss being able to power stance this.
